It's always nerve wracking going somewhere new because it is a lot to spend for something that might not be great - but rest assured, you don't have to worry here! This was the best massage I've ever had. Kristen really took the time to listen to me explain exactly where I was hurting and what I was hoping to get out of the experience. She absolutely knows what she is doing! I could feel her fixing me, all the while I was so relaxed, even when she worked on some of my tender muscle pains. I was in a lot of pain, and my cousin who is Dr O'Brien's patient called him to see if he could squeeze me in and he kindly found time that same afternoon. The office environment was very pleasant and tranquil, and Dr O'Brien had the best treatment table I'd ever been on. He started with some electro-stimulation of the painful area, and then I got on the table, told him to do whatever it took, and from the first move, I knew I was literally in good (great) hands! He expertly positioned me for every adjustment, and after 3 substantial moves, I got off the table feeling like a million bucks! While this was not a planned vacation activity(hah!), it allowed me to really enjoy the rest of my time there which otherwise would have been a train-wreck!

I felt incredible afterward and didn't hesitate to book my next appointment before I left. After a quick Google search, I was lucky enough to find a spot open that week with Tieko Massage. Upon arriving, Tieko was very welcoming and I instantly felt relaxed. I had reserved a 90 minute deep tissue massage with a cupping add-on and let me tell you, once I was on the warm massage table, I was transported to another world. The experience started with warm mitts for hands, feet, and a warm cushion for under my neck. This little detail is something often missing with most massages or considered an add-on so it was a pleasant surprise that helped me to relax more quickly. I have a desk job so I keep a lot of tension in my back and neck area so most of the massage and cupping was focused on those areas, but not so much that the other body areas were neglected. She was intuitive and attentive to pressure - noticing where my body needed more attention which allowed me to decompress and not continually guide her in the massage. The overall experience was better than I had even hoped for. At the end of my session, I purchased three gift certificates for her massages for loved ones and I have already booked my next appointment with her - next up... lymphatic massage!
