He then went to my shins. poking and prodding. No massage. I reminded him that it was for foot reflexology. OMG. He insulted me. He put on the tv set and watched it continually, commenting on the pictures. He jumped up and began doing squats, telling me if massaging my knee caps hurt, I should be doing squats. He told me I was insanely tall. He massaged the tops of my feet. Almost everything but reflexology!!! And ALWAYS with ONE HAND ONLY!!! Seriously? And then he moved to my right foot. Same thing. But I was pretty annoyed by then, so no knee cap massage, and no shins. I asked him about the parts of refelxology, (of which I've been having for more than 10 years), such as where is the heart, stomach, etc. His response was to look at the picture on the wall and then go back to my foot. Seriously???? And then he went back to massaging the top of my foot and was extremely disappointed when I turned off the tv. big pass. don't waste your money. Pay more and go elsewhere!!

Although Stephanie did my first balayage, I wanted to go lighter, and I've since seen Emily for toner, a hair cut and balayage. The salon is super welcoming and they're very good at accommodating your schedule. I've been able to book appointments online, and they make sure I've booked the appropriate service as their online booking can be a little confusing. You can also contact them through Instagram, which is really convenient for me. The balayage cost about $250 the first time, and around the same the second, with 2 toners, blow dry and about 4.5 hours of effort. It wasn't quite perfect when we finished, since there was a bang piece that I wanted to be dark instead of coloured, and Emily made sure I had an appointment booked so she could fix it (for free!). My hair is beautiful, and they've done such an amazing job. I've gotten so many compliments. The price is quite reasonable for the location and fantastic work, I would definitely recommend this salon for anyone looking to get their hair coloured! Thanks Emily!!

The prices are fairly high, but the products are worth it. Monique is also very knowledgeable and will spend a lot of time with you to answer your questions and help you pick out the right products for you. As well as beauty products the store also has organic teas, chocolate, superfoods, and supplements. A lot of the brands are really unique and hard to find in other stores. I've never bought anything I didn't like from Anise Apothecary - I will definitely be coming back to check out the new products, and to buy some of my favourites like the oils, the health foods, and some treats (like the chocolate!). Very happy to have this place easily accessible in Burlington! They also just told me about a new app they have - where you can upload money and pay with it! You earn rewards (points) that you can redeem when you earn enough. I think it's pretty great - especially with all other rewards programs for big chain places out there!

Gotta say, so many people had mentioned to me that laser isn't permanent, but my original areas of bikini and underarms are free of any hair growth a year later, and I love not having to wax/shave anymore!
