We celebrated a friend's anniversary at Theo's this past Saturday and had such a great experience. The service was attentive without being over the top, the food was delicious, and the wine was perfect. What really stood out was how welcoming everything felt--the kind of warm, genuine Greek hospitality that makes you feel right at home. Big thank you to Theo, Grace, and the whole team for making it such a special night. We'll definitely be back!

We came to Theo's for a light bite and a drink and had a really nice experience. The Santorini wine was delicious with a great mineral finish. We started with the Theo's chips, which were super tasty, and also enjoyed the bread with hummus to start. The bartender was extremely attentive and helpful with suggestions, which made the experience even better. I absolutely loved the flavor of the chicken souvlaki -- it was really well seasoned and cooked nicely. My only small complaint was that for the price, I wish the rice had a bit more flavor or that it came with a better side. After seeing the person next to us order the Greek salad with added chicken, I kind of wished I had tried that too -- it looked great! We'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

Theo's Estiatorio on Sunrise Boulevard is one of the best Greek restaurants in Fort Lauderdale. After recently returning from a trip to the Greek Islands, Mykonos and Santorini...we were craving authentic Greek food, and this restaurant truly delivered. We started with handcrafted cocktails, including the Santorini Sunset cocktail and a cheese-stuffed olive vodka martini, both excellent. For appetizers, we had the zucchini flowers stuffed with three cheeses, lightly battered and perfectly fried. We also ordered the Melitzanosalata (Greek eggplant spread) and Santorini fava, both incredibly authentic and flavorful, served with warm pita bread. For dinner, the whole branzino with olive oil, lemon, and capers was fresh and perfectly cooked. The lamb shank over orzo was tender, rich, and full of traditional Greek flavor. Dessert included coconut cake with coconut ice cream and classic Greek baklava, both outstanding. From the food to the service and atmosphere, Theo's Estiatorio offers a true taste of Greece in Fort Lauderdale. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Greek cuisine, fresh seafood, and a great dining experience.

Theos Estiatorio is a beautiful restaurant however their food is overrated. I lived in Tarpon Springs, a Greek community with excellent food. I've had Greek food from five star restaurants to mom and pops. I was not impressed with this place. Greeks in the area had said that this restaurant was excellent in social media . The octopus was supposed to be amazing. It was mundane at best. It was already chopped up in little pieces in a tiny bowl and no charbroil flavor to it. It did not taste half as good as other grilled octopus that I've had at other restaurants. The complementary bread, four dry slices came with a tablespoon of hummus, a drizzle of oil of oil and three olives. The hummus was not even that good. I've made better. The pita bread was better, but that's only if you order a spread. One friend ordered wine, the other ordered delicious limoncello martini. I ordered a beer. The beer was excellent. That was probably the best thing that I had all night. One friend ordered the shrimp appetizer, which was good, the other ordered a potato spread with almonds. The spread was good, but I've had much better. The tzatziki was not good. There were no pieces of cucumber in it. It did not taste fresh. It did not taste like traditional tzatziki at all. I had the Chilean Seabass as my main course. It was good, but again nothing to write home about. I've made better with Seabass from Kosher fish. Both of my friends had the lamb shank. I tried it and did not really think it was all that. Again, overall, I was not impressed with the food. I was only impressed with the decor. The walnut cake. My friend had was dry and too much spice in it. I made this cake. It's not dry. It's moist from the syrup you pour over it. The other Friend had a chocolate lava cake. I asked the waiter what desserts are made in the house. he said the first two and then he said everything is homemade. Everything is not homemade . That was a bold face lie. I was not impressed with our waiter, Sebastian. He made several rude comments that I did not appreciate as a patron. Needless to say I don't think I will be going back. Greek Islands Taverna has much better food and service.

A place that feels like someone's home, run by family. Elegant decor. Professional and friendly staff. Amazing menu. Wonderful outside seating. Perfect for intimate dinner, family and large parties. The best greek food!!!

Lobster pasta

Very delicious food with exquisite decor and friendly staff. Definitely make a reservation because it was fully packed from 6 to 9 pm with line almost out the door. There's indoor seating and bar seating with some tables outside as well. We started with some appetizers. There's a lot of cold and hot options, raw and cooked. Our selection of 4 spreads was amazing - Melitzanosalata (similar to babaganoush, Taramosalata (my favorite with the carp roe), Skordalia (light and slightly sweet), Ktipiti (very thick and creamy). We ran out of pita quickly and had to order more. The grilled octopus was very tender and had a nice tangy onion topping. The spanikopita was flakey on the outside and creamy on the inside. The kefte was juicy and fluffy, not dense or overcooked. For entrees, we shared the lobster pasta which had nice chunks of lobster meat but overall was a bit in the salty side. I was a little sad that my plate didn't come with the head and tail decor I've seen on other reviews. The lamb shank was fall off the bone and had very rich flavors. The char grilled red snapper was a little overcooked and the seasoning was a little bland. Server also forgot to bring the side of rice. The lamb chops were delicious, cooked perfectly and paired well with the side of lemon potatoes. Will be back to try more dishes!

This place is right around the corner where I live and I have kept putting off going because of this fact; believing I will go "next week" only to fill in my dinning-out experience somewhere else. Well, after finally going this past weekend I regret that I have neglected it up to this time. It is easily a top 5 dinning experience in Florida for me and hands down the best Mediterranean restaurant I have eaten at in the States. I mean everything was outstanding, from the bread and appetizers, to the main course. I don't think of Mediterranean for deserts but they have the best coconut cake I have ever ever tasted. Thank you Susanna for the outstanding service. Can't wait to get back and I plan to be a regular. To the management team: I believe you should lose the cowbell birthday celebrations, which come across frightening loud, annoying and unfitting for the vibe of this great fine dinning establishment.

Patrick was great! Came here for a special birthday for a friend and was very impressed. Food and service were excellent and our whole party enjoyed the ambiance!

I had a great dining experience at Theos Estiatorio! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Fort Lauderdale now. The interior is nicely decorated, limited seating inside and outside, the service terrific (Sebastian was our waiter) and the food delicious! I ordered the Creamy Lemoncello Martini, Skordalia and Lamb Shank with a side of tzakiki and walnut cake for dessert accompanied with Greek coffee. A hint for parking, parking is available on the side street and in the plaza one block away. The bathroom is nicely decorated as well and non gender.

Wow! Theos translates to God. We had a goddess in our party tonight. Yelper Mary Ann C told Yelper Dara B and me that this restaurant was on her bucket list. We went along for the ride. Super chic and classy. The stand out appetizer for me was the Shrimp Saganaki. Another Yelper got it and said it would be their go to meal every time they came back. I would agree. I'd get it every time, too. The Chilean Sea Bass is light and fresh. The Lamb Shank is heavy and full of flavor. I'm a baklava snob and opted out for the Valrhona Lava Cake. It's a I'll stab you with my fork if you try and take a bite kind of treat. My glass of wine was a white wine from Greece. Dara let me have a sip of her Lemoncello Martini and I quickly switched from wine so I could have my own martini. This is a place to see and be seen. It's expensive, but well worth crossing it off a bucket list.

Guys!!!! Believe me when I say, Theos is top tier!! I really love a great restaurant with a good ambiance! It's so warm & cozy! It's small & intimate, & the staff is so personable! From the moment u walk through the front door, ur greeted by a lovely lady, who already took the time to read my Open Table notes & did everything to accommodate hubby & me! She found us the perfect table for two, away from a large group & we ended up being the only ones on our side of the restaurant! Next, our server was Suzana! She's from Serbia & now I'm thinking I need to visit that country, because if everyone is as sweet as her, it's got to be a wonderful place! She was so attentive & regularly checked on us to see if we needed anything. The food!!!! OMG!!! Can u say delish??? Everything was seasoned to perfection! For appetizers we had the Greek salad & the spanakopita! Chef's kiss! We both had the lamb chops, which came with 4 chops, lemon potatoes, & tzatziki! I never needed to add any salt to anything!! Kudos to the chef for properly seasoning food!! Oh wait! Did I mention the complimentary bread?? It came with olive oil, hummus, & kalamata olives! My husband ordered the walnut cake for dessert & they came out with it lit, with a sparkle candle, singing happy birthday to him! It was the perfect end to our evening! I will have to go back to try their branzino & baklava! I was so full, I had to take half my food home! I'm laying in bed right now in a total food coma!! Thank u, Theos, for a lovely evening!

Greek classy bistro with terrific ambience and service with good but aggressively priced entrees. 5 star ambience: on a busy corner next to Gateway Theater, they've done a good god of minimizing the hubbub of Federal and Sunrise interchange. There even outdoor seating next to the street and a beautiful interior 5 star service: staffers here are uniformly polite and helpful. Literally everyone there will check to be sure all is fine 4 star food: the food itself is great. The problem is the prices seem aggressive even for a classy place in a high rent neighborhood

Absolutely phenomenal dinner at Theos last night. We took my in laws for their anniversary and although we'd frequented Theos and enjoyed it, they were over the moon excited to try for the first time. From the moment we walked in, Mario greeted us and service was exceptional. The star of the show is the food here and you CANNOT go wrong at Theos. Every item is fresh, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. My favorite spread is the Skordalia, the pitas are served warm and fresh and I must also give an honorable mention to my Key Lime Pie Martini. It's the best I've EVER had! I also love the Santorini salad which i rarely ever find at restaurants here and if I do, they skimp on the feta and serve you a bowl of watermelon. The portions are quite generous might I add and there is no skimping on anything here. Overall, Theos is and continues to be our favorite for greek food. My in-laws could not stop raving about their night out at Theos and were impressed with every inch of love and detail poured into this business by Theo and Grace. Looking forward to many more visits and continued success for years to come.

This restaurant continues to tease me to come back with it's very cozy and cute interior. However,…read moreI am left feeling that the service and food does not match the price you are paying. I was meeting up with 5 other guys for a dinner gathering. All of us separate. We started first at the bar for a cocktail until everyone arrived. When asked to close out my bar tab since our table was ready, the bartender gave me the bill for all of us! I quickly told her that I was on my own and she never smiled or joked or said she was sorry just a nasty glance. I don't know why it's such a big deal for restaurants to deal with each individual customer. We are not a family, we are out together but our finances are not combined. I paid over $100 for a meal and appetizers. You can do this for us. They made such a big deal about dividing up the check for us that we had to call the manager and he wasn't all that friendly. The waiter said he would split it over 3 cards but that was all he was willing to do and that didn't help us. They eventually did break down the bill for us. They may have been 50% capacity at best so they weren't busy. No reason to be so snotty. Personally I don't think they liked that 6 gay men were eating dinner there together in the first place. This table of 6 gay men probably tipped them more than the rest around them. They better wake up. Didn't even come back to ask if my meal was OK or take an additional drink order. Secondly the food. I ordered the scallops because I find them difficult to cook myself correctly. Apparently they have a problem too. Most of the places over cook them and they get a little rubbery but the opposite was true here. They were slightly undercooked, browned only on one side, giving them a slightly slimy texture in the middle, served on a bed of liquefied potatoes (yuck) and spinach pretty much inedible unless you want potato soup. Another guy also got the same thing and had the same problem. The lamb chops seemed to be the highlight of the evening for those that got them and the baklava was very moist and tasty. I just don't feel that any person on this staff went out of their way to make our dining experience the one it should have been with such a high end attitude. You should be kissing our butts so we want to come back. Some of the food was good and others not so good. We didn't send things back because frankly the service was so slow even though they weren't that busy. There are plenty of other Greek restaurants around with better food, cheaper prices, better service and friendly service. Yeah we took more work, maybe an extra 10 minutes for the 6 of us but you got a bigger tip than you deserved for this experience.
