About three months ago I moved to Breda, and found KoffieTentje through a friend - I'm going to be…read morehonest, I probably wouldn't have found the place if it weren't for him, but wow, I'm glad I did. KoffieTentje is a very cute, small and stylish coffee bar. There's a very calm and laid back atmosphere making it perfect to sit in and unwind while enjoying your coffee (and perhaps a piece of brownie? Trust me, their brownies are amazing.) While ordering my coffee, I've chatted with the owner a few times and to simply put it, she's incredibly nice and welcoming. She doesn't mind having a little chat and seems genuinely interested. So if you're looking for great coffee, either for sitting in or taking it with you on your trip to work or university - KoffieTentje is the right choice!

Though I'd never say that Dutch coffee is bad, I'd maybe say that sometimes it can lack a full flavour. So to say that in the first month since opening I've darkened KoffieTenTje's door nearly a dozen times, I'm very impressed with their coffee. The interior is friendly, earthly and modern, and the music is always good (a mix of chilled electronica and folk). The vibe very much reminds me of a less busy Five Elephants (Berlin-based coffee heaven). Lastly I have to say something about the woman who owns it; basically she's lovely. Welcoming, happy, remembers you and your order. I've chatted with her a few times, sometimes in Dutch, more often in English and she's always chatty. In short; great coffee, great atmosphere, great owner.

We wanted to find somewhere to eat within a short walk of the Museumplein as we had 1:15 p.m…read more tickets for the Rijksmuseum. My wife located this place and we met up with our daughter there after she dropped off her rented bike nearby. If you walk to the far end of the park from the Rijksmuseum and turn left at the street that borders the park there, the restaurant is about 2 blocks along there. You enter into a small waiting area and proceed between 2 counters. The best way I can describe the process is that it was like an ice cream shop in the U.S. They had glass displays showing what was available for meals - varieties of pasta, etc. You could select from those, or I think they had salads also. You place your order and then grab a table. A server will bring the food out when it is ready. Seating was a bit limited, so there could be a wait for a table. We arrived just before they got busy, though. They have about 5 or 6 small tables on the ground floor. If those are full, a fallback option is to ascend the spiral stairs up to a low-ceilinged loft. This is where we ate. The chairs here were fine but the tables were quite small - almost like a high coffee table. It wasn't hard to eat off these, just a bit different than usual. Also, if you are much over 6 feet tall, the ceilings will require caution. They can probably accommodate another 3 - 4 small parties up there. Everyone liked their food, which definitely had that 'prepared fresh' vibe. I got the pasta and had no trouble finishing it. I'd definitely consider eating here again were I back in the area.

We wanted a quiet small dinner, no complications 1 Veg, 1 Carnivore. Renzo's was great. We picked…read morefrom the deli counter, heating optional. Delicious selections. Mostly semi Italian deli items. I had ravioli, stuffed mushroom, roasted veggies, rocket and generous parmigiana sprinkling. They have tables so we could eat there. Small place, hard working, cool looking deserts (skipped because we had stuff back at the hotel.). I think they may have had table service upstairs, call and ask if that's your requirement. Lovely neighborhood small deli.
