Upon explaining our situation and mentioning my mother had just died and I needed to redo all the floors in her home for us to live, Laurie didn't even acknowledge the fact and just started writing notes for an assessment. She directed us to the wood and laminate section and told us to ask if we needed anything and then just disappeared for 10 minutes. When she did return, I did ask about price points, and differences from cheapest to most expensive, she snapped that nothing was cheap there. I assured her she knew that I meant the "least expensive". She was very cold and condescending through out the entire interaction. The show room also looks pretty bad. You would think for a flooring place, that they would do the floors to show examples but the floors were all tore up, through the place. One star is for the nice lady who worked there, walked through and complimented my outfit. I decided to cancel the assessment when they called. Talk about starting off on the wrong foot!

While they looked nice, it turns out that the cabinets are made from some form of plastic with a hair thin plastic veneer that is basically a photograph of wood. The adhesive on the veneer failed all at once and the entire veneer panels are simply falling off. It started when I came home and found a veneer panel on the floor. So, I went back to Style Craft and they told me that there was nothing they could do and that other customers have had the same problem. They showed less than zero interest in trying to help me. Their product is junk. Spring for a few extra bucks and buy cabinets built out of real wood.

The previous owners had put screws directly into the grout, leaving some difficult areas to repair. The woman, I think Tara who answered the phone started asking questions about how old the windows were. (I knew where this was going) Immediately she went into a sales pitch about replacing all of my windows and throwing in an obviously rehearsed sales pitch. When I told her I didn't have the money to replace all of my windows now, she said, well I have to tell you we are booking out to 8 weeks. That's the same as getting a ridiculously high quote for a job a contractor doesn't want to do. I guarantee you if I wanted all of my windows replaced, I would not have an 8 week wait. If you're looking to replace all of your windows and doors, perhaps this is a good option for you but clearly they could not be bothered with a "small job" like mine when there's bigger fish to fry. So when it's time to replace my windows, and that day is coming, because they didn't want to help me now, I won't go to them for the big job.
