I've been going here for almost 2 years. The Chapel has been my weekly pep talk for this time. Their teachings line up with what I would consider the truth. It appears that they teach what they believe to be the heart of God based on both covenant theologies, with the new covenant (Jesus) being the focus. All of the pastors do a great job of covering important topics. Providing a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Their message relates to the modern day world that we live in. This church is absolutely great for new comers.
The services are an hour. Music worship usually goes on for 20-30 mins, and a pastor will speak for 30-40 mins. There's a topic, and they stay on topic, and point to scriptures. Then break it down. Then apply it to our modern day lives. They really do well with breaking things down simply so there's no confusion.
They offer lots of opportunities to serve the community.
They offer groups with a more intimate setting. It's easier for people that like smaller settings to form connections with people at groups since the services are packed.
They have youth ministry.
I received help during our last move. Volunteers came out and helped us out, and I was completely blown away by the kindness that we received.
The staff care. A lot. But there's a lot of people that go here. So it may at times feel like you're just another face. That is not the case that I have ever gotten from them. But it's best to serve in some way to form a better connection with anybody at this place of worship.
There is a counseling center next door that can help members in many different ways.
They have their own app that has everything they offer in one place. It's very user friendly.
They offer baptism ceremonies every couple of months. I can personally say that it felt like a very special day. As it should.
The music worship team is so gifted and sound so good.
The Chapel does not ask for money, or tithing. All gifts are encouraged with a cheerful heart and not out of guilt, compulsion, or expectations.
The church attendance may be overwhelming for some. My best guess is there's somewhere between 600-1000 people in attendance for each service, and there are 4 services. It's so cool to see so many people seeking Jesus Christ.
I would love to see a weekly service where they tackled bible study. There are groups that it can be done in, but it would be awesome to watch pastors at The Chapel doing a verse by verse study, and it to be recorded and posted onto youtube for any follower to study the bible with The Chapel. I think many at The Chapel are hungry for this sort of service in the weekly rotation. This is probably the only place that I would love to see The Chapel grow into.
I highly recommend this place of worship unless you need a smaller, and/or more traditional place of worship where they do verse by verse study. read more
