Such a cute theater ! You can get in through the luxia suites entrance next to the Starbucks. You'll see a sign that will lead up stairs to the theater. The price is $9 for a flick and they do have concessions (beer, wines, popcorn, candy, etc.) that are all reasonably priced. You won't feel like the place is packed like a normal multiplex ( which I appreciate ) I've only ever seen them open for 2 showings on the weekends. I wish they had more showings ! The film selections are indie, arthouse, documentaries, and foreign. Nice date night idea too. read more

Gem of a theater in downtown Wilmington. As others have commented, it's not your typical movie theater, but more of a large auditorium with digital projector showing a different genre of movies. Saw The Courier yesterday and had a great time. Plus,unlike regular cinemas, they won't fleece you on the concessions stand, which is much appreciated! read more

Wow how did I not know about this. Beautiful new clean comfortable theatre in downtown Wilmington. Parking is free on the weekends. They show all the arthouse flixs I normally drive into the city to see. And it's only $9 and they serve wine. I can't wait to go back. Super highly recommend!! read more

You can't do better for a cheap Sunday afternoon date than Theater N. Tickets are $5, snackages are a buck, the popcorn is tasty, and the movies are always artsy and obscure. Love it. Best of all, the patrons aren't douchewads who play with their phones or talk through the movie. Protip: If you park in the garage across the street, the theater will validate your parking pass and parking will only be a dollar. Cha-ching! read more

What comes to Theatre N is usually more esoteric and obscure than other independent film venues...which is to be commended. Not many places would pick such "daring" programming choices, and I'm pleased that Theatre N is able to continue being funded/supported, because it's a real gem for downtown Wilmington. They have excellent events too, like silent film screenings with the film music played by a live band, etc. I'm a jerk though, so I'm going to call them out on their audio/visual problems...which happen often enough to be an issue. I've complained about the dirtiness of the screen before; sometimes the sound will be problematic through the beginning of a film, etc etc. But these problems don't keep me away from great films that I wouldn't otherwise see, and they shouldn't keep you either. read more

This is a place that not enough people know about. The main reason is probably it's location. We bought tickets through Groupon and used my phone's GPS to find the place. We kept circling an office building, thinking my GPS was wrong. Finally we just went in and the security guard was kind enough to tell us that we were in the correct place, and the theater is in an office building. This was by no means a bad thing, just really unexpected. This is a really nice deal if they are showing something you want to see. Tickets are cheap. Concessions are cheap. Beer is cheap. That's right, you can get a beer here. This is a place to go if you like movies. They aren't going to be the blockbusters, but they will have movies that you normally probably couldn't see on a screen in Delaware. It's nice having this close by and saving me a trip to the Ritz in Philly. read more

My husband and I have only most positive reviews of this great art house of a theatre --- while we were living in Dover Delaware for over eleven years. We came here all the time. Theatre N (Nemours) showed all kinds of classy films. I am quite impressed that it will be showing "Colette" --- with Keira Knightley, this weekend --- while recently, we scrammed so much to find any theatre in the DC vicinities that showed this film at all. I would not be surprised that a film such as "Love and Friendship" --- with Kate Beckinsale, had already been shown here in the recent past. Theatre N caters to exceptional films --that are NOT necessarily or typically "actions packed" at all --- with hardly any decent dialogues --- [and when there is a rare dialogue, it sadly tends to be toward profanity just to please the "macho" crowd. One definitely will not find something like Crazy or Filthy Rich ethnic group kinds of films here.] We are considering returning to this area for our retirement years. And the thought of having this theatre Nemours nearby for us to attend ---is definitely a great comfort... read more

Was a pain to find free parking. The theater was nice. Beer while watching a movie? Yes please. To be honest I don't drink and just wanted to sound corny but I do think it's pretty cool you could enjoy a beer and a movie. The movie we saw (Noma : My perfect storm) was really entertaining but not a lot of people came. 5 total. The only thing was, the three ladies that came sat right behind us in an entirely empty theater. Talking, moaning at the food, laughing loudly and talking to the screen about what things they wouldn't eat. Major buzzkill but we still enjoyed ourselves. A mere 8 people attended today's Sunday matinee; at $8 a ticket, that's a whopping $64 in ticket sales. Thus, my obligatory "I hope this place doesn't get shut down due to lack of business" positive Yelp review. Per previous reviews it appears this place is funded by Nemours, and staffed by volunteers, so hopefully there's no danger of that happening. I can't comment on current concession prices, I didn't purchase any (so much for supporting a possibly struggling operation). The theatre is small, but comfortable and very accessible. Today's feature was an *awesome* indie documentary on musician Fela Kuti. Theatre N mainly screens independent movies, but also sometimes show live political & sporting events. Theatre N is a gem for many reasons...current independent films playing in Wilmington! and it's LASTED! So glad it's still here for more and more people to discover and enjoy. Full disclosure, my wife and I volunteered for several years helping the theatre as a projectionist and cashier. As a result we enjoyed dozens of amazing independent films, events, and festivals at Theatre N. Even if you don't have a passion for independent film it is hard not to love the cheap ticket prices, dollar snacks, cheap beer/wine, validated parking, and friendly staff. What a great theatre venue -- spacious, clean, and comfortable. They have an informal concession stand that includes alcoholic beverages, candy and popcorn. Street parking is free on Sundays. This venue will definitely be on my favorites list for date night. read more

Love, love, love Theatre N! Very reasonable prices for movie tickets and snacks. A bottle of Dasani water is $1....versus $5 or $6 at the regular theater. They also have beer and wine if you feel inclined to have a drink. The patrons are generally 50+ years old and I find it odd that more young people don't visit Theatre N. They get a wide range of obscure indie movies - something for everyone. It is such a pleasant surprise to find a place like this in Wilmington. We were visiting Wilmington DE and saw that Theatre N was playing the documentary on Pope Francis. We loved the theater and the size of the venue. We were able to get a parking spot right outside the front door but it felt very safe at night. Will go again when in town!! read more

TheatreN is a little known gem in the heart of Wilmington. The selection of Indie movies at the theatre cannot be found elsewhere in the area. The prices are more than reasonable. There is not one bad seat in the house as the theatre is small and cozy, but it's not small in the crowded way that cinemas which have been cut into 16 theatres are small. When I moved to the Wilmington area in 2010, someone turned me onto TheatreN, and it's the best find I've made in this City ever since! read more
