    "Hi, Mom!"

Deep sounds and beautiful surroundings. The flowers leading to this patio are picture perfect. My mother loves wind chimes so my sister and I decided it would be better if we stop instead of her ever finding out we passed it up and made her miss out on photos of us chiming it. Lol We tried come cookies from inside and they were absolutely delicious.

World's largest wind chime located in Casey Illinois. it has a rope on it so you can go pull on it and make it chime when it's calm outside. Another must see in Casey Illinois.

This is such a weird thing (World's Largest stuff) for a small Illinois town to be famous for. But it's actually pretty fun to walk around the little downtown and check out all the attractions. The rocking chair is one of the more impressive items. You can tell the city is quite proud of it as the grounds are immaculate.

Located directly across the street from the World's Largest Rocking Chair resides the WL's Wind Chime. It's simply amazing that two things this awesome live side-by-side in a town of 2,000 people. Mind blown. The chime is interactive (you can chime it yourself) and has a beautiful sound. Don't miss it!

Going east or west on Interstate 70, take a pit stop in Casey IL. About a mile or so off the highway you'll find a small downtown with some of the worlds Largest things. Start off at the Worlds Largest WindChime. There is lots of parking in the street. Look across and you'll see the world largest rocking chair. Wishing you could sit on it, that was the only con. Both worlds largest have lots of area for selfies and photo taking. Locate the golf course less then a mile east and you'll see the worlds largest golf tee. On the other end of downtown is a big cage w swing, and a giant working mail box, but you have to go side to mail your postcard or letter. The town also had a lot of other worlds Largest items. Definitely worth the stop.

Fun roadside attraction. You can pull the rope to make them chime. So glad we saw the signs on the highway and stopped in Casey, IL. Lots of world's largest items to see.

What's better on the Great American Road Trip than taking a pit stop to see the world's largest anything? As I said to one of my friends, "I can cross something off my bucket list that I didn't even know I had on it!" If you're in Casey, or just driving down I-70 and need a stretch break, know that there is a place that meets your needs for either with the World's Largest Wind Chime. It's easy to find (exit towards the south, drive about a mile, then turn left onto Main Street, the Wind Chime will be on your right), parking is ample, and a cafe next door provides a great place to grab something to eat or drink if you need any refreshment. The chime itself looks like a huge tower, and you can "ring" it, although it sounds more like a giant gong or bell due to its size instead of the gentle tinkle I usually associate with a wind chime. It's situated in a garden with the writing "World's Largest Wind Chime" behind it, so there's no mistaking where you are when you stop for a photo op.

"World's Largest Wind Chime" ??? Seeing this sign while driving on I-70 through Illinois peaked by interest enough to stop and see what this free roadside attraction was all about. Located a short drive from the main highway in Casey, IL, this is one-and-done stop to mark-off your roadside attraction bucket list. Road signs direct your way to this Main Street attraction that does have parking directly in front of it. The Wind Chime itself is a sight to see and is interactive. If you choose, you can ring it. If you come at the right time, there is a gift shop/ cafe. Overall, it is a nice 5+ minute break to give your legs a stretch and take some pictures of this novelty attraction.

We visited Casey, IL yesterday we had a great day visiting Casey. The world's largest Wind Chimes, Rocking Chair, Golf Tee, Pitch Fork and more. I was very nice to see the people that were visiting as well. Social distancing was observed yet we were able to see all the charming items in Casey. Learning the history of Casey while walking through the town seeing the sites. Pictures added are only about half of what we saw. We are looking forward to going back and spending a day when the COVID has gone and we can go inside the shops to look around and visit the coffee shops and ice cream shop. It truly is a trip back in time that we are looking forward to.

This small town is not too small because it includes a couple block of small local shops attractions. We had fun walking and exploring for about 90-120 minutes.

Wacky Americana at its best. Found this place while driving from St. Louis to Indy. It's in Casey, IL, population 3,000. It's a whimsical little town, with a wacky and fun penchant for crafting huge sculptures.. windchime, pencil, birdcage, mailbox, and my favorite...a huge rocking chair that actually rocks. Be sure to visit the workshop too! You'll feel stupid walking around with the other gawkers, but go for it, have fun and take some pictures!

Located in downtown Casey, you will find the World's Largest Wind Chime, and yes it actually chimes. The wind chime is located in a small garden next to a gift shop, which is also home to the World's Largest Knitting Needle and a few other items claiming to be the world's largest. I didn't step into the gift shop so I cannot comment on that, but I did witness several people pull the chimes producing more of a gong than a chime. Located right across the street is the World's Largest Rocking Chair, so its easy to catch both roadside attractions in one quick stop, allowing you to stretch out your legs after a long drive. Overall this is a unique roadside attraction the helps give the small town of Casey a unique personality. I almost forgot to mention that the attraction is free, so that makes it even better!

This is a FREE attraction just about 1 mile off the highway. I love things like this, As they make long roadtrips worth the while! Even if you are in a hurry I would still say to take the 15 minutes to stop and check this out! There is plenty of parking around. I was driving a 26ft box truck and had no problem parking there. You can walk right up to it and even ring the chimes through a clever pulley system! It's the kind of thing that just makes you happy! I can't wait to come back to see the rocking chair when it's done!

Big fun! - - - - - -…read more- - September, 2024 Visit We learned of Casey, IL, several years ago in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch article sharing how Casey is home to many of the world's largest items; at the time of the article, the total was 8 items; the total is now up to 12 of the world's largest items. This year we visited for a third time and it gets better each trip! Casey is pronounced Kay-zee, and Jim Bolin grew up there and is the person responsible for starting the world's largest items; the wind chimes were first, then the golf tee, and now several items. This visit we saw: 1. World's Largest Teeter Totter 2. World's Largest Wind Chime (first item) - we rang it 3. World's Largest Barber Shop Pole 4. World's Largest Mailbox 5. World's Largest Rocking Chair We also saw some big things that are not the world's largest: 1. Ruler 2. Pencil 3. Knitting Needles 4. Nails Twisted Around Each Other Puzzle 5. Antlers At the world's largest mailbox, we were happy to see that the ice cream shop was still open, and we all enjoyed two scoops: - Salted Caramel and Superman - Salted Caramel and Mint chocolate Chip - Salted Caramel, 2 - Zanzibar Dark Chocolate and Strawberry Very good! We saw the poem "God Made a Farmer" and listened to the Paul Harvey rendition of that important poem, on YouTube as we drove through town. Thank you to the Bolin family and all at Casey's Big Things in a Small Town Workshop who make these wonderful things for us all; the entire town makes you smile, and the world needs more smiles! ----- ----- -----
