There's a great selection of tasty burgers on the menu, and they have a large selection of ales that are constantly changing. There's a lot of space, and when the weather is nice, a reasonable amount of space outside. There are also a stack of board games, but not all the pieces are always there, so it can making playing them a bit difficult. It's just one of those old style English pubs that is enjoyable to hang out with for the day and drink some ales. I can highly recommend them!

The left hand bar is for regulars - I liked it as I used to work in there, and was also a regular - some people thought it was quite unfriendly if you weren't known. The right hand side was known as the other bar. Don't let this put you off - it's only banter! Beer is fullers plus loads of guest beers, regularly rotated. I felt like I was back in America! (I do realise that no refills are much healthier than drinking gallons of Coke in one sitting, but it's nice every once in awhile!) They also have a fun drink menu, including ice cream drinks which I'm always a sucker for. It has some big round tables in this area that can seat 6-8 people, ideal for having a chat and a drink with friends, it also has some soft sofas for lounging around on.
