I have a 29" by 24" impact window that has a crack in it. I called to see if perhaps they could…read morehave someone come out to take a look and replace it. The woman, I think Tara who answered the phone started asking questions about how old the windows were. (I knew where this was going) Immediately she went into a sales pitch about replacing all of my windows and throwing in an obviously rehearsed sales pitch. When I told her I didn't have the money to replace all of my windows now, she said, well I have to tell you we are booking out to 8 weeks. That's the same as getting a ridiculously high quote for a job a contractor doesn't want to do. I guarantee you if I wanted all of my windows replaced, I would not have an 8 week wait. If you're looking to replace all of your windows and doors, perhaps this is a good option for you but clearly they could not be bothered with a "small job" like mine when there's bigger fish to fry. So when it's time to replace my windows, and that day is coming, because they didn't want to help me now, I won't go to them for the big job.

The installation team, led by Justin Poe were amazing. Great, friendly guys and very detail oriented. They went above and beyond my expectations. I used a different company for windows and doors at my previous house and while I didn't have any complains, GLC was worlds apart. Highly recommended. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

I have interviewed a handful of them and this company stood out for: - COMPETITIVE PRICING: Cheapest among other companies with the same product and installation. - TRANSPARENCY: Details description of each door or window including pictures, dimensions and PRICE in the quote. - PUNCTUALITY: My windows and doors were installed 6 weeks BEFORE estimated time. A big WOW. These are people who took care of my replacement hurricane windows and doors from A-Z: - CODY with Quote : Arrived on time, transparency, no gimmicks, reasonable price, provided company information such as business license, workmanship liability, product warranties... - GREG and JUSTIN, the installers are awesome, they are professional, polite and friendly. They showed up on time and worked hard. The windows and doors look awesome. Greg even installed a peep hole on my entry door for FREE. They covered all furniture, working area and cleaned up spotlessly every day before they left. These two are assets to the company. - Good communication from Ginger, General Manager, Allen Hilton, sales manager to Joy, Mandy... the office's ladies and gentleman kept me informed through out the project. - They are in charge of paperwork to provide for MSFH to make sure that I get the reimbursement. - RYAN, the "Final Punch Out" and Quality Control person who is in charged of the final stage of the windows and doors replacements inspected and covered all nails holes, removed all stickers and make sure all doors and windows worked properly. -My hurricane windows and doors project went smoothly without a snag and got lot of compliments from my neighbors and friends. - A BIG thank you to everyone who is in charged of my project and I won't hesitate to refer this company to my relatives, friends and to everyone. -Absolute Window is a company that do what they say and say what they will do. Only 3 ever sent estimates. Absolute sent 3 different estimates with 3 different manufacturer options. And every one of those options was VERY competitively priced! They also made it clear we could piecemeal the work (just do doors first, then windows... or just a couple windows at first, etc). They were VERY accomodating and willing to work within any financial issue that may have been cause for concern. In the end we went with all 16 windows, a 3-panel slider, a French door, and a slider being converted to French doors being replaced with hurricane glass/windows. My windows had a bit of a catch that made the contracting a bit more problematic but they rolled with it. The office staff was amazing at every step. "Responsive" doesnt even begin to cover it. When the work finally got started, we had a slider being converted to French door, and a previously installed French door that was done improperly. They knocked out the windows within a week. When they realized the installer had issues with the French doors, they sent another team out to help. They showed up at least 3 times to fix the issues from previous contractors (not from Absolute!) shoddy work and did not leave until the work was done right. They realized THEY made a slight mistake on one French door and didnt cut corners!! They removed and replaced both doors so the job was done right!! I don't recall all their names but definitely Ginger, Joyce, Shawna, Greg, and his partner as well as the other 2 from "Crew #2" that came out for the doors.. all deserve a raise for the stuff they dealt with in regards to my particular doors and windows. Ginger would have to be top of that list. She was ALWAYS communicating. I have dealt with a lot of contractors here in SWFL and can say I have NEVER come across a company that seems to treat every portion of the process, from sales to install, as if the house being worked on was their own. They were amazing and made the whole process way less stressful than it could have been. THANK YOU.

Doors have a gap you can see outside light. Called the office spoke to Anne and she scheduled me for someone to come by and asses. We were ONLY not able to pursue legal recourse for this matter because we were outside of the time…read moreframe allowed. As mentioned in your own lawyer letter above, "even if Mr. REMOVEDclaims had merit, they would be time-barred under F.S. 95.11.". Our attorney did disclose that was the case in this particular matter, we were outside of the legal time frame to pursue anything further. Unfortunate for us, fortunate for your company. We will continue to drag your poor workmanship company everywhere I can to share my experience to as many others I can reach to stay away from your company. My own inspections found the following with the windows: "Comments: 1.0 (1) VIDEO 1: Window #1 located in the front bedroom. In the videos and in the pictures of this segment you can see there is up to 1/2" of movement to this window. Research finds that industry standards do recognize an acceptable amount of play -- however I am not willing to accept this much play. In my experience a window with this much play was considered in need of repair or replacement. Also found 4 other same sliding windows and none of them have any play in them. They lock in place tight as a user would expect them to with 0 play in them. VIDEO 2 & PICS 3,4 : Window #2 located at the back of the home in the space to the right of the kitchen. The video is difficult but the glimmer in the shot is the water seeping out as the frame of the window is jiggled and pushed on. Water should not be sitting in the window enclosure for any extended period of time and it has been well over 24 hrs since the last rain here. PIC 3: It is this inspectors observation that additional weep holes would be in order to eliminate the lingering water. It has been my observation that larger windows generally have more abundant # of weep holes than the window shown in the picture. Maybe this window is a design flaw? or simple manufacturing flaw? however it does appear to function properly" Also, after hurricane Ian, we completed a full drywall cutout, replaced the insulation in the walls after drying out and putting up new wall board/texture and fresh paint with the interior remodel. Another review left by another customer stated their windows installed by Home Install Services also failed and caused water to come into their home and damage their home as well. After this remodel, we still saw issues listed above with the windows. I took it upon myself to cut the wall under the large dining room window open and the window company hired an inspection company who completed a mold inspection for air and a swab sample. The swab sample came back "unusual" with 5 typed of mold present on the swab sample. The "Unusual" is compared to "normal" or "unelevated" compared to other air samples taken. This company cuts every corner they can, and wont take accountability for issues they caused either. They are lucky they were outside of the timeframe for me to continue to sue them and take it to court because I absolutely would have if I could have. Buyer beware.Your first statement is incorrect. The manufacturer recommended to follow local building code recommendations for flashing, which at that time, the FL building code did recommended following the manufacturer flashing recommendations as well, which you failed to mention, nor offer. So you saying you followed manufacturer recommendations is a lie and inaccurate.
