The prices seem very reasonable to me, sometimes you can get 10 red roses for $10! The service is fantastic, everyone that works there has a vast knowledge of flowers and they are always willing to help with any questions you may have. I went in on Valentine's day, and even though they looked super busy, things were running like clockwork, all the customers in-store were being served, as well as ones on the phone and others that had pre-ordered, I was very very impressed!

Why is it for me all my favourite florists are the ones run by Korean's. I can name 3 Korean owned in Auckland that I have used at one time or another more often than any others over the past years. I won't name the other two as I am writing this review about this one , not any other. And I have had the need to use this one very very recently. Unfortunately though I use this one when I have to go buy flowers for someone at work , never for personal reasons, though I have used the other two for that. I will go here instead of my works preferred florist up the road in Remuera ( i am a bad employee , not following company protocols! )as this one over the time I have used it has produced great bouquets , all flowers are good quality, given excellent service and the owner is super friendly and even will greet you by your name when she remembers it. And the price is not too bad either. One day I will go here to buy flowers for my own reasons not for others....I am sure my wife will appreciate that greatly!!

I'm just going to put it out there - I LOVE Florists. For starters, who doesn't love being…read moresurprised with a big bunch of fresh flowers! Noone, that who. Whether is a birthday, anniversary or just to tell someone that you're thinking of them, they are perfect for every occasion. On top of this fresh flowers do wonders in a room. I genuinely find I am happier when i've got a bunch in a vase. Ok, so now that I have voiced my love of flowers, let's talk about Roses specifically. Roses is as good as a local florist gets. Firstly, their staff are super knowledgable, helpful and they listen to what you want. Secondly, they always have a gorgeous range of flowers and a couple of unique plants. And thirdly, their card range is legit! On my most recent visit I also discovered that they have those washable paper bag/pot type things, you know the ones that you see in all the trendy cafes these days. I got a white one with big black crosses and have put a large orchid in it - looks wonderful! Unfortunately, Roses is a bit of a trek for me but if you live in the area and are looking for a florist this should mos def be your no. 1 port of call.

Everything was running smoothly until it hit me that I hadn't ordered any flowers for the winners. All I had done was write budget that included 3 bouquets of flowers for $50. With the amount I was willing to spend, I wasn't expecting anything amazing. I ended up calling Roses on Friday afternoon to arrange 3 bouquets to be picked up on Saturday at 2pm. I told the florist to surprise me and just give me what they could. On saturday, the day of the pageant I got so overwhelmed I forgot to pick up the flowers. Thankfully I got a call and when I explained I wouldn't make it to the florist before it closed, the florist offered to leave the flowers at the shop next door to be picked up and I could leave the money there. When the flowers finally arrived to the venue, they where so beautiful and I could not believe I had only spent $50.

Gifts Galore is crammed with fun and one of those shops where you don't know where to look first…read more There's everything in here from soft toys of all sizes (even those excellent giant Hello Kittys that I'm really not allowed to buy because it's silly), to stationery, hair accessories, socks, mugs, posters, and make up. And everything has that awesome Korean twist to it, so if you need stickers of your favourite K-pop artists, here's where you head. The staff don't speak heaps of English but they are really sweet and approachable, and I'm sure their Korean is top-notch! When I had trouble figuring out if the alarm clock I bought there would play music or not (I really can't stand that end-of-the-world beep beep beep of doom), they unpacked the clock, put batteries in, and demonstrated it for me. Now that's good service.

Gifts Galore has just that, a lot of gifts, packed from wall to wall with cuteness. There are two sides to the store, one mostly stuffed toys and the other is stationary. The fun doesn't stop there, umbrellas, earphones, bento sets and flasks, absolutely everything. Gifts Galore also boast an impressive range of scented pens. If you haven't written with ink that smells of oranges, you're missing out. Such a fun shop, great for the young and young at heart.
