There is an automatic coffee machine that you can order various types of coffee, espresso, mocha, and cappuccino. But the wait staff is pleasant and there is a cozy fireplace to sit around. Great place to go for a cheap drink and meal. Located in the centre of town it's a convenient place to go if you're doing anything else in the area that evening - movie, shopping, etc. Right next to the Luton cinema. They have good meal deals throughout the week - curry night, fish and chips, burgers, etc. Food is always decent and very well priced. For a quieter meal there is the upstairs portion which also has a large selection of reading books! Also has free wireless with purchase. It gets quite loud and busy on Friday and Saturday evenings. read more

Great venue, great value. For a large town centre pub this one has got it covered in all areas. In the day it's great for a few relaxing pints and a spot of lunch and in the evenings it buzzing. We popped in a couple of days ago as we had a bit of business to do in town and I fancied a pint. To my surprise they actually had a decent selection of lager and ales so I chose the latter just for a change. It was not a bad pint but had a bit of an aftertaste - it did take us a while to get served as they simply did not have enough staff on for the busy lunchtime period. Once we settled down we decided that we may as well have a look at the menu - great value! I decided to have a burger and chips for just £3.99 including a pint of Tuborg lager! You can't really beat that can you? The pub itself is pretty big and has a nice decor, like a comfortable library in one side and a more open area on the other side. An open fire in the centre was a nice touch! I must say I had a very pleasant couple of hours here and will be doing it again soon. read more

Sitting here in the whitehouse now and so sick of the crappy service...they act like you have asked for their back teeth when you ask for ice. .the bottled beers are warm....the chips are rank....asked for the ploughmans sandwhich...it arrived with no cheese...they looked at me like I was crazy when I complained......everything is way to much trouble for this lot....london hatters is 5 mins walk....much much better!! read more

They serve the 2nd best Sunday Roast in Luton. The waffle dessert is a must. This is a good place to grab a pint and just hang out as well. You place your order at the bar and tell them what table you're sitting at. They bring the food to you afterward. read more

Low prices on just about everything they sell much lower than normal pub prices and they do meal deals throughout the week so you can get a cheap curry or fish and chips. They also offer free wireless internet with any purchase, so if you want to, you can get a coffee and surf the web for as long as you like, and the coffee only costs 99p what a bargain! right in the central of town, cheap drinks and they good pub food in the day. they sometimes have special dinner nights through out the week and a comedy club on sunday. Friday and Saturday night is always heaving, and it take about 20 minutes to buy a drink. but all in all a good local. read more
