Smaller club room on the top 16th floor, great views
Marco N.

Had no problems here, clean rooms and club room access on the 16th floor. In the rather small Club room on 16th floor, water and sodas, snacks are available until 10pm. Free hotel parking is a tad far from the main entrance on either side of the building. The area to right does have conference rooms and you can enter from the parking lot if unlocked. Adjacent restaurant in the building with bar. Perhaps a little high prices for convenience. Lots of options nearby and down Milwaukee Ave. Hotel is showing its age. They have updated the baths with rain showers at a decent height which is nice.

We absolutely loved this hotel! We were in town for two nights and this was close to many restaurants and bars. They have a Starbucks in the lobby and there's another one in the parking lot! It's a huge event hotel, huge lobby and lots of parking. There is a restaurant on site and at least four more in the parking lot or across the street. Our room was huge, very clean and the bedding was premium! Lots of nice amenities such as starbucks in the room, nice lotions and even a lavender roller for bedtime! We had a refrigerator in the room as well. No issues here, would highly recommend!

Arrived early and when I checked in via the app, I selected an earlier check-in time and thankfully the room was ready before the selected check-in time. This was nice because I needed to drop off my stuff before head back out. The doors near to the parking lot is all locked expect one and that one is hard to open from outside as I've learned later on. You need to use all your strength to pull it open. The staff member was welcoming and answered all my questions that I had, went up to my room. The room was decent, expected bit more with "Westin" title, but it'll do. Maybe it's time for some major renovations :) They have Starbucks at the lobby, but it's not affiliated with Starbucks. It's locally ran by the hotel staff and they do not take Starbucks App. If you want to use your app to get the points or use your card to pay, then walk about 3 to 5 minutes to brand new Starbucks around the corner. The room itself was spacious and open. It did have a mini-fridge, but no microwave. Bed was firm, just the way I liked it. Decent one night stay, however could only give three stars on this first visit.

There are great things about the hotel. The absolute best thing is the enormous shower. The next thing is the windows. They were huge and I really loved that. The rooms itself had outdated and scratched furniture and I wasn't impressed by the size either. At the very least I expected hotel staff to be friendly and accommodating. I just wasn't impressed overall but I was glad to at least say I tried it.

We highly recommend The Westin Chicago North Shore if you're looking for a hotel block to accommodate your wedding guests. The staff at The Westin Chicago North Shore deserve the highest praise for how valuable they were in making our wedding weekend as smooth as possible for us and our guests. Veronica Colpaert, the Social Sales Manager, coordinated a wedding block for our guests to book leading up to the wedding and facilitated delivering the gift bags that we had made for our guests. She was always friendly and prompt in her communication. In one particular situation, Gorges Dawood, the Director of Front Office, really saved us. There was a miscalculation on our part which led to us being short one room for our parents. He calmly double-checked all the records and found another room for us on the spot and gave us the same discounted rate as our current block. On the day before the wedding, the last thing we needed was more stress, and thankfully we had Gorges and the rest of the hotel staff who made everything great for us and our wedding guests. Our wedding was located at Chevy Chase Country Club, from which The Westin Chicago North Shore is conveniently located down the street. That significantly reduced travel time for us and our bridal party as we had a jam-packed day. It also significantly reduced travel time for our family and friends, many of whom travelled out of state to attend the wedding. Our wedding guests enjoyed the nice and clean hotel rooms at The Westin Chicago North Shore as well as the multiple dining options available within walking distance. Thank you, The Westin Chicago North Shore, for being an amazing hotel for us and our guests.

Could have been cleaner. Had stained sheets on bed. Starbucks in hotel was watered down. The breakfast is overpriced. Quiet though.

And huge portion too. My parents loved their entrees as well. See pics. My pancakes with chocolate chips were also delicious! I ordered hot tea and they brought an amazing organic tea bag, was not expecting organic tea, but super impressed! Our server was so warm and inviting, polite and kind. Service in general from everyone was great. Love the modern interior and holiday decor on my visit. Love that they have large rooms that are separated for sound control. Plenty of parking. When I went up to put my name on the list, the man writing names down was extremely rude to me and my family. The man at the front also made multiple microaggressive comments toward us, which made the experience uncomfortable from the start. The food, in my opinion, was also subpar. I ordered two eggs with bacon, potatoes, and pancakes. The eggs and potatoes were good, but the pancakes tasted strange, and the bacon tasted old and honestly pretty disgusting. My sister ordered the "Factory French Toast," and she said it literally tasted like something that came straight from a factory. My mom ordered the meat omelet and said it was just okay. When it was time to pay, we asked for the check to be split three ways. When we received the bill, we noticed they had charged us an additional fee just for splitting it. On top of that, while we were waiting in line to pay, the employee clearly saw us standing there, yet allowed another man to cut in front of us. There was also a confusing moment when my sister accidentally dropped a few things, including her card and my mom's card. Someone at the front helped pick them up, but then tried to pay using whichever card he had in his hand with a random receipt. My sister had to politely correct him. Overall, the service felt disorganized and disrespectful, and the food did not make up for it. Unfortunately, this was a really disappointing experience for my family.

If you are looking for a venue for your event, STOP RIGHT NOW - YOUR SEARCH IS OVER! In September…read more2017, Loft21 hosted our wedding reception and it was absolutely incredible! The newly-renovated space incorporates every detail you could imagine into your event. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're in a million dollar party. They can change the lighting to fit your theme, the audio/video system is out of this world, and the range of options through HYPE productions (incl. photo booth, dj/mc, music etc.) completely ices the cake for a perfect evening. It's hard to start describing how Loft21 is such a perfect venue, so let's start with the people. JuneElise, Loft21's event manager, is EXTREMELY helpful in guiding you along the way to a seamless event...she will answer any question you have, and deliver professional results quickly and efficiently...we did not sense this level of customer support at any other venue we shopped. Her attitude is great and you won't be disappointed. Secondly, the HYPE staff is incredibly entertaining, and our dance floor did not stop until the lights went on...they hit every corner of the music we requested and the MC, Adam, kept the party moving like a Mac truck... it was awesome, and we still get complements to this day. Jazmine, the owner, was quite involved with our planning as well, as she owns both HYPE and Loft21...so if you use both, you enjoy a discount and she was very clear on how the combined package saved us tons of cash. I could go on...so why don't I? The atmosphere is so unique and stimulating... the bars are uber-modern with an industrial feel, the staff is incredibly well trained and friendly, the globo with your event logo shines on the wall, the preferred caterer they recommended was perfect (Marcellos!), the audio video incorporation is super cool, and we wished the night never ended!! I'd say, with all the competition we shopped for our wedding, Loft21 provided the most competitive pricing for a 350 person event that we could find - they offered everything we wanted (and more), and you will be doing yourself a favor by calling them today before their calendar fills up. If you talk to JuneElise, and you have any doubts about booking with them, you have my permission to ask her for my contact info for a referral. You simply can't go wrong! Tim G.

Miraculously no one was hit by it or cut by the glass. Given it probably weighed over 50 pounds, it would've probably killed somebody if they were in it's path. What did management do? Looked at the ceiling for 15 minutes and then let everyone go back to dancing under the other 6 lights possibly (un)secured by the same individual..... poorly handled. Our family stayed out of that area completely for the evening. That pretty much overshadowed our memories of the event.....

The entrance is a great spacious area with variety of comfy seats and spaces to place pictures to honor loved ones and showcase the couples travels and love story. We made it to the bar and noticed the cute signature drink signage. The margarita was delish! There were a lot of folks crowding the bar for cocktail hour and the two bartenders were busting their chops to serve all guests..couldn't help but noticed they could of used a third person to ease the load. Making our way to the next part of the room, there were cocktail tables, a photo booth, and sign-in/gifts table. After awhile the staff removed some dividers to reveal a spacious area for the tables and guests with the sweetheart table center and ample room for dancing. The evening flowed with speeches, plated dinners, dances, and a champagne toast. The salad sat on a cheese bowl with boats of dressing to pass around, the entrees had tasty veggies and creamy potatoes. My fiancés salmon tasted better than the chewy filet mignon. As soon as the dancing started, the staff would whisk away plates and bottles of wine to which our table requested the bottles be left behind due them still being consumed / half full. The bar was still flowing and later in the evening there were some midnight snacks. Bathrooms had plenty of stalls and were clean. The overall time we had went by too quickly! Enjoyed our evening!!

However, I've been to more bar mitzvah celebrations there than I can count...and if you're looking for a venue that can do a turnkey mitzvah this is it. When looking for my own celebrations I looked elsewhere because I prefer a venue that's a little different, but Ravinia Green has the process down and makes it easy for those planning. Cocktail hour: I've been to cocktail hours in the restaurant, another room within the club and outside. I will say outside is the way to go if the weather cooperates, but unfortunately the weather is unlikely to cooperate in Chicago. Main space: It's a spacious room that's perfect for about 200 (an estimate) people. It's always the same set up with the stage straight ahead, bar in the back, photo booth to the far right and food stations towards the back and to the left. Tables are set up throughout the room with the kids typically being closer to the dance floor. It's a nice space that's easy to make beautiful with the right decor company. Food: I find the food to be fair here, but that's typically the case when it comes to serving food to the masses. I've been to parties where they can take quite a long time to service everyone from the stations so I recommend having 2-3 stations that aren't right next to each other to keep the lines down. I've found their Mexican and gyro stations to be the best. Dessert: This is what they do best so if you are at an event save room for lots of delicious desserts. I usually find apps and desserts (and skipping the entree) is the way to go at most events I attend and i know if i'm going to to ravinia green that the desserts will be extra tasty. Cost: I've never seen a proposal, but I'm sure planning an event is pricey, but i have heard it's more reasonable than many other local venues. We've been to so many events here that my family often says "again?" when i announce we are going to Ravinia Green, but there's something to be said for consistency and they consistently do a good job with them.
