We go to spas quite frequently and I don't feel like arriving 30 minutes early is out of the ordinary. He was under the impression there was a sauna available to use as well. We entered the waiting area and sat quietly when the owner popped her head out and asked if she could help us. My husband responded with "we are here for a 1pm couples massage" to which she responded "no you're not." My husband proceeded to pull up his confirmations which he received at time of booking/leading up to date of service. She said "oh I won't be ready for you until at least 1:15pm". We said okay and waited outside on the porch. We went back in at 115 and started our massages at around 130 after changing. No robes or anything were offered. We had booked a 90 minute so expected to finish around 3 pm due to our late start. When they left the room after finishing we checked the time it was just before 240. He also had prepaid the services and when we finished was asked for payment. We were not offered a choice of Swedish or deep tissue and massage for both of us felt more like a back rub. Very unsatisfying. My husband was so disappointed and apologetic after the fact. At no point did the owner even offer us an apology let alone some sort of compensation.

UPDATE: they apparently still charged my account the full price of the services that I requested, despite saying that nothing went through. Despite saying that I only left the card in file, but they would never charge me before the services were rendered...stay far away from this place. Unable to provide the services, but they also don't want to give me my money back. They're trying to scam me out of my money. I am disputing these charges.

The staff helped me figure out what services would be best for me. There are loads to choose from. I settled on a float and using BrainTap. (I love to meditate so I thought this one would be fun to try.) Both services were just what I needed! The float helped relieve the tension in my shoulders (from stress and working at a desk all day) and gave me the sort of deep quiet you only get from being truly unplugged. BrainTap felt like I dialed my normal meditation up a notch. I love that it engages both hemispheres of the brain. So cool! I definitely feel more relaxed and plan to go back again. I'm in a season of my life where I need to commit more to myself but I find that hard to do regularly. Imagine Float made it really easy to prioritize myself and I know I need more of that in my life. I've already booked me next float. :) The facilities are clean, quiet, and relaxing. I never felt like I was being rushed to the services or to get out after. The staff offered me a tea menu after and let me sit in the quiet room to hang out for a bit. That extra bit of decompression and transition time was really nice. I so often feel like I am running from one thing to the next and this just stresses me out. I was worried that this wouldn't be relaxing, or it would even hurt. Let me first say that they put you in a sauna for as long as you can stand, and then a wet sauna. Next you go into the room face up, and the scrubbing starts. Well, it is not as relaxing as a massage, by any means There is much satisfaction in the results. I left with glowy soft skin feeling wonderful! The spa offers an option where you can purchase a membership and the services are cheaper. I will definitely become a frequent flyer!
