What an AMAZING church! The love of God is SO powerful here!…read more A friend of mine had been trying to get me to come to their Friday night, young adults Bible studies for months. It's called Soldiers of the Son, or S.O.S. For short. I finally caved in and absolutely loved it! I was overwhelmed with people welcoming me, hugging me, introducing themselves to me, and asking all sorts of questions about me. I had literally never been to a church where people cared so much about new people. I felt seen and very much loved, even though I barely met these people. Fast forward two months, I've attended some of their Sunday services, and even participated in their 35th anniversary celebration services. The Friday worship night was off the hook! It's not often you get to just come to church and just sing your heart out to God! The whole church community at Living Bread has been such a blessing to my life, and I'm sure to the lives of so many others. It's such a healthy, wholesome, and spirit-filled ministry! I hope and pray they continue to fervently serve & follow the Lord!

We suffered through the service and left when it was almost over. So sad. We did mention it to someone and they had adjusted it. Then 10 minutes later it got cold again. The singing, songs, and preaching were totally awesome. Everyone is nice and friendly. Very good worship service. However we can't return because of the cold. Maybe someone from the church will read this and turn up the temperature. We would be grateful and return. Many blessings for this dear church.

This congregation is very welcoming, open and wear their faith on their sleeve. My children grew up in this church. What I like most about our church like all Disciples of Christ is that we have an open communion table - we believe that the Lord invites everyone to communion. It is not up to the church to decide, it is up to the individual to decide whether or not to partake. The second thing I like most is that we are not told what or how to believe. We all don't have the same theology, but we worship and fellowship together in love recognizing our differences and still loving each other. We have a strong Women's program, we have groups for our children. Children don't go to Sunday School they go to Bible Explorers and they explore the Bible through storytelling, cooking, science, drama, media, games and art. We have a special children's worship program from Kindergarten to Second grade and 3rd grade to middle school. We have two services on Sunday 8:30am contemporary worship with a Praise Team and 10:30am a traditional service with music from our Chancel Choir. I believe you can find a home here. However the Sunday evening service wasn't the normal worship service done on Sunday mornings. We figured this out when the pastor Glen was basically engaging attendees in conversation. For instance let's give our testimony or conversation on growing in God. We felt a little uncomfortable since we had thought this service would be a worship and sermon service typical of Sunday mornings.i am sure it was ok for people who were regular attendees but we didn't really know anyone there. My advice is first timers should probably go to Sunday morning service for a few months or longer to you get to know people then go to this one. Another thing that wasn't good was the extreme heat when we sat down. The sanctuary should have been cooled down before the service started. As a individual with health issues I would not want this to keep happening if i was attending . This is something that is unknown. Otherwise it's a blessed group of believers growing in Gods word.
