OMG, the backyard was small and cluttered but filled with so many cool and funky pieces of artwork. Every nook and corner had something for you to enjoy, smile, laugh and of course snap pictures. My husband and I signed up for Allie's printmaking workshop and had a blast in her beautiful studio right on the Hudson river. Allie started with explaining some of the history of printmaking and gave us creative instruction, before giving us plenty of time to be creative and play with the paints. During holiday they have cider and cookies ( nothing special). Start with some info before the 7 min video. It's bad quality but what do u expect from 1986?!? They have the old house floor plans and pictures of the family tree. The main house is amazing but access/tour is only the first floor. People seem to complain but honestly it's a small preservation organization that are doing their best to restore and have mainly volunteers working. The grounds are lovely. Spring looks better. And was told every two years has some artist sculpture event. Winter has xmas decorations.
