They were nice at first and seemingly helpful, though it felt like very pushy salesmanship with bad flavor. Later, Nicholas was extremely rude and unprofessional when we decided to move forward with a different property not managed by them. Owners, do not use them, they removed the listing before we confirmed we wanted to rent the property; we did send in an application, though of course we sent in applications with multiple properties, as you do when considering searching for a home where you want to feel safe and comfortable with your family. We never made any obligation to rent, and never made a deposit. A listing should not be removed until a lease is signed and a deposit made; this should be normal operations for any respected property manager. Nicholas proceeded to tell us we didn't keep our word about renting the property, which is absurd since we never said we were moving forward after the application, not to mention he never communicated whether we were approved or not. His communication after the initial salesmanship was terrible. He challenged our integrity, which was very unprofessional, and also his claim was false. He proceeded to act as any rude salesman from there on out. There are plenty of great salesman out there whom I respect, but he acted like a disgruntled child when we told him no. Stay away from PMI Chevy Chase and Nicholas Lazarchick and choose a different company.

He was very helpful, friendly, and great at walking us through the paperwork and answering any questions we had. They had our paperwork scanned and sent to us very promptly. Their website and blog offer lots of great pieces of advice and information on different aspects of real estate closings and title insurance - a great resource to check out. 1 Star - Avoid at All Costs…read more I've been a real estate agent for over 30 years, and I've never experienced anything as blatantly unprofessional as what I encountered with Counselors Title, LLC. In a recent transaction where I represented the seller, the buyer never submitted their earnest money deposit. Over and over, we asked the title company to confirm receipt -- a basic responsibility -- and Counselors Title repeatedly ignored us. Not only were they unresponsive, they effectively helped the buyer's agent hide the fact that the deposit was never made. While my client bent over backward to accommodate the buyer's numerous contract changes, the title company sat silent, knowing the buyer hadn't followed through on a fundamental obligation. Their refusal to communicate or act transparently was completely unethical. This is not just bad service -- it's a serious breach of professional integrity. I would never recommend Counselors Title to any buyer, seller, or fellow agent. There are plenty of competent, honest title companies out there. This is not one of them.
