This place amazing, I'm not accustomed to going to laundry mats. I'm thankful to have my home machine. But I go to freshen all my quilts, blankets and oversized bed spreads. Today I was totally educated on machines, soaps, and dryers. The attendant Becka is incredibly helpful, providing all the assistance I needed to get the most out of my Saturday at the Washboard Laundry Mat. Not a great place honestly. Most machines are broken or saved for dropped off service. The woman who is the attendant was not happy for whatever reason. The machine jammed & she was very upset that she had to get up to fix it. I would highly suggest another laundry. read more

We appreciate that this laundromat seems to try their best to stay on top of repairs and making sure their machines are in working order. There are always a few that are out of service. The attendants are mostly kind. There is one attendant (Krissy?) who is incredibly rude to us every time we're there. If we ask for assistance with a machine/to purchase detergent etc, she seems highly irritated and annoyed that she has to do her job. In addition, with their limited machines, she has also forced us to use another smaller machine because she needed to do a "same day" wash for another customer- and she basically told us we couldn't use the machine we'd been waiting on. She said to us "believe me, they're paying for it"....we are ALSO paying for our laundry and we should have been allowed first come first serve rights to that machine. She always makes us feel unwelcome and as if we are a burden. This is unfortunate since we live right down the street and appreciate the convenience of the Washboard being close by. I truly dread doing my laundry the days she is there, lol. Positive customer service goes a long way! read more

Traveling about by RV, we are always looking for a clean, friendly, helpful laundromat. This place gets five stars on all accounts. The staff was very helpful, and advised us on which machines to use and how to manage the machine settings. The place was very clean and tidy. I did my laundry here because of the good reviews, and I was not disappointed at all. A staff member greeted me at the door, made me feel very welcome, and even helped me sew a button back onto one of my pairs of pants. If I were staying in the area, I'd definitely be back. This has been my go to place since I moved to the Junction area in December of 2019. Every Sunday, I'm there. I've even dropped off my laundry and used the service. The staff is always helpful and for the most part, the place is clean. There are typically some machines that need repair but seems like more and more are out of service as of late. The reasoning for the 2 stars is due to my most recent visit. Do to it, unfortunately I'll be changing Laundromats. This weekend, my husband and I decided to do our laundry on Saturday morning as opposed to our normal routine. With Covid on the rise in the area, we have been doing our part and wearing our masks when inside establishments. We walked in to find that not even the attendant was wearing his mask. I think nothing of it but then hear the attendant talk about how we are "sheep", or "socialist" or how we are "being controlled like the Chinese". This can be heard while my husband and I are clearly the only ones in the place with masks. Again, I pass this off as ignorance and figure I'd call at a later time and talk to the manager/owner. The comments quickly turn political and about the 2020 election. Fast forward a few minutes and the owner walks in with a kid wearing a mask (was he a sheep,too?", the attendant changed his conversation but then went to kiss the boss!!!! Nothing would change by talking to her so I figure I just leave a review and share my experience. It would be nice to be able to do my laundry and not have to hear political BS from either side. It would also be nice to feel as if the establishment I choose to do business with valued its customers and put proper steps in place like employees wearing masks, the other young attendant does. Lastly, by all means, the attendant is entitled to his beliefs but me as a consumer shouldn't feel attacked in your place of business. read more

Stopped at The Washboard to wash and dry a couple of small loads. Was impressed with the extent to which the owner goes to supply the customer with a quality laundromat experience. All washers and driers are clean and in good operating condition. Floors, doors and windows all clean. Restroom clean as well. Attendants will wash and dry laundry for a fee. Curbside dropoff avsilable. A small vommunak area offers free coffee, TV and a small, well stocked library of hard bound and paperback books. All in all a very good laubdromat experience. read more

Let me begin by stating that I have been to laundromats all over this country, in at least 20 states, and this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review. This laundromat is outstanding. Clean, comfortable, there are books you can read while waiting and comfy chairs. There's a play pen for children, free tea and coffee.... this laundromat feels like an extension of the owners home. The owner was very friendly, he greeted us as we walked in and made it clear that we were welcome here. The reason I am writing this review is because of Ruben. This man went above and beyond. When my bacon grease stains wouldn't come out in the wash, he made it his personal mission to tackle the problem. He pulled out all kinds of specialty detergents and a toothbrush and went to work on my jacket. I took over, as I never expect another man to do my work for me, but as soon as I got distracted on the phone he kept at the stains and hand washed the garment, rinsed and dried it for me. This place is part laundromat, part tea house, part therapy clinic. Me and my girlfriend both had mini breakdowns, and Ruben held the space for us and let us be ourselves, just as we were in the moment. We parted with hugs, and I know that if I'm ever in grand junction again I'll be visiting this laundromat. In fact, if anyone ever asks me for something to do in grand junction, this is the business I'll recommend. MANAGEMENT: If there's any room in the budget at all, PLEASE PAY RUBEN MORE. he's worth it. He's got a kid, and he wants to travel. We love him. read more

This was my best experience I've ever had at the laundromat. The attendant was super friendly and helpful. My sister had a pink stain all over her white shirt and he did everything he could to help remove it. Refreshing to come across someone so genuinely kind. This laundry mat has to be the best one in Grand Junction. It's clean and well kept and maintained, and the area feels safe - no sketchy characters hanging around outside. The attendant on site is also one of the kindest gentlemen ever, and is happy to help anyway he can. There's also free wifi and coffee, drink and snack machines, and a full library so you have some entertainment. Won't go anywhere else! read more

The attendant was polite. I was using self service coin wash. I had a shirt that the stain didn't come out of. The attendant took the initiative to treat the stain and reward the shirt. She was beyond helpful. They've earned my future business. read more

This is a very nice laundromat. There's an attendant that helps out and works on clothes that have been dropped off. It is very clean inside and so is the restroom. Prices are not too bad. There are plenty of magazines or books to read, and there's also a play area for kids. This was just perfect for washing up some of our vacation clothes. read more

Even on Monday morning wash day, we were able to make use of four washers and three dryers in order to get done in max time. The machines were clean and well maintained. There was a nice area for children to play, as well as a coffee machine, ice water, and snacks, lots of reading material. Good folding shelves and plenty of baskets on wheels for laundry transfer. The attendant was helpful, courteous, and friendly. As laundromats go, this was excellent. read more
