I stopped in to check out the store and quickly found an item I was interested in. After being asked twice if I wanted to pay for the item (and not done shopping ) I thought well I better go ahead and pay . I had a 100$ bill that she quickly said "I can't take that" which I get . I said, I have a debit card . So after her rude attitude, I decided nope, I will not patronize your store ! I said Nevermind , I may stop back later and I left. I friend and I visited this store yesterday and when we walked in there were two employees sitting on the couch. Neither one acknowledged us or even looked up and made eye contact. I had found a crochet coverup up I liked and mentioned to my friend that I liked a pair of boots after trying them on. She asked how much they were and I stated they didn't have a price tag. We were standing about 8-10 feet from the employees during this conversation and neither of them offered to help or provide any insight. After saying I was going to buy the crochet top, my friend pointed out that the employees kept turning around and staring at us pretty much the whole time we shopping and acted as if we were going to steal. I noticed this after she said something and it was very uncomfortable. I decided to put the clothes back and leave. As we left both employees were looking at their phones and my friend said "bye thank you" and neither one looked at us or said anything. After being repeatedly ignored the entire time I said "thanks for the customer service". I've never left a review anywhere in my life, but I've worked in customer service for over 8 years and have never been treated liked that. Both of us were absolutely appalled. I have been visiting Davis and Thomas for almost a decade now and we always stop at the local shops. It was my friend's first time visiting, so i was quite disappointed. Absolutely the most adorable shop in Davis! Such a variety of items for your closet or home. Many handmade items as well. I was able to find gifts for my entire family. Great selection of fun books too! The store was not only a gem but the lady that worked there was super nice and helpful. She even had some great recommendations for us during our stay. If you're ever in Davis/Thomas it's absolutely a must visit. read more

The stuff inside isn't bad. They have your typical "Pinterest Style" decor with some vintage pieces mingled in here and there. The thing that would make me not want to buy anything from this shop, honestly is the coldness if its employees. When I first walked in, there was a sign on a small table that asked you to please sanitize your hands. Perfectly understandable because of Covid. However, one of the employees, an older woman, stared me down as well the people I was with without so much as a "hello" or "good morning" she then huffed past us once we all used it like we were a bother we were even there. The second employee behind the counter was just as cold. While looking at the items on the counter she was standing behind, I attempted to make eye contact and muttered a hello. In response....I got nothing. I'm sorry. But if you want the support of people to help your business, you need to learn to at least be polite. I don't expect a full conversation, but a simple acknowledgement that I want to support your business would be a kind gesture. There are plenty of other cute stores in Davis. In small towns shops like this they need some good press to bring more people in. Unfortunately, our experience will not add to that. We were in twice last weekend. The 1st time in we spent 50 bucks, the second time we spent nothing. There were some other things we were interested in purchasing but the only employee in the store was completely disinterested in our inquiries. She seemed to not care if we bought anything and appeared annoyed that she had to deal with us actually buying something. A $50 purchase could have actually been many times more than that had there been some interest from the seemingly annoyed worker. read more

Love this unique store in the heart of Davis. Great place for souvenirs or rare finds. The best part is it was below our air bnb, so perfect location for us during our stay in Davis. Highly recommend the store and the air bnb above it. The owner is just the sweetest, too. read more

Cutest boutique downtown but nothing I couldn't live without.

Based on how I look, they decided to stare and then proceed to follow me around the store because they thought I was going to steal something. Just looking for incense, lol. Not a very welcoming place especially if you don't meet their standards on appearance. Still, tried to be kind and interact with the staff at check-out, but was met with a cold shoulder. read more

A great little store in a fantastic town. Bought a few shirts and a pullover. We actually stayed in the airbnb above the store and that was how our attention was first brought to this shop. Had a fantastic conversation with the owner and actually went in a second time just to chit chat some more. All in all a great experience and my kids loved her dog!! read more
