The haircut here also came included with a shampoo wash, (which is great, since other places usually charge extra). I was very happy with the end result, how healthy and light my hair felt, and how beautifully he styled my new layers! It was my first time trying this salon, and trying a new style since I see Butterfly Cut popular lately online, and I'm happy I took a chance and went to Sun's Hair Design. I recommend Juno 10/10, he was confident, worked precisely, and with skill! My boyfriend also came and did a perm for the first time here, and he said it looked exactly like the photo he showed Juno. Thank you for the great haircuts, it was amazing!

Very polite, listens to you, do not rush you and the end result is better than you expected. If you have fine, straight and long hair, they are especially good at dealing with such hair type. 3. Price is reasonable (about ~$100) for long hair. Ask for Young Kim, she is fabulous! I always see her and I have been coming here for over 2 years. They are also personable and genuinely nice. I had some unfortunate coloring/highlight from a year before and she blended it and cut it really nicely. 4. Good product recommendations, but does not actually try to sell you if you aren't interested, which is rare and awesome. All in all, highly recommend. Especially if you are Asian and have long hair!

Review on hair cut only…read more Ok, the place looks pretty bad and it looks like only 90 year old ladies would come here. When my stylish gf recommended this place, I was actually pretty shocked. She looks like the type of person who would only cut her hair at a fancy salon. So when she recommended me to this small and dated hair salon located next to a bathhouse, I was really skeptical at first. I've always had long hair, and I've had it butchered by many hair salons in the U.S. Yes, it is really hard to find a good hair salon that handles Asian hair very well. Annie's hair design gave me the best hair cut I had in VA, so I have to give her a 5 star despite some imperfections. I went to another salon after Annie's and then my hair got butchered again (and it has over 4.5 yelp raiting!!!), so I am growing it out till I can get a decent hair cut. My hair currently looks horrible with weird edges, so this time I will return to Annie's. I read a negative review about washing and drying hair before cutting it. This is a normal procedure in Korean hair salons. In fact, I always look forward to getting my hair washed and blow dried before getting a cut. The reason is, since the stylist water sprays your hair anyway for a cut, why not wash it and give a little head massage to make both client and hair dresser feel good? I am sure no one would like to touch dirty hair either. She does seem to like using razor to cut your hair, so if you don't like the style, you might not like it. For me, she only used her scissors to cut chunks, and then used razor for a detailed cut. I personally really liked it, and it was probably one of the best hair cuts I got outside of Korea. Hair cut for long hair was $45.

KSY is a Korean owned business so it's best to come with a Korean speaking person. Looking at their website you'll see they have locations around the world, and this is not just some mom and pops shop. That makes sense since this place does seem a little more on the high end. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't super expensive though. After the first bleach I could sense that the hairstylist was rushing and wanted to wrap up so she kept on insisting that my hair looked good that I should stop here. I felt awkward and sorry I wanted to leave so bad. I have to take a profile picture but I don't even know how I'm going to do that now with this patchy and awkward colored hair. I ordered a wig. Three stars because I feel bad (shouldn't be. Sigh) for making them bleach my hair twice when she only wanted to once....price for this was a little less than $300.
