We are visiting from another state. This was my first time visiting here. I loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked up to the entrance doors. It is very lovely inside. It is very clean, all the employees and volunteers are absolutely wonderful they are helpful, informative and extremely friendly. The prices are also very reasonable. Even the refreshments are at a moderate price. I highly recommend coming to watch a movie here if you're a local or visiting like we are. Great service, great building and fun times! read more

I was able to see a movie here with my sons and grandson over the 4th of July week. Much more reasonable than the bigger theaters for both admission and concession. Comfortable and clean to enjoy a movie. What's not to love? read more

I love old theaters and the Vogue doesn't disappoint. From the great facade outside to the retro atrium inside. The theater is a mix of retro and modern. Sadly it doesn't really have the great atmosphere of some old theaters, like there's no murals on walls or ceiling. The seats are acceptable, comfortable, but not much more. Screen is a tad small, but ok. The sound system seems very good. I saw Free guy and loved my experience. The service was very good and friendly. My rating is going to be based against historic theaters, not modern cinemas. On that criteria I give a full 5 stars. The faults are too minor compared to the feel of a historic theater. Would I return? You betcha! $7 ticket is worth it. read more

Our family has been going here for the last 5 or so years. It's such a quaint place with a strong sense of community. The ticket prices are fair by today's standards. Saturday at 10:00a is 25¢ family movie day. Vogue shows a second-run family movie for a quarter. Can't beat it! read more

Always an awesome experience especially if you're a classic movie buff with their $2.00 Wed. matinees which include some historical background before the film. The volunteers are great (thank you!), best pop-corn ever and you literally feel transported back in time. All the new mega-theaters could really take a lesson here. read more

A great theater run by an all-volunteer staff. It makes you feel good to spend your money here, and I would much rather see a movie here than at any other movie theater in California, including IMAX! The technology has all been updated and I hardly noticed the difference between this and a "modern" theater in CA when I saw "How to Train Your Dragon 2" in 3D here about a month ago last June. For much of my memory, the Vogue was just a place that locals had fond memories of, but that had fallen into disrepair and had ultimately closed. One elderly man who grew up in town during the 1940s remembered back when kids could bring in bread bags to trade for movie tickets. Then several years ago, something wonderful happened...through the hard work and dedication of volunteers and donors...IT'S BACK, and as lovely as the images conjured by the stories of its original glory. Now a non- profit staffed by volunteers, the Vogue shows not only first run hit movies, but has discount shows on Thursdays and Saturdays featuring classics ( last week was West Side Story) and family friendly favorites on Saturday morning. If you live nearby, become a member...if you are passing through, stop in for a show or popcorn to go. Either way, take the time to enjoy this spectacular renaissance which shows what the power of community can achieve. read more

At the beginning of every film, the Vogue screens a trailer about the redevelopment of the facilities, and how the community has become involved with it (from school kids to seniors). I swear, my eyes water up with pride every time it comes on! To echo other reviewers, this place is not only an incredible little gem for seeing first rate movies (both blockbusters as well as art house offerings and classics), but also a manifestation of remarkable community spirit and support. Seeing a movie at the Vogue is so much more invigorating than the generic multiplex experience. Admission prices are reasonable, and the snack bar includes local treats like fudge. Beautiful nostalgic theater. Went to see the original Jaws with my son and brother. I'm a very patient person, but we were 3 of no more than 15 people (4 groups) and it took seriously 20 minutes to get our tickets and we were 3rd or 4th in line. The staff I think are volunteers, not interested in customer service. It's obviously dependent on donations and grants and not very concerned with being efficent. But the worst thing was to see a man turned away who suffered from asthma and could not medically comply with their mask policy (masks required while in the lobby, but not in the theater, we're talking 7 maybe 8 yardsof required mask area). I think special consideration should be made for medically fragile people and it's very upsetting to see disabled people discriminated against. Especially when we're social distancing and he could have easily been accommodated by someone on staff taking care of his transaction in the vestibule and escorting him through the lobby; or let him go first/last. I wish I'd said something and have been regretting it. Sorry to you asthma guy, if you're reading this, I wish I'd stood up for you. We were planning to see other films there this summer, but I think our money would be better spent elsewhere that doesn't discriminate against people. Sincerely, Regretting silence :( read more

Wow. Theaters like this don't exist anymore. It's a renovated throwback theater that's been done really well. Super clean and the staff is really friendly. My dad and I saw "Dunkirk" here and it was only $6 each. You walk into the theater and there is a curtain over the screen, which opens up to a huge HD movie screen. The seats are really comfortable and recline a bit. They even show classic movies, which I wish I would be around for. They are showing some classics in August from 1987, like dirty dancing and Spaceballs! read more

This is the BEST theater I've ever visited! State of the art sound system and the best popcorn...tastes like homemade. Staff are great and prices are very low even for first run and 3-D movies. I visited The Vogue Theater for the first time today to watch Jurassic World. I went with my date, and after purchasing the tickets and entering the theater, we found that there were only two seats left in what looked like only seated maybe 30 people. The two seats sadly were on opposite ends of the theater. Being on a date, we didn't want to have to sit apart, so we got our money back from the tickets and left. was pretty disappointing. I think they shouldn't sell the tickets out with no place to sit. read more
