Hopefully other Harmon locations will reopen just like this one. This location has ample parking spaces and the inside, is just as spacious with wide aisles- something my local Harmon didn't have. I made due, however I recently learned that this particular Harmon in New Rochelle was reopening, and since travel plans are on the horizon, I thought it was the perfect excuse to go check it out. How did this happen? Why was Harmon playing with my emotions like this? Someone queue up Here You Come Again by Dolly Parton. Based upon what I was overhearing while shopping, it seems that Harmon always did well, and that it was simply a casualty of BBB going under; they found a new buyer for the brand and will begin reopening their brick and mortar locations. This one in New Rochelle is the first one to open, and another one in Jersey is set to open later this summer. Walking in, I was greeted by the usual - the famous wall of travel-sized items, a vast selection of personal hygiene products, snacks, and cosmetics. I focused my attention on the travel-sized section, though I did make a few laps around the store just to take it all in. While they are still building up their inventory (specifically their house brand products), there's still a lot to choose from. Service was good, everyone was friendly and I was taken care of swiftly upon checkout. Overall, I'm impressed with the initial offerings that Harmon has, and am super happy to see they're back. This will definitely be my go-to once again for travel merch.
