I took a trip to The Vitamin Shoppe after the employee at GNC gave me a blank & confused stare when requesting Chia Seeds.
Parking was great although the store is on the corner and the shop next to it is vacant. I can see how it may become an issue in the future. But for now, there is plenty of parking.
I only ran in for a quick second. This store is brand-spanking-new so it is immaculate. The floors are spotless, shelves fully stocked and so on.
I was greeted by a woman upon entering. She offered me a sales flyer but I immediately asked for Chia seeds. The sales manager ( I think it was Mark, or some other common "M" name) offered to show me where they were. He knew exactly where they were. I also asked for Coconut oil. He pointed it out to me even though it was directly below the Chia seeds.
Checkout was easy. I signed up for one of their rewards cards and thought it would take forever (like most stores do) but it only took a few seconds.
During checkout, the female associate asked for "Mark" to explain something to a customer. It doesn't seem like shes as informed as "Mark", but hey, it's a new store so I'm sure she'll learn as time passes.
All in all, I had a great experience. The employees didn't push any diet pills, protein shakes, vitamins or anything else on me like other stores. Prices were better than other Health stores I've been to, and it is clean and well organized and the staff was great. This was my first trip to (any) The Vitamin Shoppe and I will definitely shop here in the near future. read more
