This place is HUGE! It's the Costco of supplements! I couldn't believe how big the building was when I drove up. It's also located on one of the busiest corners in the city, Hilcroft at Westheimer. I went there for one reason only. I needed some empty gel caps for an experiment at school (No, I do not force my students to ingest gel caps). I've looked many places for these including on-line. They are usually unavailable or really expensive for what they are. Today I was able to find gel caps in multiple sizes. They came in packs of 100, 500, or 1000. I was able to get 500 of them for only $8.99. I also liked that when I walked in, the lady at the register knew exactly where the item I wanted was in the gigantic store. read more

While I normally buy most of the supplements I try or regularly use online I ended up having to come here out of necessity (I read something and wanted to see if it made a difference and was going to workout later that day). So the plus is that its pretty large and carries a lot of brands and its been pretty clean the few times I have been there. The only down side is that I heard numerous customers asking the staff questions that they didn't really have an answer for which is to be expected. They have a HUGE selection of vitamins, supplements, and healthy alternative medicines for extremely cheap prices. I am a huge fan of acai berry products, and they have a great selection of those as well. The pricing is well below GNC in my opinion, and the store is about 3 times the size. Well, Well, Well...I just spent $100.00 on some supplements... Having just paid I was waiting for them to put the supplements in a bag so that I could leave... since time was standing still I decided it was my move so I asked for a bag to put my purchases into and I was informed that a scam/bag would cost .50 cents... I was expecting a smile and a laugh but nothing so I said are you serious?... you want me to pay you .50cents for a bag to put my $100.00 purchase into?... yes, he was dead serious... well, I didn't happen to have any cash so I just had to make do with my purchases and leave... I started thinking on the way home how rude this business treats it's customers... is there a purchase level you have to achieve in order to get a free bag?... it's not $100.00... maybe it's $200.00, maybe $1000.00... there is a sign on the door about recycling but nothing about a purchase ceiling to hit in order to get a free bag...this is my last time to use my money on such a callous and money grabbing business who treats customers like crap... this is a new low and a slap in the face to customers... I found what I was looking for (with no help), and went up the counter to check out. I have completely given up on GNC, I don't think their supplements are worth a damn and are very expensive. I drive all the way into town to buy my supplements rather than driving to the nearest GNC (which is across the street from me). I asked the employees why they didn't pickup the trash and I was told that the trash is the fault of the homeless people....huh? Used to shop with them a lot around 2010-2012. Decided to give them another try since they carry something that I couldn't find at other supplement places. Well ... I think their return policy doesn't flow my boat. Anything that has been opened even return within 30 days (you can only get store credit). Okay, the only way to get your full refund back is if you never use the product. Heh if I have never used it, how would I know if it works or not??? Smh ... doesn't make sense. The staff looked at my return, he sort of complained about the quantity of the leftover return. He said this time he would let it slide but next time if I do return something, the leftover quantity must be at least 25%. LMAO not sure how to measure that ... it didn't come in as a full bottle. Like I told him the reason I must return it because the product has been giving me very bad stomache!!!! I had zero intention to return it if it all worked out. I had the right to be dissatisfied. Oh another thing. They are very pricey, comparing some other places online. For the exchange, I got something else paid the difference and left. Hope it will work out.
