super cool guy that helped me out i forget his name but good costumer service very great service lots of selection and support

I am a frequent customer for Vitamin shoppe and I had an online order, however someone on the team missed one of my products and wasn't able to complete my order due to not having the flavor I wanted in stock. Manager Ricky delivered excellent customer service and even gave me a discount for the inconvenience, he also threw a tasty energy drink, that says everything about customer service and the delivery was impeccable! Since the CO reads these reviews here I promised a review for Ricky, make sure you guys promote this guy for having a great service mindset and for truly taking care of the brand. Kudos!! Richard is the BEST! He is extremely helpful and KNOWLEDGABLE!! Sometimes they may not have a product in stock that I am looking for and Richard can always recommend a good replacement or even better product. I highly recommend! They are always having sales too. I get cards in the mail for discounts. Make sure you are signed up for rewards! read more

One of the best supplement stores in the area, you can probably find anything you need there, and the staff is always willing to help and supportive, and it's fun and interesting to converse with them. Every time I go to the store, I don't have to keep introducing myself because Ricky and the staff are so friendly they will remember you very well and suggest with the best products. They also educated me on how to use supplements properly for improved well-being. Overall it's a solid 10/10 and would recommend it to anyone trying to new products. read more

I have been using this branch of the Vitamin Shoppe for several years now. The staff is always cordial and knowledgeable, and Ricky (the manager) has been especially helpful to me. When a particular brand of supplement that I had been purchasing for several years was out of stock, the staff made a recommendation, and the replacement supplement was less expensive than the supplement I was taking before. Thanks! That was truly appreciated. :-) read more

I went looking for a fish oil/Omega 3 supplement today and found myself at the Vitamin Shoppe. I've never seen so many vitamins, supplements, herbal supplements, and other stuff. I wasn't sure what to pick out - there were sooooo many choices! I got one of the store staff to come over to talk to me about the choices - it quickly became clear he wasn't sure about what he was talking about. An older gentlemen came over and talked to me about the choices and explained a few things. I ended up choosing the Vitamin Shoppe brand of fish oil capsules. I'll have to ask around, do some research, and check to see what the experts think about fish oil brands. The store was very clean, well lit, and well stocked. read more

The Vitamin Shoppe - Great variety of protein bars and also keto friendly - Vitamins & Supplements Near Me - Fairfax, Virginia

I come into this store all the time, specifically for Ricky. He is so knowledgeable on all of the products offered. Every question I have, he has an answer for. He's also always telling me about different offers and discounts around the store. I find myself confining in him, as he's a caring employee. It feels like his job is more than just a workplace, but a place to help others. Most of the time, if Ricky isn't there, i'll come back when he is. I specifically come to this location from my home for his services. Great hire. read more

Lots of different varieties of vitamins and I love it! Although in the middle of a pandemic, some employees are wearing masks and some aren't. A lot of customers are walking around with no masks and no one is saying anything. Yet they have a sign on the door that says everyone has to wear a mask before they enter. Doesn't make any sense? read more

This Vitamin Shoppe is my go-to spot for supplements. The staff here is super attentive & also knowledgeable. They never try to push anything on you but are great at listening to any supplement questions you have & helping you with your fitness goals. I usually don't leave reviews for chains but I felt the need to point out that this particular location is a really great Vitamin Shoppe experience. In regards to staff here, Ricky and Nathan were super helpful when I came in today. I felt they answered all my questions with a great level of professionalism and I felt very encouraged to continue striving toward my fitness goals. Much love to the staff here! : @ read more

The staff here are extremely friendly and hands down Ricky is the best and very knowledgeable at what he does!

I wanted to take the time to give a review for Ricky! He's so kind and attentive to the patrons . Recently he has even stayed after hours and assisted guests . He is very knowledgeable with the products when I've came for protein or pre work out supplements to soaps and shampoos. I hope management is able to view reviews and rewards him for his exceptional dedication to them and upholding the image and hospitality they aim to achieve . Thank you Ricky always . Blessings to you ! read more

There was a sale on ghost energy drinks and when I got there there were only three left. As I was checking out the cashier said "those are mine." Terrible customer service to stockpile items and not sell to customers. I won't be back. There are places with better customer service. read more

This is a great place to get workout supplements, protein and well obviously vitamins. When you check out you are presented with a candy store like counter - but it's all protein things! Protein bars, protein brownies, protein cookies, protein wafers, protein chews (I could go on). Every time I go, I pick up one strange protein-y item JUST IN CASE it might be good. I have to say that Chef Jay's Tri-O-Plex Gourmet Peanut Butter Brownie actually could pass for a brownie (if you haven't had a REAL brownie in awhile). You can also buy more popular bars like Luna, Clif, MetRX in boxes instead of individual bars like you might find at the grocery. read more

This is my go to spot for all my supplemental needs. I use to go to GNC, however they tend to be a bit more expensive, and on top of that, you have to pay for a membership just to get the discounts. If you want better prices then, come here and get products. I'm very into fitness so I come here regularly to pick up stuff from protein, pre workout, BCAAs, creatine, and of course protein bars and cookies. They have a large selection and the staff are always very friendly. The one thing that I really like is that they always send me nice coupons that make the prices even more affordable. read more

I was in yesterday and Tyler was very knowledgeable about the supplements and the meal replacement that I was considering. He even suggested using unsweetened almond milk to mix the powder to enhance the flavor. Very knowledgeable, very helpful in suggesting alternative products that would work for my current lifestyle requirements. I didn't spend much time with the other folks working there but they all were very helpful and friendly. Shout out to all the folks there. read more

I love Vitamin Shoppe! Been going to there for over 15 yrs. Much better than GNC because the selection is great, lots of options to choose from and they are always knowledgeable. For instance, during my last trip about 2 weeks ago, there was an associate named Daniel who I met for the first time. He was extremely helpful! He knew about best brands, best products and even possible side effects. If you are on the fence or just unsure of what to buy, just ask Daniel! He'll get you what you need and you'll certainly leave the happy read more

A friendly shop that has all my supplement and natural beauty needs. The Vitamin Shoppe card really pays off at the end of the year. They have some great sales on items that I use. I trust the Vitamin Shoppe brand as being good quality. The Fairfax Vitamin shop has very friendly staff that always greet you upon arrival. Knowledgeable staff and efficient checkout. Staff have always lend a helping hand to my car when I am purchasing a heavy load. I wish all Vitamin Shoppes were as customer service orientated as the Fairfax store. A tip when coming from 29 south, enter the strip mall parking lot prior to the Vitamin Shoppe, and park by the Cox Communication store and walk over. read more

This place is better than buying online. Price is actually comparable to what you'll find online and the store associates are incredibly knowledgeable about their products. Better than gnc where protein is on average $10 more and most have no idea what anything is. If you need a little direction in the supplement world, this place is a good spot. Plus don't have to wait around for shipping. read more

Great shop and great experiences here! Ricky was fabulous and offered wonderful product recommendations. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and generous and made the trip more than I expected. Will definitely return soon! read more

I drive out of my way for this Vitamin Shoppe for a reason, I could easily go to the one at Springfield mall and save 10-20mins of driving but I go so far out of my way for one reason, an employee named Ricky. He goes above and beyond as an employee, he will walk with you through-out the store and talk to you about what you are looking at and give recommendations. To my knowledge he doesn't have any degree in health science but he does do the research on the products coming out and he will also ask repeat customers of their experience with the products so he can give better recommendations. I find this to be an indispensable asset to the store, he gave me a tip to my mass gainer protein to split the servings to two meals to make it easier to drink. Now this may seem like an obvious tip but for someone who hasn't been taking mass gainer before and would just follow the four scoop instructions to a T would probably have suffered a lot and not continued. I think with his knowledge and helpfulness, I'd rather hear what he has to say and think than look at the price tag, I have not once had a bad experience with a product that he has recommended and I now look to see if he's present in the store before even looking at the products because I might not know about something new that has come out that has rave reviews or something that is over hyped and is just getting pushed hard. It is worth the drive and I think that I wouldn't come back if Ricky wasn't there. Look for him, he's kind, welcoming and always willing to help out. read more

Love the new GM. The old one had mood swings and the employees would admit that they couldn't stand her. All of the employees are really nice. read more

I went here a few days ago to pick up a tub of AML Preworkout. It seems that this is exclusively sold at Vitamin Shoppe stores because I cannot find it online other than Amazon with a 14% markup. This was my first time going to this location just because I was in the area. From my experience, the staff here are very knowledgeable about their products, and can tell you about the differences in many items either from speaking with customers who have used them or from personal experience. I was asked about my workout regimen, and educated about what products would aid in achieving my goals. There was never any pressure placed on me to purchase a product; only great information given. Check this place out and ask for Mark, he definitely knows what he is talking about. read more

I went into the Vitamin Shoppe to get protein powder. Their selection was impressive, but their prices were high compared to other stores. I will say it was nice that I was able to return a protein powder that I didn't like. read more

I've been a member of Vitamin shoppe for years. The company itself has everything you could possibly ever need or want to become a better and healthy person. However if you don't know what you're shopping for, it's going to require not just a well equipped store, but an extremely knowledgeable staff to back it up. Not only does this store in Fairfax provide all of this but each employee who works there takes their job quite seriously. You have to know what your doing in order to advise the public on what supplements to put in your body, otherwise you can hurt someone terribly. Ricky is the manager at this particular store and I truly have never experienced such a professional, kind and knowledgeable man. He goes above and beyond the call of duty every time. I learn something new each visit and I refuse to go anywhere else and I live pretty far away now. When you receive excellent service like this from everyone, the distance to drive becomes a moot point because the good out weighs any negative. Ricky also treats the staff quite well and you can tell when you're there because actions always speak louder than words. They aren't there just to be there. Vitamin shoppe will also price match. But don't just take my word and review on this, please go experience it for yourself. I promise, you won't be disappointed! read more
