I was nervous about my first Brazilian but after going to Glow, not only do I know that I will keep getting them, I know I will only be going to Glow for this service. Unfortunately, I can't remember the aesthetician's name now (it was several weeks ago that I went, and I'm due back shortly) but her manner and kindness put me at ease about the whole waxing process. There's something to be said for a woman who can put another at ease about putting hot wax on her bits and then ripping the hair off using said hot wax - but this woman was not only able to calm my fears but also kept me chatting in a way that helped distract me enough to look forward to the end result without stressing too much over the process. I ended up getting a "modified" Brazilian and was charged accordingly - not full price since I didn't get a full Brazilian. I appreciated that despite the fact that she put in so much work and time (30 minutes!! - I'm used to going in, getting the skin, hair, and wax ripped off and being off the waxing table in under 20!), she only charged me for a partial Brazilian. Many salons wouldn't modify the price according to the customer's needs, only their own. Waxing is very Machiavellian - the end has to justify the means because otherwise it can make for walking funny, in grown hairs, and embarrassment, not to mention pain. The Nufree wax is gentle enough, although I had a surprising reaction to it, I think that was more me than the product (since I've had it used on me before with no problems). The aesthetician also provided me with a small sample of lotion to help with in-grown hairs and any irritation that would arise. I was incredibly impressed with her thoroughness as well as her kindness. I'm looking forward to going back to Glow, despite the masochism of getting waxed!

My father has the exact same wrinkles, and I knew they would get deep quickly. How a woman regards the changes in her body as she ages is a very personal process. Some of us do everything they can to fight it, others age with pride. Personally, I just wanted to be able to continue going out without makeup on and still feel confident in my own naked skin. I do not operate under the impression that I can (or should) do everything in my power to hold onto my youth... But I do want to retain that confidence that comes with feeling fresh faced. So my journey into the world of Medspa's was with the hope that I can do some minor preventative care. So on my first visit I had a consult with Cindi. She asked what and where my concerns were. She then explained what my options were and thoroughly detailed how all of the different products work. I chose a product, she talked me through the entire process, and I went home bee stung but excited. A few days later, the results kicked in and any misgivings or prejudice I once had about injectibles disappeared right along with my forehead lines. I turned 34 this past weekend and, with Cindi's help, those forehead and between the brow wrinkles are yet to make any additional progress as wrinkles. My greatest weapon has largely been Dysport. Every 6-8 months I make an appointment to see Cindi, Dysport up, and confidently go back out into the world. Over the past 4 years I've also partaken in a few lovely Hydrafacials and a Dermaplaning appointment with Jacqueline. Cindi and I have experimented with lip fillers and a botox lip flip. My metabolism is such that the lip fillers don't seem to last very long (a few months at best) but it's a huge confidence boost when I do go for that splurge and am able to rock the full voluptuous pout that I always want.
