But then there are times when the wife simply wants a break from cooking Captain Mamby's is the place to visit. The daytime carvery with its selection of value for money great British cooking. On offer are tender cuts of freshly roasted meats, turkey, pork or beef, along with an accompaniment of fresh seasonal vegetables. Along of course with that good old fashioned welcolme. The daytime carvery is reasonably priced at just £5.00 per head and the evening carvery at £7.50 again is good for an evening meal out. There are old fashioned Norfolk and Suffolk beers on tap along side the popular names. One has no need to book at Captain Mamby'sbut be warned it gets very busy at both sittings. The nearby function room has played home to everything from auctions to music of various sorts - however they now seem to concentrate on bands. Parking can be difficult at weekends.
