My girlfriend gets her lashes done here by Allison. Since she only gets lashes done I can't review the other services done here. However, the salon is always packed with tons of people. I have taken my girls to several nail places around town to get pedicures and I have not been impressed with any of them. When it came time to get a set of nails for myself, I came to Yelp for recommendations. The first one that came highly recommended was a total dud - not a good experience at all, so when it came time to get a fill, I knew I needed to dig really deep through the reviews and find the right one. I found Spa Villa, read through the reviews and decided to give it a shot. The first plus - the phone was answered on the second ring. I can't tell you how many places I've called where the phone just rings and rings. Secondly, the person answering was so friendly - I didn't know at the time that it was the owner and that it would be the person doing my nails - Mary. She made me an appointment for the next day. On my way there, I got a call from the salon asking if it was okay that my appointment would be 15 minutes late? I was so surprised that they actually had the courtesy to let me know this - my schedule was clear, and I didn't mind waiting, but if I had needed to, I could have run another errand before I went to the salon. I just thought that was such a nice touch! When I got there, I was immediately greeted, and asked if I wanted something to drink while I waited. Everyone who walked in was greeted as if they were family - and it felt so warm and inviting. It was amazing. You could tell that this was a place where people actually get more than one thing done at this salon. So many salons I go into might offer more than one service, but I don't see people actually going beyond "their" person - I could see that clients loved every aspect of this salon, every service offered, and I felt like I'd finally found my home. My nails, which were not done well at *all* at the last place, were gently repaired by Mary. She promised that within a few visits, we'd completely erase the damage done by the original set :) And I told her I would definitely be switching my hair services over to her salon as well. I can't speak for their spa services, but I did get my hair cut and hightlighted there. Karin did a great job on my hair. I'm so pleased! I'm holding on to two stars because I was not treated rudely this second time, but this IS the second time my color has been destroyed by this salon! I saw a stylist (Denise) here throughout high school and had the same red color touched up 3 times a year for years without incident. Right before my graduation she inexplicably dyed my hair blue black and attempted to tell me it was all in my head and it would fade to red. I was in tears so the male manager came up to the chair confirming that it would not fade to red and he offered me another appt. to have it lightened up. The stylist however openly gossiped to other clients and staff members about me "being a baby" which was unbelievable coming from a 40 something adult woman. After stripping my hair I had to cut off about 14 inches, reducing my length to a short pixie (which I learned to love because the cut was great, I will admit) but my experience was so terrible I swore off the salon as a whole. Fast forward 3 years and I'm in Santa Clarita looking for a salon. I hear Denise is no longer working here so I figure why let one bad experience ruin a place I stuck with religiously. I book an appointment with Megan. About 12 inches of virgin dirty blonde hair with 2 inches of leftover bleach at the ends and I say I'm ready to go back to red and try a bob. I showed her several photos of the color I was looking for. No samples are shown to me like they were every other time I've had my color done but I think nothing of it. Until I leave with purple black hair. Again, no issue with the cut this time around but my hair is so dark! I don't know if there is something going on with they way they mix their color, but it was clear my stylist was surprised by the deep rich purple tones and the first thing I'm told is don't worry it'll lighten up. Not do you like it but damage control right off the bat. It has yet to lighten to red although it's only been 6 washes. The color is indeed lightening but to more of a chocolate brown with a strange grey tone to it. read more

I read a review about this salon and thought I would give it a try. I haven't had my hair professionally done in years (as long as you don't consider SuperCuts a professional salon) and desperately needed a change. Leann was my colorist/stylist and she was fantastic. She was very upfront with me about what I can and shouldn't do with my graying (way too early) hair. The process was long, but well worth it. She lightened my box colored black hair and added caramel highlights, which was much more flattering than my jet black hair (w/2 inch gray roots). She listened to me and did exactly what I wanted with the cut. She would always stop and ask me my opinion before cutting any more off. Imagine that...a stylist that actually listens to you. I am definitely going back to this salon. But, I do suggest early morning appointments because this place gets very busy. read more

Karin is wonderful (whom my husband with very difficult hair to cut sees and she does an amazing, consistent job and couldn't be nicer), Amy (terrific cuts), and my favorite Lisa Hupaylo (amazing color!!) I've been through many stylists in my life (some okay, some not-so-okay) and it wasn't until I found Megan Koskie that I finally found a consistently excellent stylist and never had to worry about my hair anymore. I've been seeing Megan once a month for many years now and have never left with anything less than stunning color and a wonderful cut. Megan is the perfect mix of a stylist who will take direction in relation to what you want but also give you great professional input to make sure you end up the happiest possible with what you're looking for. I'm such a huge fan of Megan's that I've followed her across three locations now (with this last, present location at The Villa Salon being my favorite yet). I don't do much fussing over myself, but taking care of my hair is one thing that's really important to me. Being a client of Megan's means my hair is always healthy, well-taken-care-of and gets me usually daily compliments. And also? Besides being the best stylist I've ever had, Megan is one the loveliest souls I've ever met. Visiting her is always one of the highlights of my month. If you're AT ALL considering finding a new stylist, I can't recommend Megan Koskie highly enough. I went here for over a year for hair services... cut and color to be exact. While I liked the owner/manager very much and thought my specific girl was very pleasant, I found the overall "vibe" with the stylists to be very cliquish. I always felt like I was back in high school and the popular girls just talked amongst themselves. They were always talking about their boyfriends, hookups, where they went last night, where they were going that night, etc. Party central is what it all sounded like and I always felt uncomfortable as if by trying to talk to my stylist about my hair I was somehow interrupting her. I finally decided I hated feeling awkward the whole time I was in the chair and found someplace else to have my hair done. read more

Dean Hampton, at Spa Villa Salon, did my makeup for me and my mom on my wedding day. He did an outstanding job! We looked beautiful! He did airbrush makeup which made my complexion absolutely flawless, and last perfectly for the entire day. He is very friendly and has a wonderful personality. Today I just saw Dean who is absolutely amazing!!! i had referred my mom to him because of his previous reviews for eyelash extensions, but had never personally gone because I lived too far away. I just moved back into town and of course went to him and I loveeee them!! he fixed everything about my previous ones that irritated me, and now i feel amazing! He also doesn't charge an arm and a leg for touch ups like most places do. I have gone to the spa villa for at least 8 years, and the hair cuts were great. Unfortunately the time waiting to be seen, even though I was on time or early to my appointment, have gotten to be too much. Very little consideration from Lisa, the front desk girl. Her attitude was just the cherry on top. I sat waiting and Allie couldn't even come out to say "hey sorry I am running a little late". I had already waited 10 min when i asked Lisa how much longer, Lisa says it's going to be 20 minutes, not ok. I get things happen but it really felt like I didn't matter. I had an acne teen facial by Suzette. This facial of course is not really glamorous like others (it's acne) One hour of acne treatment is what I got. This facial was outstanding, amazing, and feels so good. I have had many acne facials in my life and this one was awesome. I would rather pay for one hour of hardcore acne treatment then getting my foot massage and the other wonderful things they offer with your facial. Suzette comes across as someone you have known for years. So polite, gentle, and professional. I highly recommend this place for your acne facial treatments with Suzette. I have not had any other facial services but with her so I cannot recommend anyone else for facials. I am planning on having another facial in the beginning of March. I plan to be a monthly customer for facials. Thanks to The villa Salon. By the way the lady that answers the phone was so nice and explained so much to me that I ended up getting the Agave oil treatment. Marissa did the agave treatment for me which is suppose to calm down the frizz. I was kind of ugh about it because how can u take away frizz. The next day I air dryed my hair and did not have frizz. This treatment appears to b working for now. I am going to give it a couple months or less and will report back on this agave experience.... But so far so good. Thanks to Marissa that explained the process. She is friendly and very professional. I found Nicole Lopez after not one, but two stylists at other salons over-bleached my hair and gave me "layers" that left most of my previously long hair much shorter. In fear of another stylist doing more damage, I started box-dying my hair. By the time I was introduced to Nicole through a family friend, my hair was three different colors and in poor condition: an impossible mess. She gave me an AWESOME bob to get rid of most of the damaged areas and managed to get all of my hair to the same rich auburn shade. I'm still in shock (in a good way) and everyone is stopping me left and right to tell me how much they love my hair color. I've been searching for a good eyebrow esthetician for a very long time here in SCV. I would mostly just go to nail salons to get them done, and never left completely satisfied with my brows. Unfortunately the nail salons seemed to not really put in any effort in figuring out what is best for you and what shape you want, etc. Yeah, it's cheap to go there, but at Villa Salon you definitely get your moneys worth! I picked this salon because of the great reviews. I went to see Gabby for an eyebrow wax. When I walked in I was greeted by a very nice girl at the front desk. The salon was so cute and clean, and everyone seemed to be happy! So I met with Gabby and she made sure that I was comfortable for the entire process. She really seemed to care about my whole experience there. She used lots of different powders and creams to help with the pain and everything, was chatting with me a bit during the wax, asking if I was ok, and being very gentle and even gave me a tissue when my eyes started watering up from the wax! When she was done I was so shocked at how beautifully shaped by brows were! They literally have never looked this good! I had an amazing experience here and will definitely be coming back every time for my eyebrow waxes, and will be sure to recommend you guys to everyone! Seems like it's a clean place but unfortunately they have no consideration when keeping appointments. Made a 330pm appointment to get my eyebrows done and was left sitting there for 11 minutes without getting seen. They're right across from my work which made it convenient but not when you're on break. May try them again, but for now they have left me disappointed. read more

Seriously, this place is to be avoided at any cost. They told me over the phone that they are running a special of free haircut (quoted $45) with any color treatment (quoted $60). When I reached there, my stylist looked extremely nervous! I told her specifically what and how I wanted my hair style and color to be. She was very slow in everything, including preparing color which took her more than 15 minutes. It had been more than 45 minute since I sat down to get my color dry and I had to inform her that I should be done by now. Not just that, even though I exactly told her the style that I wanted, she was very reluctant and unsure to cut the length off to get the correct style. Overall she took 2.5 hours to do my hair and color which is ridiculous and unheard of! I had some groceries in my car which went bad in the heat because she took so long and I still did not get the haircut that I wanted. On top of that, they charged me $70 for color and get this, $30 for styling! What!!!! The place is very crowded, not at all like what you see on their website. All the stations are very close to each other. Also, I learnt that some stylists there are renting the stations but some of them are hired by the salon. And when they give you specials like this, it is with one of these least experienced salon stylists which they probably hire for less money.
