I went to this place on March 13th of this year and would say my overall experience was not great…read more The reason I am even giving them a review is to warn other people to maybe pick a different treatment center if possible. One of the first things you do when you get to this or any other treatment facility is you surrender all of your belongings to be searched while you are at one of your lowest points of your life. The one expectation you might have is that they would return everything back to you once they searched it. This was not my experience. The people who searched my belongings stole a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses that were a gift to me and cost $160. The second item that was stolen was a gerber knife that I received on my deployment to Afghanistan. That item is not really replaceable because of the sentimental significance but if I wanted to replace it, it would cost me around $150. I reported these items stolen and they have done nothing to make this right. I was lucky enough to be transferred to Pheonix Rising for if I wasn't I most likely wouldn't be sober 4 months later. This is a fair warning to anyone looking for a reliable and honest recovery treatment facility.

House meetings, rides to meetings daily, medical app rides, etc I could not have done it without them. They even gave me a partial scholarship and helped me find IOP programs If you really want to do the deal, and build lasting relationships, you really cannot go wrong with stairways. 5 months later, I am still clean, happy, and in touch with a couple of people from this program. Like a factory wheel. If you identify as LGBTQ+ -- Inneractions can not cater to you. Inneractions does not have the necessary tools or staff. Seek other support. The next most important reason I chose 1Method was for their commitment to an exercise program that was built into the weekly schedule that included the guidance of a professional trainer who worked with me to build new habits that have stayed with me. I have stayed sober since August 25 of 2019 . I am grateful to live at the beach where I ride my bike every day and prepare healthy, real foods for myself and my family, because those things helped me build new habits that were foundational to my long term success. I had lost my way and the light inside me. My time at launch was reformative, informational, emotional, uplifting and inspirational. After a short time at Launch, I started to believe in myself again. In my addiction, the people places and things I surrounded myself with brought out the worst in me. At Launch, I felt safe, comfortable and supported every day, which allowed me to open up, talk through difficult things I was experiencing/ have experienced and never felt judged. I started to feel hope for the future and the light inside me turned back on. I gained such important tools that I was able to implement in my life to function as a healthy adult. (I graduated a month ago and have a job that I love, a fellowship, friends, a relationship with my family and an inner peace I have never experienced before this) The staff is AMAZING and each member positively impacted me on my journey. I was never turned away, felt pushed aside or unheard. Provided lunch/yummy snacks and coffee throughout the day was such a life saver. Help with my resume and job hunting was extremely appreciated. They actually do it all! The staff goes above and beyond for each person who walks through the door. I had no idea what to expect, but this place is a unicorn. This place is nothing more than a trap house staffed by individuals that look like they're still in their active meth addiction. Either that or they don't offer their staff dental health benefits because half of them are missing teeth, and look like they just arrived from the nearest homeless shelter. It's dingy, the common areas are carpeted, it's dark, and filthy. Their idea of a 'luxury' private room with king size bed was adjoining two queen size beds together. And they couldn't even do that properly as there was nothing keeping them attached. Therefore you can fall right down the middle. Pathetic. One staff member not only used expletives like a pirate but also managed to call me a Masshole (cause I'm from Massachusetts), only to then give me tips on how to tell good meth from bad meth! Having driven 6 hours to this dump I thought it best to spend the night since it was already dark outside. But first thing in the morning bright and early I was out of there. Though they didn't make it easy. They begged me to please stay even offering to walk my dogs (I brought with me) on my behalf and even take them to the dog park multiple times a day. There I was thinking to myself, 'I don't trust you with MY well-being much less my dogs well-being'! And so I left and hightailed it back to my home. I didn't think a place like this could exist in Malibu, but what this taught me is that even in Malibu one has to do their due diligence in researching a facility. I have since then heard from other individuals that this is a 'body broker' type of place. If you don't know what a 'body broker' is, Google it. Essentially it's when they pay (in one form or another) for someone to get high/use so they can bring them in and charge their health insurance. Alternatively it can also manifest as specifically seeking those in active addiction (regardless of their wanting to get sober or not) and paying/convincing them (one way or another) to come in; and as you may have already guessed: charge their health insurance. It is because of places like Oceanside Malibu that the recovery industry needs to be much more stringently regulated. A place like this dump should not be legally allowed to exist.
