If I could leave 0 stars I would this place is a scam. I applied to this apartment looking to move closer to the hospital that I work at. First, I received an approval email with directions to log into the resident portal, I log in have a move in date (that I did not select) but thats the least of it. Over 24hrs later I received another email denying me. At this point I am more than confused. I looked at the denial letter and the 2 things on it were incorrect. I called the next day and the young lady I spoke with stated she never saw this before and her property manager was not back until Monday and that she would have him give me a call in the mean time I could call and dispute it. I called transunion and they stated they saw nothing on my credit that was listed. I called MRI which is the credit check agency that they used sent over documents that proved their information was incorrect and they stated they would rectify it. Monday comes no call from a property manager, the leasing assistants or whatever they claim to be fed me some bs that the approval email I received was automatically generated and they needed information from transunion to proceed. How can transunion send something to them that they don't have?? I am now completely not interested in living there because if they are this disorganized and untruthful now I can only imagine what will happen if I were to sign a lease. read more

I have only been living here for about 3 weeks, and I didn't read reviews before I moved and I'm glad I didn't. I don't have anything but positive things to say about living here. It's quiet, clean, and any issue I have had is rectified within 24 hours. Most places make you pay for a parking garage, and even then, you don't have an assigned space. Parking in the garage is included here, and I have a reserved space on the same floor as my apartment. So my experience is not the same as some of these negative comments...I love it here. read more

Where to start? On 12/31/24 I submitted a maintenance request with pictures about a dead mouse found in the dishwasher. I don't know how long it had been there, but it was clearly a long time. The thought washing & rinsing dishes through contaminated dish water is sickening. I decided to go the leasing office to ensure they received my maintenance request. The person I spoke with assured me that maintenance would come and take care of the issue. It is now 1/02/25 and maintenance has not shown up yet. I had to get a wet vac and remove the dead mouse myself. I subsequently put in maintenance request for pest control since finding mice droppings under the kitchen sink. There is a litany of other issues but the mouse in the dish washer is the most egregious. I agree with other reviews on this page regarding management who are apathetic at best. Not bad, not great either. My roommate and I moved in after getting a good deal at The Villas, The Views' newer apartments. The problems with the staff started before we even finalized the lease. When we received the lease to sign, it had the wrong address. When I brought this up to the leasing staffs attention, they begrudgingly sent me a new with the correct address. The apartments look nice in the outside, but the inside was poorly built. Light switches didn't work, walls paper thin, and the living area is laid out poorly. Maintenance is a joke. They furloughed some of them and blamed the pandemic for it. Requests would take weeks to fulfill and often not done correctly, resulting in multiple follow ups. If you're looking for a reasonable priced apartment and don't mind paper thin walls and rude staff, then I would recommend. other than that, spend the extra money and go somewhere else. read more

Live here, where they let residents go a week without air conditioning. Or a week with a broken kitchen sink. Or they illegally start an eviction process and all you get is a "sorry." If you want a stressful apartment living experience, definitely try this place out. read more

If you are looking for a better place to live and wanting to make your money worth for what you are paying for, than avoid The View At Mill Run, stay away from this property. On Thanksgiving day, I placed an emergency order maintenance, because of TOILET CLOGGED, on my apartment. The maintenance person on duty stated that it's not an emergency issue, he advised to closed the bathroom door and keep the toilet covered. Regardless if my apartment stink shit while having a Thanksgiving dinner with my family. He reconfirmed it is not an emergency issue. What else can I expect from maintenance team... read more

I've only been here since May (so only about 2 months) but so far I love my apartment! It's spacious and quiet. I never hear my neighbors. Everyone from the maintenance staff, to the leasing office, to my neighbors are very friendly. The only complaint I'd honesty say I have so far is that the other night the fire alarm went off for 3 hours at 2:45am (no fire thankfully), but the fire dept couldn't get it to turn off and because of that the elevator is not working. I find the climate of this particular property DECLINING! When I first moved here almost two years ago this place was a great place to live, in fact I moved here because the previous property I lived at was having some issues with fixing the heat in my unit, the aesthetics of the property was declining, and management was getting worse by the day. Fast forward to being at your establishment for almost two years and I am very upset with how things are being handled. 1)The current staff (Alexis Lee and others whose names I am unaware of) treat the tenants in very disrespectful manners and tones. They lose packages and do not care and act so nonchalant about doing so. 2) On NUMEROUS occasions I have called the office on weekends and have been right in the lobby, watching them watch the phone ring and not answer it; meanwhile they were sitting at their coworkers desk showing them whatever on their cell phones. It is not in the company's best interest to have those who treat good paying tenants in the office. I miss Maria and the other staff, they were always so pleasant and I have never faced/dealt with what I currently experience. 3)This past weekend I was going out of town for the day on Sunday and I sat the trash out to be collected only because I was leaving shortly before collection time, then I was hit with a $25 collection fee. Well how inconsiderate to do such a thing when they don't even keep the trash chute cleaned properly for someone to enter it. Secondly, I pay my rent every month on time, never been assessed a late fee, eviction notice, etc. why wasn't I given a grace notice/warning? Nope, I was simply slapped with a fee and I had to call the office to find out why there was an extra $25 on my amount due this month! 4)Management will say they are going to call back, but they don't. My significant other has been laid off due to COVID-19 and I have sent SEVERAL requests for help with rent/what assistance is offered to tenants during this time frame only to be ignored. Mind you during all of this we still haven't missed out on our rent nor paid late. If this type of Property Management continues, I am sure you will begin losing tenants. Be very mindful of whom you put in management positions at your locations and what their personalities, etc. are like. It is no wonder your rating on YELP is 2 stars, look at whom you have working in the office. STAY AWAY!!!! read more

Where to begin. First, the leasing office is incredibly unprofessional and rude. Specifically Sharday, who does not return calls nor emails when attempting to reach her. I reached out and left my name and phone number over the course of 3 business days and she did not call me back. Only after I sent a stern email detailing all of the horrendous problems attempting to rent a community in this complex did she decide to call me back. When attempting to explain the reasoning over the phone, she became loud and hung up on me in the middle of our conversation. Long story short, this complex wasted my time over the course of 2 weeks making me submit multiple applications just to deny me for false reasons. They claimed to say I have insufficient income to meet the requirements to rent a $1,500 monthly rent apartment, which is false based on the pay stubs and offer letter I provided to them. Secondly, the very first apartment I applied to on their official website was not actually available. 30 minutes after I paid the $250 holding fee + $25 applicant fee, I received a call from Sharday stating that their was an error on their side and the apartment should have been taken down from the website and not listed. After a few days I received my $250 holding fee back, yet the complex is refusing to compensate me for my $25 application fee. Why would I be responsible for the $25 application fee for an apartment that was never actually available, and for an application that should never have been submitted because of the communities error? Sharday has by far been the worst employee in a customer facing role I have ever dealt with, and is a poor reflection on the community as a whole. She even claimed to have forwarded all of the information I provided her to her manager so the manager could reach out to me and help sort it out. The manager never did reach out to me. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND MONEY AND DO NOT RENT HERE. It may look nice from the outside, but the employees and leasing office are awful. read more

The area and the updated apartments are nice but please do not be fooled. I have been here for almost a year and I can tell you the only thing they know how to do right is place a late rent notices on your door. saldy... There was a time when my roommate and I were taking cold shower for about an month. I have never live in an apartment complex before, so when the problem first began I thought that it was normal for the hot to run out. But then I thought about it again as my shower time became shorter and shorter every day; this is an apartment not a house, there's only two of us showering I am not sure why we were taking less than 10min showers. I did not want to come off as always complaining...Not to mention for the first month and a half the pervious persons who lived here mail was being put into my mailbox until someone simply changed the name inside of my mailbox so the mail person knew.. Something so simple took a month and a half. Anywho back to the water situation, I called one weekend about the water I got no answer. I did put it off and than called the next weekend, nothing I wasn't sure why no one was answering the phone because it was after 10:30am going on 11am. The saturday I called five times back to back. Next weekend I called and was put through to the people off site that helps with the maintenance scheduling, whoever I spoke with put in a ticket for someone to come out. THEY NEVER CAME OUT! Two weeks went by, I then had a day off from work so I had a chance to go down to the office. I spoke with this young lady. She seemed just concerned as I was but if that was the case it should have been fixed. To make this short, someone on call came out two hours later and did nothing , he didn't even stay for long. As I mentioned I was taking less then 10min shower. I turned the water on so he could see for his self, he left and told me to call the front desk because someone else was going to come out and look at it, he told me that he was only on call..Which I did, gave them the time it took for the hot water to run out. The times were 2:46pm-2:53pm. I stayed home all day waiting for someone to come back out, I changed my day all around thinking someone was coming. NO ONE CAME ONCE AGAIN! During the next week someone came tested the water and fixed it. But When I was only My third month with living here, a late rent notice was places on my door with incorrect information on there. The date of 6th, incorrect money amounts and put on my door on the 8th. Overall I am pissed with this place. My mail is now being put into my neighbors mailbox because of similar spelling of the last name. SIMILAR, pay attention so now important mail that I have been waiting a month for and had sent out to me twice is just either sitting or going to waste. I don't mean to ramble just giving an honest heads up. The gentlemen William, that answers the phone some times is always a pleasure to speak with. The ladies are okay when their not on their periods, excuse my language but it's the truth. Move here at your own risk lol it's beautiful though. I called for a week straight with no response by email or by phone then come to find out my application was denied because of a 6% difference to income for a 2/2 basically i would need to be making 80,000$ during a pandemic while relocating. Omg where can I start at I been living here 6 months now me & my husband, the property manager (Kalee, ) her attitude is awful, horrible don't know how to talk to people or treat people, I'm 52year old lady & I don't need to be treated like this nor talk to I'm calling to let her know the building hallways are dirty & need to be vacuum she told me if I have vacuum I can do it myself, I'm like wth , I'm paying 1527.00 for the property manager to talk to my like trash & tell me go clean the hallway I meet this young lady I'm saying to myself I'm old enough to your mom , if you can't handle the public don't work for the public, the view at mill run in owingmills md are nice , but managerment , but Maria is awesome she goes above & beyond, super nice vet respectful always have a smile on her face, she makes you feel welcome.. My boyfriend and I are in our late 20s and moved to the area from out of state for work. After searching numerous apartment options we decided on the View at Mill Run and I am so happy we did. The apartments are spacious, new, and maintenance comes within 24hrs of you submitting a request online. One parking spot in the garage comes with the apartment and they give you one extremely close to your door. We had heard parking outside was bad but figured we would try just the one and see. (You can pay for an additional spot in the garage and everything outside is first come first serve) There has NEVER not been a spot for one of us outside and the walk is really not bad. Right before our recent blizzard the office was great about giving out guest spots in the garage and extending the limit beyond the traditional three days. My boyfriends car didn't have a single snowflake on it!! The fitness center and clubhouse are really nice but I do wish the clubhouse and office are open more hours. With our work schedule it can become tricky to pick up packages. Depending on the floor you live on, I have see residents make messes in the halls and not alert housekeeping. This is your home, and not a hotel where they come clean up after you every day. I blame that on residents. We actually made a mess ourselves dragging our Christmas tree outside and put in a request for it and it was cleaned up! It was also eerily silent when we moved in in the fall which we loved, and we now do have some loud residents but it hasn't become anything worth complaining about yet. Don't do it.. DON'T DO IT.. We applied here AT THE VIEW AT MILL RUN...upsetting the entire PROCESS. We applied online we received an Portal Approval.. FALSE ADVERTISMENT on the PORTAL.. it's really not an approval, this is how the Apartment gets your $275.00. We were happy until we talk with a young lady at the Leasing office. She has no knowledge of her job. We called stating we were approved. She stated the Approval is not An Approval we're thinking like ok. So we submitt everything Salary.. ID.. she still stating congratulations which apartment would you like so we tell her and she continues. She stated she would get back to us. We wait... and wait... wait... mind you we gave her a deposit of 275.00. After you fill out the application you must submitt this amount. We did not here from her until we contacted her 4 days later. She kept stating my manager must look everything over. We're like ok. She loves just to here herself rumble on. She stated the Approval you received requires us to look further and it says approval but we have to approve it. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.. on the Portal.. she goes on to say she had left several messages, SHE DID NOT..she stated because she couldn't get in contact with us that our Application only last 5 days and therefore it's not approved.. SAY WHAT !!!!!! SHE STATED WE CANNOT REFUND YOUR YOUR DEPOSIT BECAUSE WE FAILED TO RESPOND TO HER VOICE MAIL. NO VOICE MAIL WAS LEFT AT ALL. I didn't want to hear anymore I was so confused I ask for my refund and have not received it yet it's been 2 Months now. The Management SUCKS no one is aware of their JOBS they need to be trained. I loved the neighborhood when I first moved in then it went to shit when the assistant manager left and was replaced with someone incompetent. There are a lot of section 8 tenants into these so-called luxury apartments. Trash everywhere, dog poop everywhere, sunflower seed shells up and down the hallways, and office staff with poor communication that are unable to articulate answers to what most would think are easy questions. After residing in four different apartments, in three different cities and two states over the last couple of years, The View at Mill Run has hands down been the best experience. We are leaving this month and have resided here over the last year. To start, the leasing office staff, especially Jenna, Maria, and Shanae, have been helpful and accommodating throughout our lease term. They helped us with anything from package pickup, maintenance requests, lease addendums, and everything in between. The maintenance staff is also the best I have experienced. They completed any maintenance request usually within one to two days and were always friendly/helpful. During the winter months, they would be up early clearing the snow covered sidewalks. Also, they often waved and said hello to the tenants...top notch customer service. The apartment complex is quiet and backs up to a nature preserve which has great views (especially from the 4th floor). We enjoyed walking our dogs around the complex and on the sidewalks that line Dolfield Blvd. All of the building are connected as well as the garage which makes it easy to get to the mailroom, gym, leasing office, and your car without having to go outside. Another plus is the new "Amazon Hub" for 24/7 package pickup. Every apartment complex has its cons, I'll mention two here briefly. Perhaps the biggest complaint is the amount of dog waste left on the sidewalks, grass, and in the garage. There are waste bags and trash cans located everywhere on the property, so there is no excuse for people not to pick up after their pets. The leasing office has addressed this through emails and other methods, however people still refuse to clean up...perhaps laziness? Another downside for me would be the disregard people have for the attached garage. It clearly states "Residents Only," however people continue to park without permits, in reserved spots, and park in visitor parking when they clearly have a permit for the garage. There are posted towing signs everywhere but people seem to ignore them. With all that being said, I still consider The View at Mill Run to be the best apartment experience I've had. Unfortunately we have to relocate due to job prospects, otherwise I would be renewing the lease! read more

I'm annoyed bc I arrived at the complex at 5:10. The building requires key entry, which I actually love, but by the time the attendant opened the door, it was 5:15. I wanted to see the apartment, but she let me know that she wouldn't be able to give one because it was too close to closing time. It rubbed me the wrong way, especially considering that their weekday hours don't start until 9:30, which is when most people are already at work or traveling to work. I considered her response poor customer service, especially being as though the tour would've only taken me about 15 min to compete, as I already know what I'm looking for. read more

I would recommended The view at mill run to those looking to live in a nice apartment complex. About a year ago I moved here for a new job and knew very little of the area. After a lot of research I found that this seemed to be one of the safer areas in close proximity to my new job. (This is still more of a city then where I am from and crime does exist you just have to have common sense). I struggle a little with the cost of living here, but I feel safe which is very important to me. The office staff are always nice and willing to help with any questions you may have. The rooms have great finishes and lots of open space which is quite beautiful, guest of mine always comment on how nice of a place it seems and I do agree with them. Yes as others have noted the hallways to smell and are a bit messy at times because of the Valet trash service, I'm sure some like this, but if a different service was available (possibly one that even cost less) it could help resolve the smell issue. Overall, however, this is one of the nicest places I have lived and enjoy being a resident here with a 24/7 gym, secured building, garage parking close to my room, it is all quite amazing. read more

I've had the best experiences thus far. And have decided to renew my lease. The view has its pros and cons and I believe most residents feel the same way. It is not the office staff or management it's this area and demographic. Owings Mills in her real has decreased due to the population increasing. More and more city residents are moving to Owings mills and it shows not only in the communities but even in stores and shopping centers. Maintenance, well Evan and Gustavo are always very efficient, there is a man who does a great job cleaning up outside I've seen him clean up so much dog poop and trash just left from residents who don't care! My apartment is beautiful and spacious and I love the pool! Office staff members are extremely understanding and never talk down at you which im sure we all can appreciate. The office manager is a young professional black woman who I feel handles property matters very well she's always available to talk in person or on the phone and considering the demographic of people that live here. William and Alexus are always very friendly and go above and beyond to assist me with my packages. I did have an incident where a package was either stolen or misplaced by the carriers however shortly after there was an email that went out saying management had cameras installed so the office is obviously listening and trying. I think some of the negative reviews on here are a bit dramatic, clearly you've never worked in property management before because the comments are about things other residents are doing wich who can really control the actions of other people especially when nobody knows WHO stole the package or WHO is letting there dog poop and not cleaning it up. I give the property 5 stars!! if we were judging Owings mills or the residents definitely 2 stars lol. read more

I have lived here for over 6 years and I would absolutely not recommend renting here. There are multiple issues that I have complained about and nothing has been done. There is a definite problem here with drug use. The top floor of the parking lot consistently has people doing drugs in their cars. This used to happen in the parking lot on the side of the building however since this is not accessible for parking they have moved to the parking garage. There are people smoking pot in the stairwells. Keep in mind that I have complained multiple times and nothing was done. The room that has the trash shoot is always filthy, trash bags on the floor and smells terrible. The trash cans on the side of the building are always overflowing so people just dump their trash everywhere. The room on the second floor that has the Amazon lockers has packages laying all over the floor and the key pad to get into the room has broken for months. My own packages have been stolen and I have spoken with other tenants that have said the same. The hallways are dirty and smell like trash. When you call the office rarely does someone actually answer the phone and if you leave a voice mail you are lucky if your call is returned days later. The management is terrible now. The new apartments that have been built in the front do not even have their own mail boxes yet. I was told they would not until the clubhouse is built. Very poor planning. On multiple occasions I have come home to find police cars in the courtyard. There is no security here. The garage is supposed to be secure however the security to get into the garage with the key fab is always broken so anyone can enter. I will not be renewing my lease again. read more

This property is so-called luxury. I beg to differ, the upkeep and maintenance is horrible. The carpet is always dirty, the stairwells are filthy. Parking is a nightmare for residents, they are affiliated with a towing company named C&S and the are running a scam on the residents. Cars are towed everyday at a cost of $264.00 initially and $32.00 additionally daily. The maintenance team does not have any quality control mechanisms in place, it takes them more than a week to correct issuse. The club house is not available at all after 5pm, we pay for the clubhouse and work during the hours it is open, when we get off of work it is not available for it's residents. read more
