However, a friend got stood up, so I came in to fill the spot. First, I have to say this is definitely a nice little spot tucked into Homewood. It sits right in the heart of its town-ish downtown area and really completes that "where to go and meet the locals" vibe. The staff is always nice, and the drinks are always strong. Honestly, I would love to have something like this in the South Loop, but at the same time, I think part of what makes it work is exactly where it is. The main floor is comfortable and accessible, with loveseats, bar stools, and plenty of space to settle in. It falls just a hair short of having that comfortable neighborhood restaurant feel, just without the restaurant or the food. The cool part is that you can bring in food from any of the local places down the street, which fits perfectly with the whole neighborhood atmosphere. Then there's the basement speakeasy, which has an entirely different feel and is easily one of my favorite parts of the place. Overall, this is one of those places that reminds you that you don't always have to head into the city to find a great night out. It's comfortable, welcoming, has plenty of personality, and feels like it belongs exactly where it is. If you're in the south suburbs and looking for a place to grab a strong drink, meet up with friends, or just settle in and enjoy the evening, this should absolutely be on your list.

When you first walk in, there is the bar with comfy seating at the bar and lounge area. The concert was downstairs so staff guides you where to go when coming in. Concert was fantastic and pricing was excellent for all what we got that night. The mood setting is nice downstairs for a concert. I had a lemondrop from the bar which was really good. Karaoke was on a school night. A DJ controls the Karaoke selections using Karafun. There were about 8 of us there. The DJ was playing good music in between if you wanted to take the mic and sing. Our group individually sang a few songs. It would be nice to have more of an enthusiastic audience, that is what we are used to at other venues. All in all, this is a great spot. This Friday the club was completely empty, even after 11p. The location for the club is great because it's inside Hollywood Casino Joliet, the drinks are well made, and well priced, and the club is very swanky and comfortable. The problem is that nobody knows it's there. Hollywood Casion is pretty much in the middle of nowhere so unless you like to gamble your not likely to have seen the advertisements for Reve. Furthermore, Hollywood Casino Joliet tends to attract a much older crowd than the usual clubbing crowd. I think Hollywood Casino would have been better off putting the club in smaller, but much more urban Aurora location, but alas they did not. I'd really like to see Reve succeed so I hope that Hollywood Casino does a better job marketing it in the future, but It's not worth the 25 mile trip out there yet. Especially since there are several other casinos much closer to home.

Comfortable, friendly, great variety of tobacco flavors and qualities available and good prices. Drinks are also good but I didn't have a chance to try any of the food available. I think what I liked the best was the atmosphere, I'm sure my friend had to reserve or maybe the fact that we arrived a bit early help because at the beginning the place was at a moderate vacancy but by the end of the night all available seating was taken. Their furniture arrangement is also great as it allowed us to bring three tables together and arrange seating around it for a fairly large group so we were all together instead of spread apart.
