Do NOT get married here. The venue is very pretty, but organizationally, they are a complete mess…read more We were trapped into it with lofty promises and a deposit of half the whole cost. There was no communication between staff, poor communication between the management and us as clients, employees were unsure of their own roles and our provided "day of coordinator" had zero idea how to coordinate a wedding and I as the bride had to keep the day moving and tell her what to do next. (Even though we came up with a typical schedule together.) The management didn't know the size of the tables available at this location, and at our rehearsal the day before our wedding, we were told that we had to redo our whole seating chart because the tables were actually smaller than we knew. The food was brought up all the way from Sacramento in a U-haul truck, which was visible to the ceremony site during the ceremony. Half of our guests got sick afterwards. The food menus they gave to us to select catering from did not reflect what was actually available either. The chef took our selections down with a sticky note, and they lost that sticky note. They had to call us to confirm our choices. Choices we had to change AGAIN because the menu changed again. I even had to fight to have a decorated cake, and even then it ended up being extremely minimalist by design. More than once our wedding detail consultation dates had to be changed in favor of weddings that were much larger than our smaller event. They basically left our event planning to the very last minute. 2 months in advance. We spent $500 on liquor and sodas for people who didn't care for our pre-fabricated signature drinks (old fashioned's and French 75's) but the venue provided bartender never even touched those supplies. Instead, he opened up all of our red wine bottles at once, giving no thought for guest demand. We had to throw out half of the untouched wine bottles at the end of the night. Our guests had ZERO idea that there were more drink options. Please save yourselves and get married somewhere else. We are haunted by this experience.

I had a few ideas of how I wanted the night to go and Sue helped to make that possible at her gorgeous log cabin venue. I had quite a few things to set up and Sue allowed us in early to take care of the setup so we weren't rushing and stressed right before the event. The holiday decor was transformed from Christmas trees to classy and elegant whites and golds for my event colors/theme. Everything was beautiful and the tri-tip buffet was delicious!! I would love to have another event at the Sierra Banquet Center! Thank you Sue (and your team) for all that you did to make my dads celebration so memorable!

I had a DIY budget wedding, and never in a million years did I think I could have my wedding at such a beautiful location. Rami worked with me and we were able to make the ceremony fit in my price range! The week before my wedding, rain was covering the forecast. I though for sure that we were going to have to move my ceremony indoors. Dave and I messaged/called back and forth creating a back-up plan for my wedding. It got to the point where my back-up plan sounded just as beautiful as my outdoor plan - I wasn't saddened by the thought of rain at all! It didn't end up raining, so we got to have our beautiful ceremony outdoors. Dave even saved the leftover flower arrangements from the wedding the day before us in their large refrigerator, and gifted them to us! We would have paid hundreds of dollars for arrangements like those. Not many occasions where your vendor will go out of their way to think about your special day and save/gift things to you. The extra greenery made my ceremony that much more stunning. They also let me use their GORGEOUS bridal suite for a few hours before the wedding, even though it wasn't in our original agreement. They honestly just wanted us to have an amazing day. You could tell they aren't money-driven. They just love what they do. All-in-all, I can't recommend enough. Rami and Dave made my special day more than I ever imagined, and Cielo Estate Winery is stunning.

It truly is an upscale, ethereal garden and it brought my Sailor Moon-inspired dreams to life. It was a little bit surprising for the uninitiated, since we never knew a few things like how we need to add vendor counts to our catering totals or that music had to be off by 9:00 PM. But I want to reassure anyone else made nervous by these things that all of that was totally not a big deal, and actually a blessing in disguise on all counts! I also really enjoyed having Lynn being present on the grounds and a part of our wedding. She is so sweet and I heard from several guests how much they loved her and what a treasure she is. Previously, my then-fiancé and I had been to a wedding somewhere else where the staff were rude to us and other guests. We never told the couple about it because we didn't want to put a cloud over their day, but the result was that we became very nervous about our own guests potentially experiencing something like that. It was such a relief to hear how much our guests loved Lynn! She also helped me with a timing issue I had starting the ceremony, so that was a big help and support that I don't think we would have gotten anywhere else. Having our wedding at The Gardens was a dream come true and we know we made the best possible decision. I'm sure others have already gushed about having the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception at one location or the incredible bridal salon or the fact that there's so many hotel options within walking distance, so I'll leave it at that and just say that you will really love this venue if you're planning for an outdoor event!

From the linens to the décor, super luxurious accommodations set amongst acres of vineyards, each suite with it's own private deck overlooking Tuscany-style views in the heart of Amador wine country. Our host, Linda, made an incredible stay that much more homey. Each morning's breakfast was a feast, seated outside on the covered patio with stunning views. The meals were uber fresh (filling enough that we skipped lunch both days!). Every day around 5 you're treated to wine and cheese. Perfect location to wine taste on property or venture out to the growing number of top rated wineries. Walk amongst the vineyards or take out one the beach cruisers or trikes for a ride around. At night, the fire pits are a nice touch, or just lounge on you private deck for a sunset and a moonset. Looking forward to our return!
