From the moment we toured 413 we were enraptured by its unique beauty. Stepping up to the building…read moreyou can tell it's a well preserved historic building. Walking in you find a room for the bride to prepare as well as Britty's office. We hadn't realized it yet, but you go down a level to get to the main space which we thought was so unique to 413. Going down in the elevator we had no idea what to expect and we were completely blown away!! There's exposed brick, pipes, color changing interior lights, designated bar space as well as a stage. Plus there's a bathroom downstairs and on the main level, with spots for a gift table and wedding book/favor table. The space holds up to 200, and we ended up having about 196 and it didn't feel tight or as though there was a lack of room. Britt herself is amazing, so full of information about the space and how to have a successful wedding reception. She had great reccomendations for other vendors and we got so many compliments on our wedding!! We used her reccomended bar setup, Dj and even s'mores vendor which all made our day beyond perfect! People came out of the woodwork after our wedding to ask about 413 and how we found so an amazing place! They have chiavari chairs and large tables that hold up to 12 people, and she even gives options for how you want your main table to be! I would have my wedding there over and over and over again! The rooftop photos turned out stunning, our vendors were all reccomended by Britty and were amazing and our whole day was unforgettable! When you visit the website, a few of our pictures were even used to show off 413 and the amazingness of the area!

I recently attended an event at 413 on Wacouta and was very pleased at the experience. Lynne, our…read moreevent planner, helped streamline the process every step of the way, from planning and rehearsing to the execution of the actual event. The space in the Gilbert building in downtown St Paul is intimate, warm, and inviting. Molded tiles adorned the ceiling and a beautiful Tiffany-style light fixture provided glowing illumination and a centerpiece to pull the room together. The room felt small at first glance, but was more than adequate for the 120 people attending the function I was at. The reception hall on the lower level was just as perfect. Everyone mixed and mingled happily while live music played and hors d'oeuvres were served. I was especially fond of the bruschetta we ate and how fresh it tasted. The staff was very accommodating and helpful throughout our event, with the head server asking about timing of serving each course and adjusting for the needs of our group's event. A great time was had by all, due not only to the beautiful event space, but also to the wonderful staff at 413! I'd recommend this venue for your next event

I have not met someone who is more understanding, professional, diligent, and calming. We had a large wedding of over 300 people and they all fit wonderfully. We were able to utilize the gorgeous outdoor garden for our wedding ceremony as well as our social hour. I was worried when I looked at the outdoor space, that not all 300+ guests would fit, or that it would be crammed and uncomfortable. However, it exceeded our expectations! The flowers were beautiful, the white gazebo was so pretty against the dark green grass, and bright flowers. The outdoor area, was really beautiful and fit our summer garden themed wedding. We were able to have an outdoor bar in the garden for guests to use and mingle as they walked around and enjoyed the summer evening. With 300+ people, space was very important for us. We needed an space that would fit that many people, but also allow enough room for guests to move around. The last thing we wanted was for them to be crammed in and tripping over chairs to get a drink. The ballroom accommodated them beautifully. The dance floor is HUGEE!!! Something like 2,000 sq feet! But believe me, our guests used it! The dance floor was always filled with people young and old. It was nice to have enough room for everyone to dance around. No one stepping on others feet. Another important aspect to us, was the bars! Of course! We really did not want people to be waiting in long lines to get a beverage. Withrow has two bars, and both were fully staffed, and were able to serve our guests quickly and efficiently. Another great thing about Withrow is that it fits with almost every theme. We chose a summer-garden theme, with a flare. We did Blinged out vases, with LED lights inside, and hydrangeas. We had rose petal and diamond scatter, with black table clothes and white chair covers! It looked fabulous! I also saw pictures of other weddings with many different themes. One with a simple fall centerpiece, another glammed out. The Ballroom can adapt to any theme and blends in perfect to any decor. Overall, Withrow was the perfect venue for us, nothing too fancy or upitty, just a genuinely UNIQUE and historical venue. The best part is that ALL of our guests had a great time, and felt at home. I still don't think I have seen a wedding with more people on the dance floor with smiles on their faces. Any time multiple guests describe your wedding as "Magical" you know you did something right! Thanks Pam for all your help!

They're vibey as hell. The only thing that left a little to be desired was the ballroom. For all the character and charm the rest of the place had, the ballroom left a lot to be desired. They are currently building another venue on the property called Equestria West that will be live in May. They're redoing the parking lot, so it should be ample! My daughter and son-in-law had their reception at Bavaria Downs on June 5th, 2021, originally…read morescheduled for April 18th, 2020. When we first walked through the front door, we fell in love with it. Our wedding planner was Melissa and she was awesome! She worked with us to create a timeline. We felt confident that we were in good hands and that the staff at Bavaria would assure that everything went smoothly. Melissa left Bavaria and we were assigned a new planner, Hannah. Our photographer, videographer, DJ and florist were arranged with Bellagala. A few months out, we were informed the photographer was no longer able to be there. We had to find another photographer. About a month before, my daughter discovered that the videographer had left Bavaria and we were never told. Luckily, we found another videographer. The day of the reception went great despite a couple hiccups. When we arrived at 8:00a.m., I told Hannah we had one less table and which table number should be removed. She did not relay this information and the table was set up. At our table, we were short two place settings. Not huge deals, but annoying. The real problems came at the end of the evening. According to our timeline, the bar closed at 10:30, the wedding couple would depart at 10:45 and the DJ would announce for the guests to head outside to send the couple off. At about 10:40, things were still going strong. Bar was serving, people were dancing and I saw no signs of things wrapping up other than staff removing all the table decorations onto carts, while the ballroom was still filled with guests. I found a girl taking down decorations and asked here who was in charge. I asked her if the hired car was there and she went to check. It was not and she did not have the contact info for the driver that I had given Hannah. I scrambled to find a car to drive the couple. It was chaos and very stressful. Eventually, the bar stopped serving and the DJ moved people outside for the sendoff, but much behind schedule. Things did not go smoothly. We were told that the bar would not serve obviously intoxicated people. They did. We said we did not want bartenders to serve shots. They did. And, a bartender told a guest "I take bribes if you want the whole bottle" (of wine). We were told that Bavaria staff would make sure shuttles and limo were on schedule and there, hence providing driver contact info. We were told the Bavaria team would take care of everything and we could relax and enjoy the reception. At the end, they failed. I called the Operations Director and Senior Event Planner to let them know and was really disappointed in their response. The Senior Event Planner apologized that "a few elements of bar service that night were outside of what you were expecting". The Operations Director said " we all strive to keep the wedding day timeline, but in most weddings the day becomes somewhat organic". There was no-one striving to keep the wedding day timeline at the end of the evening. I do not feel that my complaints were really heard and cared about. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. I was really sad and disappointed that the day had to end as it did.

We found them on the Knot and WeddingWire and we actually just live up the street from the venue so we knew what it would look like inside. Your event will probably go off without a hitch. If you are a bride that likes glamour and things done in a big way---this will probably be a venue you will want to check out. I am more about quality and substance vs. quantity and showiness therefore I can only give it a three stars based on my likes and dislikes. I recently attended an event there and for the money that was spent a few things I would have been disappointed in was the sound quality indoors and outdoors. --How close the chairs were outside--they are small seated chairs and unless you have the ass of a child they did not need to be touching because most adults need the room on the side of the chair for some overflow. The food---I had steak and others had the chicken and fish and one vegetarian had pasta...the feedback on all of it was not that good! These plates are all right around 32-38 per plate so at that price you would expect delicious food. I think the quality of the food was there and it had more to do with the preparation vs. the product itself. The staff was a little snippy with the wedding party in the afternoon when one asked if there was anyway possible they could get coffee or water--apparently this is a money making business and that was not part of the deal so they were shut down with a curt response of No-but nice try!!!! The open bar selection was boring and standard--and the glassware was not upscale. I would have expected a martini glass to be available and perhaps a few more exotic liquors and mixers just for fun. These are all areas that you can address beforehand if you choose to use this as your venue --I feel like if you are aware of some of this it can easily be enhanced for a five star experience.

Very groovy stairs in the center of the room, nice angles and attention to detail were all on point. The large hall is gorgeous, and a truly enviable wedding reception locale. The crumblesome stone walls offset the highly modern feel of the rest of the plaza. The three, rustic, arched, little niches at the one side kept the word "oubliette" pacing 'round my head all night. The upstairs bathrooms, by the bar, are WAY NICER than the rather decrepit ones by the reception hall... truly the only strong disappointment of the night. The fact that we were able to take the skywalk from our hotel was the cherry on the whipped cream on the chocolate sauce on the ice cream. Not that the wedding served ice cream.
