I learned so much about the anatomy, the technique and the procedure. Dr. Daniel was very delightful too and this definitely help calm the pre-op nerve. He should think about being a stand up comedian if he decides to retire from practicing medicine. I also like the fact that Dr. Daniel is very straight forward, fact-based and honest. He's not touch feely, which works out great for us. The doctor helped me to take my hubby downstairs himself after the operation and let us know we can contact him through his cell if there's an emergency. We hope we have great results. The important thing is to follow post op instructions. So my hubby will be stay in bed for the next couple of days and we will keep fingers crossed after that. There are many reasons why a couple still can't conceive and it's not fair to blame it on the doctor. The office environment is very clean and serene. I would recommend to have your VR done by Dr. Daniel. It definitely worths the 5 hour drive for us.

The few urologists on the Island were booked up for weeks. This facility gave me an appointment within a few days. My husband and I met with Dr. Plazak and were extremely impressed with his manner and credentials. He took the time to answer all our questions and recommended a minor surgery that none of the other urologists I have consulted over the years ever even mentioned as an option. I had the surgery two days later and have enjoyed a relief from symptoms that have plagued me for years. Our follow up visit with Dr. Plazak was equally rewarding. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Plazak.

My X-rays were looked at by his head nurse who clearly doesn't understand what constitutes an emergency. I was referred to BOSS clinic in Beaufort and was seen immediately, scheduled for surgery the day before short man would even see me. I decided to write this review after I just learned they contacted MUSC, not me, to deny me because I'm out of network. This took them A WEEK, wasting valuable time. Clearly, my life seems to have no value to them. This is unacceptable patient care and unprofessional. I can afford to pay out of pocket, but I will absolutely not give them money if this is how they treat people who need immediate care. I would advise others to avoid them as well. Cost doesn't matter when a doctor and staff show compassion and professionalism, and truly value your health and life.

I was told someone would call soon from Schulze Eye to schedule an appointment. Almost one month goes by and no word from Schulze Eye. Thinking I might have missed their call, I dropped by the office of Schulze Eye on May 7, 2026, to see if I could schedule an appointment. I met with a friendly black lady at the front desk who informed me that I had not missed a call that, in fact, the person who processes referrals has been out on leave and that she would most certainly call me within a week. That did not happen. On May 18, 2026, I received a call on my cell phone which indicated "Potential Spam". Of course, I did not answer. However, upon immediately checking my voice mail, the call was from Schultz Eye, requesting that I call them back to schedule an appointment. I called back right away and was transferred to their voice mail. I left a message with my identifying information, requesting that someone call me to schedule an appointment. Today is May 27, 2026, and I have yet to hear from anyone at Schulze Eye Center. Obviously, scheduling appointments is not a top priority at Schulze Eye and staff are not being held accountable. Such I attention to patient needs makes me question patient care at this facility. I suppose I'll be calling Low Country Eye for referral to another provider.
