Just go elsewhere..believe me. They do not accept blame for failed procedure and in the redo procedure herniated 5 disks. Had to have back surgery for that. So run read more

Our experience with this medical group was so poor that it's hard to know where to begin. My wife's first contact with them via an ER was for a kidney stone. What followed was a series of delays, miscommunications, and a complete lack of a care plan. This despite multiple calls and attempts to get appropriate treatment. After several days of inadequate support, her condition worsened into a kidney infection that required hospitalization. She ultimately received proper care from a different urologist, and after three nights in the hospital, she thankfully is recovering well. What prompted me to write this review was the final straw: five days after receiving lab results, someone from this group called in a prescription, without any explanation or communication. We only found out because our pharmacy notified us. No one from the Urology Group reached out to explain what they were prescribing or why. If you're comfortable with delayed care, poor communication, and questionable administrative practices, this may be the place for you. But if your health and standard of care matter to you, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I'd rather travel out of state than trust this group with our health. read more

Type of care and the expertise of the doctors. Receptionists were nice and some of the nurses. Lack of communication between nurses and doctors. Not a lot of info about follow up care. read more

My husband and I felt getting a second opinion would be the best course of action after being informed he'd need a partial nephrectomy. We were excited to receive an appointment with this group and our expectations were high after reading the reviews. As it turns out, second opinions from arrogant physicians are overrated and the bar should have been set much lower. First, Dr. Lark asked us WHY we came when he was already going to tell us what the first doctor told us. ??? Oops, sorry we asked for second opinion and wasted 7 minutes of your time... Dr. Lark just couldn't mentally process why we'd come to him for this second opinion. Second, Dr. Lark said it was 80/20 odds the mass on the kidney is cancer, but he wasn't sure. "I don't know what it is, but let's take it out." Then he explains how medicine is an art and no person is treated the same. I referred to it as practicing medicine and Dr. Lark stated "that's demeaning to me " and blew me off with an eye roll. Practicing medicine isn't a derogatory term, as I am also a "medical professional" and doctors have been practicing medicine long before he exited his mothers womb. I am highly doubtful Dr. Lark knows what a professional is because when I began to cry for my husband and his diagnosis, Dr. Lark replies, "y'all seem upset, I'm not understanding why". I can't imagine Dr. Lark would like to trade seats with someone who just received a cancer diagnosis, would he? Let me be clear, I don't think all people in the medical field have become callous and uncaring, because I definitely have empathy for my patients and am committed to understanding their needs and care. Not true for this doctor. Dr. Lark even made it a point to mention my husband being adopted, like he had some kind of personal insight into my husbands life. We didn't openly share that information with him and felt it was intrusive considering we stated my husband didn't know his history and let it be that. Finally, we felt Dr. Lark was annoyed that we requested a biopsy instead of opting for the surgery. Patients have the right to make decisions for themselves, and that's referred to in the medical profession as autonomy and it's exactly what we intend to do; stay informed about our care. Prior to this review, I reached out to the office manager and have not received a reply as of this writing. I'm not removing the review so please don't reach out via this page. You could have easily called me back, but chose not to. Sincerely, one disgusted RN, wife and last time visitor. read more

I am a previous patient from 10+ years ago and I was a big advocate for the quality of care. Dr Michael Dusing is the only and only reason I chose to go back for a new issue. The Office and Care staff are both rude and their follow through is terrible. Their patient portal is the worse I have ever experienced. No results of tests posted in a timely manner. Will follow through with my care via Dr Dusing but will hold my nose when entering their office. read more

The worst medical practice group I've ever seen, the staff is rude and u professiona. They have no consideration to the patients time it's all about them. read more

Group is overall uncoordinated and subpar in regard to standard of care overall. They would benefit by having an office manager/care coordinator to communicate with patients and integrate standard of care between urologists and radiologists and oncologist. Their version of MyChart, the patient portal, is inadequate and does not provide the quality of information that is required for today's standard of care. read more

Had surgery this am and Dr Chris Cirulli did a great job. I have a kidney stone very high up in the ureter, and he had to place a stent. I used to work with Dr Cirulli years ago and he is so kind, extremely skilled and a true professional who takes pride in his work. The only neg comment is the office phones and trying to connect with people. It's just very discombobulated. I will say however, that they DO finally call back. Thank you read more

We like Dr Dusing and Molly. The care they have provided has been excellent but the admin staff is terrible. The receptionist at the Crestview hills location insulted my husband due to his hair color the moment we walked in the door. She continued to be rude for the rest of our encounter. She called the APRN and PA "extenders" rather than medical providers, refused to use their names and acted as if they don't count as providers. The surgery scheduler doesn't return phone calls. The office staff makes this location extremely unprofessional and unpleasant. The medical providers are excellent. read more

I will never go back to Urology Group or Mercy Fairfield. I was in hospital with a kidney stone that was imbedded, almost went septic yet doctors trying to release me daily. I refused to go home until the blood cultures came back and on day 3 doctors said yeah you are not going anywhere - you are septic. Dr Love put a kidney stent in to allow the embedded stone to pass over a month. I then had kidney stent taken out by Dr Love. Those procedures were fine but the aftercare is where they are the worst in the business. Not only do I have two insurances that I told the front office with each of my 4 visits they must bill primary and secondary but not electronically as it is employer funded they must bill old school process. They did not listen and sent me to collections and 8 months later I spoke to Urology billing they stated we do not even have your secondary insurance on file. I went in for a routine follow up with Dr Love and my urine came back with blood in it so he sent out for further testing. During this visit Dr Love told me if there is high levels of blood in urine then we will need to get a CT Scan with and without contrast of my bladder. So my urine results came back with high levels of blood and epitheal cells- both can be markers of early bladder cancer. Results hit mychart on a Friday so I thought I will wait and Dr Love will call me on Monday. No calls. I called his office Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and they said he was out of the office that week but his asst Doc Anderson would call back. Thursday an entire week after I had my results and no calls from either doctor, I said at least schedule the CT Scan Dr Love told me would need if the blood levels were high in my urine. That was scheduled and I got those results in mychart again and no doctor follow up from Dr Love or Anderson. I called two weeks later and said how is that okay two different results not good even but no calls back from either doctor? They said you are in collections so you have to pay before you are seen again. Re-read the above. I have two insurances and they did not file correctly with my secondary or primary. So rather than treat me as a human being that tests I had to beg for all point to bladder cancer they decide to treat me as cattle and since they did not file my two insurances correctly and they did not get paid yet- they only care about money over people! read more

Had a great experience with Michael Dusing, MD in Crestview. He was very informative and gave me some options to consider for treatment. The staff was very friendly and caring. Courtney Hall at check-in was cheerful and a pleasure to talk too. Good luck Courtney with your first week at the Urology Group. It was easy to get my next appointment and Kristin was great while I checked my calendar a few times to make sure I didn't have any conflicts on that date. Great job everyone. read more

I am the advocate for my parents. My dad is a patient of Urology group. I have MULTIPLE calls into the PAs & Dr Cirulli over the last two weeks w/ no returns calls. While I have understand priorities of patients, a call to set expectations would be appropriate. read more

I have been going to the Urology Group before it formalized...starting with Dr Ratledge, Henning, Cordell. Never ever until I started this past Fall (only bcuz dr I wanted wasn't available & I was having issues & Dr Cordell is retired) have I had issues with UG. The Dr has no bedside manner in my opinion-felt like I was just a # & I still do; I have to call to get my results & multiple times& then the ofc calls sometimes a few times w/results...don't they check?! Then they say they call in the script. Nope! Then they call in a script to the pharmacy I was at on vac. I hv to deal with getting that fixed. I'm told taken off my chart; nope. After 2 more calls still on there. Is it really gone. Well here I am again. Results. No script called in. I'm calling ofc when it opens. The portal while in progress tells you nothing. It's all medical terms. Write in layman's terms and show you ordered script and what it is and where etc. Look at MyChart etc for ideas! After I make this call & get this script I'm changing to the Dr within UR I wanted in the first place at the location I wanted and went to in the first place. Otherwise I would've rated UR a 10! read more

Most of staff is rude, stuck up, and not helpful at all. Especially certain nurses. Constantly feel like I'm being judged the whole time I'm there. Will never make a call on the weekend again, very rude on call doctor made me cry. This place needs more doctors, it takes forever to get an appt and they have too strict of appt time policy and act like nothing ever happens that can make you late and you still have to wait an hour to see someone once you get there. They do not care if you are in pain or have a condition where you need constant medication. I like doctor cirulli but he's too busy and I always feel rushed. I have to think about everything I need to say before I see him so I can say it fast enough before he leaves. I would go somewhere else if my condition wasn't too much to explain and this is the closet location to me. read more

My medication went bad, it is liquid, and had crystals form in it. So I called in to get another prescription. (this is not a controlled substance, you can actually go online and fill out a form, and get a prescription from an online pharmacy.) The person that answered, talked to the doctor, and I was told that I would have to see the doctor again before they would write it. I requested a teleconference with the doctor, since my wife and I are both high risk for covid. They refused, and said it had to be in person, and that appointments are 6 weeks out. I've had prescriptions run out with my general doctor, and they simply make an appointment, and call in a prescription to last until the appointment. Not here. They want to be paid first. This is the first practice I've ever been to that put the dollar before the patients health. I will be finding another Urologist that puts my health, and my wife's health, ahead of their greed. read more

I love my Dr. (Cirulli) and I have no issues with his nurses or staff, my beef is with the front desk and their idiotic insistence of asking you to constantly fill out paperwork each and every time you come in and each and EVERY time they want your Drivers License and Insurance cards to scan. I would bet they spend untold dollars on data storage and manpower for the same thing, over, and over and over again. Most all other doctors I go to briefly ask you if you still live at your address and do you still have the same insurance and contact numbers and all is well, you are left alone. The funniest thing that happened was when they harassed me for a signature on a section of their forms for a "LIFETIME" authorization for Medicare benefits, but....they ask for this, over and over again. When I asked them to explain this to me, they told me it was so I didn't have to sign it again...so, I promptly told them, GREAT! I signed that last time, you won't ever need it again, LOL! Their insistent nature of requesting the same forms and information over and over is so darn aggravating that if it wasn't for the fact I had already established a good relationship with my Dr, there's no way I would ever go back. They have absolutely no respect for long term, repeat customers that pay their salaries. read more
