I visited this location for the first time ever on 2/21/25. Walking in the set up was so well done,…read moreI was excited to see the whole store. It is mostly clothes that I would say are fairly priced and they do have a HUGE selection. There shelves were very low on home goods and they just had a few pieces of furniture, but what they had was nice and well-staged. At the back of the store, there is an ADORABLE vintage Mickey Mouse clock. There is no signage to say price or if it is for sale or not. I assumed not, but on my way out, I did ask the two associates at the front (younger blonde-ish lady and middle-aged darker haired lady) if it happened to be for sale. I was completely fine with a no being the answer, but the darker haired lady responded "If you want to give me $1,000 you can have it." Again, I was totally fine with a no, and assumed it probably was not for sale, I just LOVE Mickey Mouse so I wanted to be sure because it isn't every day you see something so cool. I laughed a bit at the response and headed out at that point. The same clock is available on Ebay for $250, but I would have preferred Salvation Army get paid than some random person on Ebay. After leaving, a friend informed me that a majority of the items I had noticed when I walked in that were so nicely staged, are apparently also not for sale. And that staff being turned off by people asking about prices on those items often result in the same attitude back that I experienced. Again, totally fine if you don't want to sell people things, but signs would be nice or a kind response when people ask. I am a pretty firm believer in signage goes a long way, so if staff is going to be put off by people asking if something is or isn't for sale, I would recommend adding some "not for sale" signs around the store. No reason to be snarky with people asking if things are available or not. There are probably better options of places to shop and have a better experience with staff and a more straightforward shopping experience-and where you can still support great causes!

I am not a fan of spending a lot on money on clothes, so I shop with the 50% off discounts in mind and find bargains for my whole family. The staff is usually very friendly and helpful. I have found some gems in the home areas as well, but that is typically not what I'm looking for. I miss the dressing rooms, though, and would buy more if they came back. If I had any complaint, it would be that the music is entirely too loud in the shopping area. In my opinion, it should be background music and not excessively noisy. I prefer it more quiet, which allows for better thinking and a much more enjoyable shopping experience. If the staff needs the music loud in order to hear it, they could invest in a small radio near their station. Im very thankful Salvation Army Thrift Store serves our community.

I picked up a sweet handmade baby bib for a gift and could not leave without trying a "monster" cookie from a local home baker. I spent a good half hour here when I was in Lancaster, just wandering the aisles. By the time I was done, my basket was full of goodies, like granola, honey, chips and hand pies. Keller Market House sells everything from fresh-cut flowers to meat to home cleaning products to baked goods and more. They have a nice little section of fresh produce, which, when I visited, was mostly squashes, potatoes and other winter vegetables. They have lots of gluten-free goods, and I picked up some maple crunchy things as a gift for a gluten-free person I knew. The people who work here are very friendly, and the store is amazingly clean and organized. It also smells really good!

(Ex. A women's or men's fitness center "card" was $5-for the first card. I can see charging me if I lost one, but come on! At $80 a month the first one should be included. 6) Rudeness. The workers became downright rude at times. That $5 fee I mentioned above...I watched a worker pocket my $5. 7) Planet Fitness opened. Example, tape is listed at $5 but you will pay for the entire pack of 6 for $30. Bubble wrap, $50 for the entire roll even if they only use 1/2. "Travel Time" of 1hr is charged for their time to start the job and then to drive back to the lot. That is not for driving between your load/unload locations. Ended up $165 over my estimate ($500) even tho I verbally attempted to confirm as much as I could before. We waited until 10:00 AM--no movers showed up and nobody called to update us. When we called the company ourselves, we were suddenly told that our appointment had been moved to the afternoon--with no apology and no prior notice. We were told the crew would arrive around 1:30 PM. Once again, nobody showed up and no one contacted us. By 3:00 PM, we called again. The representative said they would contact the crew and that the movers would arrive within 20 minutes. Another hour passed--still nothing. We kept calling because they never called us back, and every time we called, we were told a different story. One moment the crew was "on the way," the next they "couldn't reach them," then suddenly our schedule had been changed without informing us. It was excuse after excuse. On another call, they said the driver would reach out to us directly. Another hour passed with no call. At 3:47 PM, we were told yet again that we were scheduled for the afternoon--but they never bothered to notify us at any point. We were always the ones chasing them. On our last call, we asked to speak to a manager and even confirmed if a manager was available. They said yes and attempted to transfer us, but instead they left us on hold for 30 minutes, and no one ever came on the line. They wasted our entire day and completely ruined our schedule, especially because we have major renovations starting and needed everything moved before the crew arrived tomorrow. I will never do business with this company again. They are unprofessional, unreliable, and totally disrespectful of people's time. If you come across this company, run as fast as you can.
