Very disappointing experience at this UPS Store in Flushing. Amazon's return instructions clearly stated that the item only needed to be securely packed in a box. However, the store employee insisted that I had to use the original packaging, and told me that if I needed an additional box, I would have to pay separately for the box. I understand that UPS may charge for packing services, but the problem is that the employee presented the original packaging as a requirement when Amazon's return instructions did not say that. Customers should not be pressured into paying extra for packaging based on requirements that are not actually stated in the return instructions. I would not recommend this location for Amazon returns. read more

They close on Sunday! Gets the job done if you need to make copies and get something printed black and white or color. They also sell printer paper $6 for one ream. Call to ask if you need to buy. Friendly staff, cash/credit accepted. Send them an email of your documents or you can bring in a hard copy/usb. $1.00 for the first copy then 10 cents each page (B/W), and color $1.00 for the first copy 60 cents each page (Color). 4 stars. Open for business! Some UPS stores if not all are independently operated, I never know the difference and generally service seems to vary greatly between the stores. This one was open for business promptly during this time and took a few varying return packages I had without delay. I was in and out in a jiffy which is definitely not the case generally at USPS or generally speaking at any shipping store. There seems to be one, maybe two parking spots out in front. Well, that's where you fell short of being "very compliant" with the NYC law as you claim to be. After a casual chatting, I found the manager to be both knowledgeable and trustworthy. For example, he was telling me my signature on his record book will be kept for 10 years. I was a bit hesitant to return my Amazon box here due to another review saying they charged for printing of the label, but I don't have a printer so I had no choice. However, when I arrived here, they just scanned the code on my phone and printed out the label, stuck it on the box and gave me a receipt. No fuss, no muss. I didn't have to pay for a label. This place is extremely on point. I have been to other UPS locations and the staff at those locations are always slow, BSing or had employees busy showing everyone they have street CRED or SWAGGER, with boatloads of vaseline on plump, JUICY lips, and its highly unnecessary. This location does not have that issue at all. The staff in here are so friendly, efficient, and get the work done. The staff was predominantly Asian and their strong work ethics really shows. Forget about getting A+ on your math and science tests. Its all about a strong work ethic! THEY BETTAH WERK IT!!! I had a cable modem to return. Regrettably, the actual cable location wasn't accepting walk-ins as a result of the pandemic. I am so over cable. Not paying for overpriced internet service again. Came in, and the cashier got it done so zippy and fast. It was like the cashier already memorized every key on the keyboard to hit. Talk about muscle memory! There was a musical melody to her movement. The staff in here are truly exceptional and they were like 2 blocks away from the subway station. It couldn't have been any easier. If you wanna dropoff your Amazon returns here free, think twice. My experience will save your some money and time. Before going to the store, I read Amazon's return policy carefully to make sure this in-store return option is free: "The UPS Store Dropoff - no box or label needed: $0.00 The UPS Store will pack and ship your return for FREE. Just show the return code we give you at The UPS Store. Store hours are subject to change due to COVID-19 precautions, please confirm opening hours before proceeding." But when I got there a few weeks ago, I was told a $1 shipping label fee would be charged for each item. Sorry but I will not pay for it since it's unreasonable and against the policy. I'd been to other Amazon dropoff locations like Kohl's, none of them ever asked for any fee for packaging and label-printing. Lesson learned: print it out yourself, drop it off in the box. read more

This UPS Store is one of the best business performing and operating places I've ever dealt with!!! I've been doing e-commerce especially since the Pandemic,so have tons of Amazon orders and eBay sales, thus need the associated carrier UPS all the time for both shipments and returns! I recently moved to Flushing from Forrest Hills and so lucky to find this UPS Store close to me and located in the center of Flushing!Since then,I never need to worry about an incredible long line waiting to be served and experienced shutting off the door even before the closing hour like other stores because this place always have sufficient staff there ready to assist you and barely need to wait!!!Those handsome guys are joy to work with!!!Everyone in this location are friendly and warm approaching, everyone can speak perfect fluent English!!!And everyone is professionally trained... UPS has been my first choice when it comes to shipping service. I believe it is the best among other companies because of the high standard of service and prompt time of delivery. However, on Dec 26, 2017, at the location of 136-61 41st Ave, Flushing, NY 11355, something really disappointing happened. My boyfriend dropped off a return package at 10.15am on Dec 26, 2017, morning, but he didn't receive a receipt upon leaving the store. Later on, I realize I didn't put the return label on the package and what on the package was the shipping label which it was already used to send to me. I went to the store and wanted to pick up the package, so I can put the right return label at home. Unfortunately, the employee told me that I am not able to pick it up, because I was not the person who dropped off the package, and that employee's name is Henry Qian. I told him that on the shipping label it stated my name and home address, also I have ID with me. However, Henry Qian yelled at me, " I don't care about your ID or where you live. I need the person who dropped off the package to come over and pick it up." Now, I don't understand why I can not have my package even it was labeled as to ship to me and to my living address. Also, Henry Qian emphasized no matter who the package belongs to, he needs to see the receipt, which he never gave out at first place. I called my boyfriend to see if he had forgotten or lost the receipt, but he was sure that he never received one. When I told Henry Qian that my boyfriend didn't receive the receipt when he drops off the package, Henry Qian totally went nuts and start to yell again, "I gave everyone a receipt when I receive a package, I am protecting my job and I am doing my job." In my mind, Henry Qian, you are not doing your job, nor protect your job, because first, you accept a package with an already used shipping label that created extra cost to UPS, second you didn't offer a receipt which you said you always do, third by yelling in the store at a customer, I don't think you are doing your job or protect your job. Meanwhile, I told Henry Qian that if he strongly believes he gave my boyfriend the receipt and UPS must use that as an evidence, he can check the security camera, but he wasn't even listening. I calmed myself down after all the things Henry Qian yelled to me and ask him if it is because of the holiday season, there are just too many packages and he has difficulty to locate the package. As in reply, he yelled "I just don't to look it for you! I don't care what you saying, and I don't want to help you. You want to file a complain, go do it, I don't care and there will be nothing happen to me anyway." In addition, he threatened me, "You want me to make your life more complicated?! Leave now!" I felt my life got threaten, I am a 20-year-old, 5 feet tall, 100 lb Asian female, while Henry Qian is 6ish feet tall, 200ish LB male. I could've left the UPS store, but the store has my package and I was really afraid the item will end up in nowhere. While I was contacting my boyfriend regarding the receipt and my boyfriend was sure he didn't receive any receipt, my boyfriend asked me to give the phone to Henry Qian. The moment Henry Qian took my phone, he started to yell at my boyfriend, "I'm just doing my job, I give you a receipt!" My boyfriend asked him what can he do so UPS can give back the package. Henry Qian requested a copy of my boyfriend's ID and his current picture. After he checked my ID, the picture of my boyfriend's ID and his selfie, also the tracking # of the old shipping label, Henry Qian finally willing to look for the package which was dropped off 5 hours ago and it only took him 3 mins. I know life is hard and work doesn't make it easier. However, UPS you chose the wrong person to put in a client facing position. Henry, you chose service industry as your career, you totally failed the code of being professional. I believe there are a lot of talented individuals who are passionate and qualified to handle client facing position out there, but Henry Qian definitely is not one of them. I want to see if it is really like what he said that even I go file a complain and there will be nothing happen to him, if it is like what he said, then I believe I trusted UPS wrong. I believe there are some aspects which UPS can improve: 1. Client facing personal's attitude, especially threatening clients? 2. Don't accept a package which has a label that already been used. 3. Make sure the receipt is issued and don't blame the client if the receipt was never issued in the first place. Please do not let your customer felt disappointed in UPS.
