I've been going here for years. Mostly to do Amazon returns. So I'm ready with labels and QR codes. It's in and out. I find the people to be friendly and I enjoy doing business with them. I don't know why people are complaining they provide a great service and they've always been helpfu. Highly recommend the place. I even bring my dogs inside usually one at a time a different one each time I go and they're very friendly and play with the dogs if they have time. I think they're nice people. read more

Something is not right, here! I sent two trade-in phones with QR codes. The phone receipts were one minute apart. One phone arrived in five days and was immediately accepted by Verizon. The second trade-in (which is in equally if not better shape) left one minute later and arrived two days after. Verizon is now showing the phone shipping and reviving on that same arrival date and still not assessed as of three days now. What happened? read more

Please check your receipts take your time, i had two Bloomingdales packages sent out and normally i get notifications indicating that package is in transit. I waited a few days, tried tracking and said cant find. When i looked at my package receipt tracking numbers dont match, and the weight is 0.00 lbs. This place is a clown show. Grumpy employees who will rip you off with way overpriced shipping services. We wanted to ship a small picture frame weighing less than a pound, no rush, and were quoted $32. That's absurd. Went to the nearby post office and got it shipped for $17. read more

Today I witnessed how an employee told a young black man who wanted to send an envelope that he must have come with the envelope already taped and proceeded to show him where the tapes were on the wall and allowed him to buy a roll. They are a private location and charge absurd prices. The staff are miserable and are actively unkind. Like, REALLY nasty for no reason. Worst Experience with a UPS Store I've ever had!!! I had purchased an Item from Westport Auction House & they're on their Shipping List, so I phoned to use them. I then received a Shipping Invoice that seemed extraordinarily high, so I phoned the 2 other UPS Stores on the Auction House List & their quotes were less than half! When I phoned back to speak to the Owner, I was told she wasn't available over several days of trying & leaving several messages. I even had the owner of the Westport UPS Store kindly offer to pick up the Item himself & mail it. But he said they wouldn't release it. I finally just paid them like a ransom. Unprofessional & Price Gouging pure & simple. If I had read the many awful reviews here, I would never have called them. Hard lesson learned! read more

NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE ... I called to find out where my Westport Auction merchandise was and the woman who answered was in a horrible mood I asked if my things had been picked up and rudely she said she didn't know and I should call the auction house to see if it had been picked up by them the UPS store ..that is the job I was paying them to do. I had been quoted 85.00 to pick up and pack 2 10" ceramic figures and a small bowl. They sent a bill the day after the call re where is my stuff and they hiked up the bill to 121.00 outrageous. I deal with countless UPS Stores across the country I understand sometimes things are a bit heavier but this is the largest price increase I have ever had . I may just abandon the goods . fyi I got a quote from another store for a 24" by 14" by 16" wood sculpture much larger much heavier then what these people were shipping and that was $175.00 They are trying to screw me . I've worked in many different places prior to becoming a graphic designer. One of those places was as a CableVision tech in the IT department. Dealing with irate callers was a daily occurrence, because people wanted to go online or watch a game when they got home from work. Customer service can be stressful, but it requires a calm demeanor which was an integral part of customer service training. This particular UPS store has incredibly bad customer service, and it's as if no one was trained in proper customer service. There are common greetings that were required as a tech, starting with, "Hi my name is... Thank you for calling CableVision, how may I assist you?" The UPS store clerks never do anything even remotely like that, they answer, "This is the UPS, you'll have to hold for now." I sent out 2 packages out for an Amazon return the at same exact date and time, and one was sent, while the other one is still sitting there for over a month at the UPS center. When contacting the store to find out why, the lady who answered was already irate at 9:15 and placed me on hold for 30 mins right after calling. After hanging up and trying again an hour later, the same thing happened again for 20 mins. After the 3rd time, and being placed on hold for 7 mins, the lady never stated her name, or allowed me to state the tracking number after telling her that one of the packages is showing that it never left the location. She stated that it's Amazon's problem. This makes no sense given that the package hasn't even left the UPS location. She hung up after stating that. When I tried to call back, she stated that she already told me that it's Amazon's issue, and that she already said this before and wouldn't say it again. I thought that she might be having a bad day, so my response was I hope you have a mice day, and before finishing my sentence, she already hung up. Another time prior to this, I sent back a single package, the box was included, and the shipping was paid for by Amazon. 2 weeks later I received a bill for $13.75 from UPS stating that the shipping went over the pre paid label. When I brought it to the store they said it couldn't be paid there, and that they're not sure why it was sent to me, they said that it should be disregarded since it was most likely sent in error. Then another notice came in a month later saying it was unpaid and that a check would need to be sent in a prepaid envelope for the full amount. The address came from the Fairfield UPS store. When I called to ask about it, they said it could be paid in the store. In the 5 times that I've gone to this UPS store, only one person has been kind, or even helpful. The customers are usually very polite, if they see me carrying a large package, they'll hold the door open for me, and if they're coming to the door with a large package, I'll do the same for them. There's only been one time that I've called where someone's answered, "Hi my name is... thank you for called the Fairfield UPS center, how can I help you today." Typically it's, "Hi, what do you need?" Or hold please, I'll be with you in a min." The last one is typically associated with incredibly long, completely silent hold times. read more

Well, they have done nothing. The mgr, Maureen(?) said she was going to call the supervisor at the post office. Well, what good would that do? I already spoke to the mgr , Aicia, at the p.o.! Maureen at UPS refuses to show me the camera footage. Gee, I wonder why. She has probably deleted it by now. I am inclined to believe that my orange box never left the store. I don't trust the staff there. Now I am out $200.00 I'm not finished with this As it turns out, someone from the store stole my package. It never left the UPS store. I spoke to a person from the post office in Hartford because my case was escalated. I was told that my package never hit the post office. UPS does not want to show me the camera footage. Maureen said it is only for date. What does that mean? They were all kind of defensive. I am positive that my package never left their store. They can not prove that a postal worker picked it up. That is why I wanted to see the camera footage. So, they are all in on it. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO MAIL VIA USPS. read more

DO NOT USE THIS UPS STORE!!!! YOU ARE BETTER OFF GOING TO POST ROAD LOCATION. Go to UPS store on Post Road, Fairfield...they are 200% better than this location! I wanted to send an insured package and the employees in this place wanted me to purchase their boxes and materials for $59.00 ( three boxes ). I have shipped insured packages for high amounts and never was I asked to use an official UPS box. I then drove to the Fairfield UPS Store on the Post Road in same shopping plaza Bob's Store. The people in the Post Road store did not require an official UPS box. In fact I had to tape the boxes and the employee from Post Road UPS Store taped my boxes free of charge!!!! read more

Absolutely horrible place of business. The customer service is terrible. The manager was super rude and no help what so ever. I brought in 4 automobile wheels to ship out, I packaged them very well, upon my customer receiving them, they were damaged. As I know this is not the ups store's fault and most likely the actual shipping company but the store was no help what so ever. I filed a claim and when corporate UPS called the store, the manager told them that she advised me not to ship them due to poor packaging which is 100% untrue. UPS Store at 2490 Black Rock TPK. Don't be fooled by this company's professional exterior and friendly smiles if you are shipping a package. They crammed my antique chandelier into an undersized box, and put all the glass slip shades into a single large box to bounce around against each other with minimal padding. Needless to say, the 100-year old antique arrived with shattered glass and multiple fractures due to negligient packaging. I tried to file a shipping insurance claim on 5/17. It is now 5/29 and they continue to come up with new reasons why they won't file on insurance claim. 1) oops you don't have an original purchase receipt 2)oops you cut up the original packaging 3) oops we need a repair estimate 4) oops we need to send someone out to do an inspection ya de ya de ya . . . The staff is not flexible, not helpful, and condescending. The same goes for their corporate headquarters in San Diego. There is absolutely no desire to retain customers. read more

The WORST UPS store ever! I purchased a painting at Westport Auctions who gave me this UPS store's contact info. I paid $335 to have the painting picked up at Westport Auction and packed by this UPS store to ship to me. The painting arrived very badly damaged and I spoke to Kerry the store manager. She told me I had to relinquish the painting in order to file a claim with UPS. I told her I had to think about it and call her back. When I called back she had already issued a call tag to have it picked up at my house! (UPS tried to pick it up the next day) I called UPS Corporate and they said I did NOT have to give up the painting in order to file a claim but I should send her pictures of the damage. I sent the pictures but she did NOT forward them to UPS. I had to call UPS Corporate again who told me to send them directly to UPS myself. I finally got my a check for the UPS claim I filed thanks to the excellent service I received from the UPS Corporate office. Kerry is very rude and also a liar who tries to cheat the customers. Kerry provided me with a quote for shipping some valuables internationally - when it came to sending the items the price I was charged was almost DOUBLE what I was quoted! I wish I could give them no stars -worst customer service I've ever experienced I nearly left the store in tears. The women with blond short hair was "helping" me and she could not have been more rude. She was condescending from the moment I walked in the door. I was trying to send packages to my close friends and she just told me that my picture frames would shatter and there was nothing they could do about it unless I paid $35 for each of my 8 packages to be re packaged. I packaged them very safely so that they would not be damaged and she gave me no other option other than paying an astronomical amount of money to ship them. I will never return to this location, I've never experienced such rudeness from anyone in my life let alone someone who is supposed to be providing customer service. Seriously don't go to this location unless you want to be forced to pay way more than you should while simultaneously experiencing the worst customer service ever! read more

WORST SERVICE EVER! Went to the UPS Store on Black Rock Tpke, Fairfield. The clerk tried to sell me overnight air service vs ground for almost triple the cost when the arrivals are the same (Next day to NYC). I shipped my package via UPS ground from this store. My package never arrived at its destination, instead it was shipped back to my home address 2 days later. I had to re-ship it back to NYC from my home at my own expense. When I called the UPS store on Black Rock Turnpike, I was so surprised at the store owner, Carrie's lack of empathy and reluctance to even give me a refund. She finally gave me a "partial" refund after much conversation with her. I learned that they had put the wrong address and zip code on my package. DO NOT USE THIS UPS STORE!!
