I needed a comprehensive understanding of UPS's policy for shipping a certain item. The answers to my questions received from UPS's corporate office conflicted with answers I received from UPS store in Delafield WI. The manager of that store, John was able to confirm for me in writing that the answers I received from his store were indeed accurate, so that I could proceed with full confidence that I was adhering to UPS policy. Uncomfortable and uneasy lately.... I frequent store #5181 particularly because it is on my way home from work and is easily accessible from the interstate. The past several times I've needed to drop off packages to be shipped I've found myself hesitant to because of an employee that does not respect boundaries. This employee is a younger male with short red/orange hair. I apologize that I do not know his name, but he is usually there weekday mornings. I will bring my amazon returns to send off and this employee will reach out with his barcode scanner as I'm setting my item on the scale. As I'm doing so, he comes forward a little too quick to scan my return QR code. MY concerns have been that his reaching is premature, and I've wondered if this is something he does because he's attempting to be efficient. However, I've taken note the past few times that I'm there and I'm usually the only customer or there are few other customers waiting in the store. This employee is crossing a line and I would like to see this issue addressed with him. The most recent occurrence, he nearly made contact with me and my phone as he reached towards me as I'm trying to set my package on the scale. This employee needs to take a moment and let the customer set the item down BEFORE he advances with his scanner. It has caught me off guard and I would really appreciate it if he took a moment to respect that I'm following his instruction to set the item on the scale. Once I've done that, he could kindly ask for the QR code or whatever barcode he needs to scan rather than just reach over into personal space. I would be happy to face my phone screen forward for him rather than have him come at me like he has. I don't typically post reviews and what not but because I found myself thinking about this experience prior to arriving at the store, I decided it's necessary to come forward with this information. There is another UPS store that I have discovered on my way home from work in Oconomowoc. I will carry out my business with them from here on out until I know this has been addressed and resolved. read more

i Just moved to the area and I do a lot of shipping so I thought I would give this store a try. All I could say is I wish I had read the reviews before subjecting myself to abuse. I walked.in with two boxes and 3 bags and could have clearly used a hand. Instead this is what I got. Me: Could I leave these on the counter they have prepaid labels?" Owner: "No"! Me: No? Her: "You have to wait like everybody else and I don't want you to contaminate the counter." Me: "What?" Then the other woman offered to help me. I now use UPS store in Pewaukee. I'm not the first person to ever say this on a review but if I could give it to zero Stars I would. I dropped off a package for them to give to UPS. I'd already printed out the label and placed it on the package. The package never went anywhere and they claim that they don't have it. And then they insinuated that I never dropped it off. They gave me a receipt with some USPS tracking number that I never even brought in. They don't know how that tracking number got on my receipt. It happened to me once before where I dropped off a UPS package and they lost it. It never got to UPS. Shame on me for giving them a second chance. I highly recommend you avoid this UPS Store. The craziest thing is that they're not willing to compensate me in any way or $215 item that I now have to pay for. Terrible customer service. Terrible! read more

Avoid! Rude owner. Poor customer service that can't even offer courtesy tape. Not to mention, this store is the worst for package tracking and Amazon returns. Do yourself a favor and stop by Oconomowoc, Waukesha, or Watertown UPS, you'll thank yourself later. read more

I recently moved to the area and have stopped in the store a few times. This is hands down the worst UPS store I have ever been to!!!! They not friendly, they are slow, frankly you feel like your intruding on them. Coming from a city that my UPS store was awesome, including friendly faces, helpful attitude, quick service and frankly just professional. Including having a tape station to close your box up. As a person who buys most of my items online, this UPS store makes me think twice before purchasing because of returns. Fed EX while more expensive at least makes you feel like they want your business. Sadly the owner who works the front desk a lot sets the tone for her business so I don't assume anything will change. read more

Absolutely ridiculous. The folks at this location have no concept of "thank you for using our services, how can I help you?" Quite the opposite, they are rude, could not care less about you and the business you're bringing. They feel entitled to our business. Don't reward them in any way. read more

These people are sooo rude!!! I dropped off a prepackaged ups return...the girl at the counter said, wait!!! I have to record this, stand in line. Well, this is not what other stores do...you can make the decision as to if you do or don't want a receipt. She was yelling at me, it was really crazy!!! read more

I have had to use this UPS store a few times a year. First of all the location is great for me.. But what amazes me is that the staff is so very helpful and respectful. They not only are very busy and must deal with all types of temperaments, but each time I have been in the store, they are very polite and give excellent customer service. I first went to FedEx in Delafield and they couldn't deliver to PO Boxes. So I lugged this huge box over to USPS in Delafield and they measured the box and said it was too large to ship, with no further comment. Still struggling with this large box, I went over to the UPS store in Delafield. The owner informed me that they use USPS to ship and indeed it was too large, but she at least gave me a solution. All I had to do was cut the height down by 2" and It would be shippable. She even offered me a box cutter to do it in the store. Instead I took it home to cut down and repack. Now, I could have gone back to the post office as they were the delivery agent, but instead spent the extra monies in shipping and gas to return to the UPS Store in DELAFIELD because they took care of me. I am in the customer service business and I really appreciated their effort. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! No CONCEPT of customer service. I've seen this is a standard complaint for this UPS store. They were disamissive and unhelpful. I live in Lake Country and drive to a Brookfield UPS and it's worth it to not have to deal with these people. I needed to attach my mailing label with some tape....,they wanted to charge me $1 for using tape, even a small amount. Ridiculous! There are so many other mailing options in Lake Country, avoid this store! Very unpleasant and I've talked to another person who had the same experience. One star, because I couldn't give less. Horrible customer service, save your time, money, and items that you are doing and go somewhere else. Even UPS customer service recommended going somewhere else. This was my first visit to this location, and it will be my last. I have never had such a negative experience at a UPS store. read more
