If you don't already know, Southern Tide makes the best polo shirt on the market. The best part about this store is the service. They know what they're along about here. They also go out of their way to carry cool stuff you've never heard of before. The store reminds me of what the original Abercrombie & Fitch Outfitter stores were like. Unfortunately, the quality of the uniforms is equally concerning. Given the prices, I expected a much higher standard of quality, but the products felt poorly made and far below what I would expect from a company specializing in school uniforms. Overall, both the customer service and product quality left a great deal to be desired, both at their old location on Drane Field and their new location on South Florida Ave.

I first want to start with, I have been an ongoing customer with your business for 20 plus years…read more Being a student that needed these uniforms and now a parent. The Lakeland store has always been fairly good to me considering the rush and I have not really had many complaints until today. I had an encounter with one of your employees who was very rude and condescending in nature when I was trying to return my items. My son grew out of his old uniforms so I sized up and them ordered online. When we got them home, he had actually grown two sizes after trying on a pair. So I went in to exchange, I asked to be sized up again. Upon going to the counter she noticed one single hair on the fabric of one of the shorts. I get policy, I do and just took the loss, mentioned that I was a single mother and these already expensive uniforms were hard to purchase. She was rude over and over saying, you better take a picture of the whole thing, rolling her eyes and smacking her teeth. I was only sending it to my fiancé who I was texting trying to stay calm. We did the transaction and I went about my way just trying to not cry after the rudeness and embarrassment she has just put me through, there was ONE white dog hair on them and she was shouting saying people are allergic to dogs we can't take those back. Where I don't know where it came from, could of been in passing around trying to get the exchange or the order together originally when I did the online order, my son never wore these, ever. After I left I received a text from a friend that was in line, she let me know that all the ladies were talking bad about me publically that were at the front counter and laughing that I would be back to exchange the ones they allowed me to exchange (which made no sense because they were all in the same bag, not that I am mad about it but policy, ya know) because they too were not the right size. They didn't tell me that, I said I needed a size up from the 33 husky that I had. I was given 34 mens. I am now almost 200 in the hole for these uniforms and will be doing everything I can to get Mckeel to pull out of this contract. You guys should have staff that is professional and not making fun of putting their customers in a spot where they have to continue to come back after the fun that was made of them. It's horrible. The name of the employee, was Miss Burns when I asked her name. She is condescending and flat out rude. And seems to be pretty petty when I was doing the exchange that she knew was incorrect. I am shocked she is able to be in customer service, she should not be in front of your customers.
