4 quality courts, shooting machines, and ample parking. Need to get better ventilation or A/C. Bathrooms need to be checked and cleaned more often.

This is a facility that is part of a large sports complex in Walnut Creek. The Ultimate Fieldhouse offers a couple different things depending on what you are looking for. We took our kids here for a trial on both the group class and the Shoot 360 practice area. We did decide to sign our kids up for the group classes and after a few months, we will have them practice what they learned in the Shoot 360. I will breakdown my review based on my first impressions and the trial experience. I will update this review as we continue to complete classes when I have more experiences here. Facility: 3/5 This is a pretty nice facility. There are I think 4 courts where they conduct the group classes. The Shoot 360 is in its own area with several half court practice areas. The courts themselves are very clean and seem well maintained. There are some bleachers at one end of the courts in the group class area, but if your kid is at the other end of the court, there was no seating there. It does appear that they have foldable chairs that were stored in the group class area, but none of the staff offered to set any up. So I wasn't sure if these are only used for certain events. The Shoot 360 area had very little seating. There was 1 chair in the court area that we were in and no chairs in the lobby area. It is cool though that parents can go onto the court area and help coach/practice with their kid. I've seen other reviews about the AC and it being hot, however this was not the case when we went. It was a good temperature inside. In the men's bathroom, there was dried blood on the sink and on the hand dryer. I wasn't sure if this had just happened after the bathroom was cleaned, or if it had been there a while. The only reason this was not 5/5 was because of the little seating and the cleanliness of the sink area in the bathroom. Technology: 5/5 The technology particularly in the Shoot 360 area was really cool. They have 4 lanes where you can practice your ball handling/passing skills. This is done with a large screen that has different engaging activities for your kid to do. For example, one activity has bugs crawling across the screen and you hit them with the basketball. The shooting area has an intuitive pass machine with a TV that has detailed analytics with each shot. This is great for seeing what aspects of your shot need improvement. This would be very helpful for someone that is serious about improving their game and wants to practice technique they have already learned. This program saves your results and you can review them at home as well, which is a really cool. I would recommend signing up for Shoot 360 only if your kid has some knowledge of proper technique. Otherwise, they may develop habits that will need to be broken later. Unless, you just want to do this for fun and don't plan on playing competitively. Customer Service: 3/5 We had a 30 minute trial at the ball handling area and a 30 minute trial at the shooting area. We got to our time slot a little early, but no one helped up until several minutes after our time started. By the time the boys got to the handling lane there was 23 minutes left on their clock. (However, if your kid signs up, this shouldn't be a problem for future appointments because your kid won't have to wait to be escorted or have to receive direction from staff.) However, the coaches that helped us were nice and knowledgeable about the skills. Classes: 5/5 I really liked the group class that our boys did. The group was not huge, so the coach was able to see what each kid was doing and correct them accordingly. There are different classes that focus on different skills that you can sign up for on different days of the weeks. The classes are 50 minutes which goes by quick but, I felt they got a lot of instruction in that amount of time. The coach we had for this class was strict with the skills and the form, but fair and supportive which I liked to see. They also have private coaching classes available as well as small leagues that you can participate in if you want to put your skills to the test on a team. Pricing: 4/5 The pricing is not bad. For the Shoot 360 you can commit to Monthly ($179), for 3 months ($165/month), 6 month ($150/month) or for 12 months ($135/month). This price gets you access for unlimited days for up to 1.5 hours a day based on availability. (The shooting and the ball handling are in 30 min. increments). For the Ultimate Player Development Classes you buy credits per kid and can use them at your leisure. You can purchase a 1, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 or 24 sessions. The more you buy, the cheaper it is. 1 session is $35 and 24 sessions is $648 ($27/session). Overall I think this will be a great place for our kids to start and develop their skills in basketball. I think this is a great resource if your kid is serious about basketball and wanting to improve. It's also great if you just want a place for your kid to learn the game and burn some steam.

Nice venue for sporting events had a nice big parking lot. There were 4 corts for basketball or others. They had a shooting and passing area for training (this you have to pay for), BUT the biggest downfall was that the restrooms were HORRIBLE! 3 out of 3 had the rolls of toilet paper rolling all over the bathroom, 2 out of 3 had the toilet paper dispenser laying on the floor ( this was for the 4 hours I was there) people who I came in contact with never smiled for acknowledged you. But great place to play indoor sports in.

Came here for my nephew's 6th birthday party. It seems to be a good place for open gym and tournament style sports. Whether it's basketball or soccer they seem to cover both. There is a side room that you can rent for birthday parties. You are allowed to bring your own food which is great which is great. My sister-in-law kept it simple with pizza and a couple of vegetable trays which is perfect for a group of boys who are more interested in the free play. When we were there, there were a lot of league games going on. Parents can sit on the bleachers but if you are dropping your kids off to play or participate in the open gym type space, there is a lobby area you can sit at. There are only a few round tables and chairs in the lobby area so this is a very "lounge + observe" type location which is fine given the intent. The parking lot is pretty small. There is still a lot of construction going on so hopefully once it's all done this will provide more parking space. Also, make sure to come with your own snacks and water. Their snack selection is super limited.

Great spacious facility, but please add MORE AC units. Too hot & humid for the athletes when all courts are filled.

This review is for the facilities only, not the basketball programs. The cleanest basketball facility in the Bay Area as of September 2016. The Under Armour banners of Steph Curry gives this place a special feel compared to other facilities in the Bay Area. The four basketball courts are in great condition. Ample seating for each basketball court and nice lobby entrance when you walk in. There are also 4 shooting machines in the facility. I'm sure there will be different basketball programs who will use this facility. I'm hoping the quality stays at a high level for years to come.

Are you young, new to the city, and like meeting new people?…read more Then WAKA Kickball is for you! I've been playing for 5 years now. There are several days you can play, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday. Each Day of the week has a different vibe and level of competition. I mainly play on Sundays which is a little less competitive than other days. And it gives me enough time to recover. After the games we head to our sponsor bar to hang out, drink, and play flip cup. There are usually 2-3 parties that happen every season as well. I've made some of my best friends playing kickball. You should too!

Really fun and really great way to meet new people in a new city (or when you want to make new…read morefriends in the city you've lived in for awhile). Every league is different, so it's worth trying a few if you don't like the first one you are in. The kickball is fun but it works really well when paired with the drinking games after. The most important thing is to find a league where the post-game bar is on a night where you can afford to drink and is easy to get home from (i.e. no driving necessary). A good post-game means it doesn't matter whether you are on a team that loses every game. There is a mix of players and some have played for a few years and understand the strategies and have experience, while others are just starting out. Signing up as a free agent is pretty random, so you can get placed on a completely new team or as filling out an established squad. Most people are generally friendly and welcoming (beer does that to you).

She walks in excited and walks out confident, energized, and on fire. Ana has a rare ability to truly see her athletes and push them just beyond what they thought was possible. We choose private lessons at Vibe because they keep her learning year-round, even during downtime, in a way that isn't possible in a team setting. Whatever she wants to work on, Ana locks in, and they nail it within an hour. Those skills then show up in tournaments with confidence and clarity. What stands out just as much is the impact on her mental game. Confidence doesn't come easily at this age, and the way Ana builds belief and trust is truly special. We feel incredibly lucky to be part of Vibe Volleyball Club and highly recommend it to any family looking for real development, strong coaching, and genuine support.

This organization fails to improve and correct their mistakes. It's no wonder they lose at least…read more20% of participants to Pleasant Hill Baseball Association (PHBA) every single year. If it were not for being in a big city that encourages sports for children, this organization would have failed long ago. Here's why: 1. TOO SMALL: Each league has only 4-5 teams, whereas other leagues have 10+ teams (like most little league teams). Lower ages have so few teams that WCLL MAKES YOU TRAVEL TO PITTSBURG, RICHMOND, CLAYTON, ETC. Who wants to drive around to play teams from other cities far away? Especially certain cities where you worry about your car getting broken into. At other leagues, there are 10+ teams and your child gets to play with the same kids year after year (meaning they make friends and establish a community). Not at WCLL. It's horrible. 2. FIELDS SUCK: WCLL makes you play at local elementary schools where the fields are not kept nicely. There is no grounds crew to prep the fields, weeds, giant holes, etc. Other leagues have clean and well groomed fields that are separated for baseball and softball. 3. HORRIBLE COACHING: The coaching is parent volunteers, which is fine, but there is no background check, training, or anything else. They merely let any parent who signs up be a coach. Most often, the parent has no experience with coaching or even playing, and therefore cannot help your child grow. 4. NO DEVELOPMENT: The league does not work on developing your child as a player, teammate or competitor. It's merely a play date each week at all levels. 5. BOARD OF DIRECTORS: The board are a bunch of power hungry moms and dads that love to assert power with little reasoning. Honestly, I doubt any of them played any sports growing up. They do not do anything to change the league so it's a wonder why they sign up for the position anyway. 6. LACK OF COMPETITION. The league frowns on competition or showing any competitive spirit. If you try to establish competition in children, your team, etc, which is useful for adulthood, they will outcast you. Many coaches and families have left for being persecuted for this, went to another league, and thrived. WCLL literally shoots themselves in the foot by getting rid of the best coaches and families who challenge their teams and children to do better and strive to win. 7. GIRLS SOFTBALL: Some divisions have 3-4 teams, and some age levels do not even have softball (meaning they have to play with boys). Contrast that with PHBA where there are 10+ teams of only girls for softball starting at the age of 4. No joke, that's how bad WCLL is for girls. 8. BOYS BASEBALL: All the good players go to other leagues as these travel teams get stomped by every other league. If you want your kid to develop, you'll need to go to another league. If you do not believe me, go and ask around and check out other leagues on your own. I have no affiliation with anyone else, just giving my opinion so you can research leagues before you commit to this horrendously ran, unprofessional, and rag tag league.

The egos here are huge and fragile, if you aren't into that I would avoid it. You can find better deals elsewhere. Updated to match my Google review, Michael is not interested in improving himself or his business. That's his decision, albeit a sad one. But notice the pattern of his responses to criticism, not addressing it and going on the offense. This is a display of the fragile ego I speak of above. I wish you the best Michael.
