Before making the trip to Fairfield we checked the online return policy to make sure we would receive a refund if an exchange wasn't possible. The policy clearly confirms that if an exchange is not possible, a refund will be issued. Upon arrival, she was told that only store credit could be received and that they would not get anymore Snap-Ts in stock to exchange. They were also unaware of the online return policy despite my wife's insistence to look. They denied any refund and while they won the battle and retained the 100 dollars from my Snap-T, they will not receive anymore business from us. FYI, Patagonia in Westport gladly exchanged Island Outfitters' Snap-T. Stick to the larger retailers like REI and Patagonia. Better prices and far better service.

I'm a groomsman in an upcoming wedding and went to rent a suit. Previously, I was told that I couldn't fit into pants that come in slim fit. Rather than settle on pants in which I would have gotten lost, my guy said, "I have an idea." He went to work his magic and came out with a beautiful pair of trousers that were comfortable and fit like a glove. The same was true for the shirt and blazer. Daishon could have just went with the first blazer that had a fine fit, but came out with multiple options and patiently went through them one by one until I was not just satisfied, but ecstatic. Over the course of my try-on, it felt like I was in the hands of an artist who takes personal pride in his craft. Their prices are actually higher than the big name stores. You're not getting a deal. After bringing to the manger's attention the discrepancy in price. She ripped the price tag off the lesser value item and priced it the same as the higher-priced item. The first woman who helped me was merely doing her job. She was polite & helpful. The manger -you need training & better customer service skills. Save yourselves and your wallet. Better prices online. Both TJ Maxx & Marshalls are now up and running for online shopping.
