The Treasure Chest Thrift and Conaignment Shop is probably one of the best in SW Florida! Their stuff is high end with reasonable prices. Very clean, almost sparkling! The isles are easily navigated with plenty of room. The store is a good size, 3 full rooms. The owner is extremely helpful and very pleasant. I highly recommend this shop! Debba Lawrance read more

We moved away from PGI a few months ago. Prior to listing our house, I brought two somewhat oversized tropical prints into the store to see if they might sell. I had only ever brought one other thing in years ago and I don't recall being treated so badly. The two items didn't fit into their plastic bins (in the little serve yourself area), so I asked Becca at the counter how she wanted me to handle it. She was nasty and truly rude to me. She snapped at me like an grouchy old dog. I took my stuff and went to another bigger, nicer consignment store less than 10 minutes away on McKenzie St. The people there were much kinder (and friendlier, and patient). Pretty sure this place only stays in business because the location is central to PGI and convenient. Also, some folks are willing to put up with Becca's distainful treatment just to get rid of things. It'll catch up eventually though. Look at the recent reviews... someone is not happy in her business anymore and it shows. read more

After dealing with that terrible woman at the front counter, I don't think we're ever going back to the store again. She is so freaking rude, like she is doing you a favor letting you in. When you ask a question, she responds by repeating the question. Either she's the dumbest person in the world and/or one who doesn't know how to run a business or how to be the slightest bit congenial. I'll never go back. There are other consignment stores that are nicer. read more

The owner here is an absolute *unt. She made my mom cry for not acting properly when picking up a chair - it's fucking Florida old people act a certain way. 0 out of 10 The chair we picked up was also dirty when we looked closer. They don't even bother to clean the second hand items they sell - ridiculous!!! read more

very rude staff act like they do not have a minute to speak with you over the phone very rigid structure to consign not worth it the folks at funky Junky are much nicer read more

We love this place! So much cool, interesting stuff, usually great prices and staff is always helpful! Its about an hours drive from our home, but well worth the trip. We stopped in mid December and found a few choice items to add to our Christmas decor ( just what i was looking for!) and a couple of non holiday items as well. My hubs loves browsing here as much as I do, and we usually have lunch somewhere in Hudson or New Port Richie area. Great relaxing morning or afternoon! read more

Absolutely loved this place and the owner was very very nice! The prices were super reasonable and everything was very high-quality, no junk! Bought some really cool stuff! Will definitely come back and patronize this business over and over read more

What an awesome experience. My wife and I stopped into the Treasure Chest to continue furnishing our new Florida home. The shop was neat, organized and well displayed. The merchandise was clean and well-priced. My suggestion, before you buy new, take advantage of the unbelievable values and professional staff of this store. Just a note of caution though, if you're expecting a thrift store when you walk in, Treasure Chest is not the store for you. But we bought a piece that would price out new for $750 to $900 in any furniture store. We purchase it for $160. Thank you, Becca for the effort and care you and your team put into your shop. Andrea & I am now Treasure Chesters for sure. Michael & Andrea H. read more

Wow! What a unprofessional experience I had with the Owner (Becca) at Treasure Chest. She's never been very friendly. But I took some bar stools to seell. They sold them and I never received the check. I tried to collect my money. She wanted me to pay stop payments. I have usps daily notification. It never came to my address. It had already been 6 weeks. She kept trying to explain but kept saying different dates etc. I walked out. It's obvious she must need the money I told her to keep it. I will never go into that store again and I will tell all my friends that live with in PGI not too. Should have taken the clues on previous dealings with her. By the way we are talking about $60 dollars. Pretty rediculous. read more

Rude Never been talked to like the woman did to me in that store today She acted like we were stealing I set a picture down by her customer servic She yells at me to not get behind her register Not once but multiple times i would never enter that store again How could you stay in business? Love love love this place. The only thing I would recommend that is if you were going to go there, don't be in a hurry. Do you really want to take your time and go down every aisle not once maybe twice. I don't be afraid to ask questions. I saw a lamp that was tucked up way high. I wasn't sure what the price would be when she told me I was so happy and then she said there's an additional 10% off. That made me smile bigger. It is a really fun creative store. You can tell the people that work there and then I wanna love what they're doing. And that shows through the display and service!!!! read more

I was here with my husband back in February, and This place is ridiculously over priced, and for the littlest cheapest USED things.. I mean don't get me wrong it's a nice place it's just way over priced... I saw a knock off purse for almost $100 and knock offs do not cost no where near that much... Perfect example of price gouging.. The owner was there when we were there and she was rude when we asked if she could come down on some art work I could've gotten at goodwill for $10... Believe me, I won't be coming back... if I could give zero stars I would.... read more

One of my favorite consignment shops. I always find something there that adds a little zing to our place here!

if your looking for better 2nd hand items for a vacation home or condo, due stop here, the owner is very organized and great with explaining how the pricing works at the store. I went with a friend and this was by far the better of all the places. read more

Wow! I loved this store! I am so glad Punta Gorda is getting some upscale shops that don't break the bank. Great service, I mentioned an item I was looking for, and the sales person took my name and number and even called me back to let me know one had come in. I made it to the store that day and it was perfect! I even noticed that they are expanding! Definitely a gem! I will have to make it a regular visit. read more

I love bargains!!!! I can't believe that I found a chaise lounge for under $200.00 in brand new condition. I have looked everywhere. It is even a smaller version so I can use it in my bedroom. I like to go in there often so that I don't miss anything. One time you see it the next time you go in and it is gone!!! Their stuff changes so often. This is a really a fun consignment shop. read more
