Less than fifteen minutes from the airport is a town with a strip of delicious-looking seafood restaurants lining the canal.
With that said, why did we end up in an Irish pub?! Not to point fingers -- (ahem -- my daughter!) -- one of us isn't a fan of seafood. The Tower offered everything, including enough outdoor tables to accommodate us sans reservation.
Pictured is our order of mussels and clams in a delicious garlic broth that my husband and I shared as an appetizer. (I should've gotten this as my main! I could've gobbled the whole thing by myself!)
We had a plate of fish n' chips -- heavily battered, but not bad -- grilled sea bass, and grilled chicken breasts, marinated and sliced thin. (Would've been better on the bone.)
We chose a bottle of Chianti, that was so well priced, I was surprised it was Classico, with the signature black rooster.
The restaurant is located at the beginning of the strip on a less populated block. Definitely worth finding if there are non-seafood lovers amongst you. (I noticed there were burgers on the menu.) read more
