The service was really nice. There are a lot of older books and not as many newer books. I did think that the sections were well organized and alphabetized so it made it easier to search through. They had a nice collection of books ranging from romance, fiction, fantasy etc. on social media you can see when they are doing DnD nights, movie nights, and more. The owner and staff working were very accommodating and pleasant. The atmosphere is adventurous and cozy. Overall, just a great experience and look forward to coming out on a movie night. The bookstore at Northern is such an atrocious rip-off, so head down the road and spend your money at Campus Books and Supplies. Sure, they will still rob you blind (I kid, I kid--college students need a lesson in monetary value by forking out $150 for a text book they will never need again in six months), but you won't feel so disgruntled about it. Prices for books, supplies, and university gear are about 10 to 20% cheaper than the campus bookstore. Disheartened by lost orders and other customer service issues at the campus's Follett store, many professors only place their book orders at Campus Book. So, instead of making two bookstore trips, start here first. Beware of the endless lines during the first week of class. Get your schedule early and go to the store about a week before the start of school to bypass the wait. Also, sell your books back to Campus Book and Supply for more cash than you'd get on campus. I've always made out better here than on campus, but I'll always shed a tear for that barely cracked $100 textbook that only fetches me $20.

I wandered into Urban Eden while checking out what Main street downtown had to offer…read more This store features arts, crafts, gifts and other wares from local and regional artists. Each artist has a shelf or a little area inside the store. There were some beautiful bird baths and garden stuff. My favorite section of the store is the bookshelf in the back on the left that contains those Arcadia history books. Each one is about a certain piece of Cincinnati's history. Some talk about immigrants, others about neighborhoods, and some about families and companies that have flourished here. I like looking through these books as they are fascinating! I ended up purchasing an "I love OTR" sticker for $2 and am very happy and proud to finally own one. The owner is super sweet and is open most of the time but will open up shop if you have the shop's card and will come down and open it up for you!

The first time we visited, the husband was looking for a specific Christian Moerlein beer poster, and the woman working the register was very nice about trying to help us find it. He settled for a different one, but as we walked back down the street, she had found it and even came out calling for us to see if he wanted to swap. So nice! The owner apparently is open to taking calls if you need her to open up shop for something when they are closed. This is a great store to browse on a lazy OTR walking day, or if you are looking for some interesting gifts or jewelry off the beaten path.
