love going here for lunch , usually go with work mates to have a bite and a natter, food good and always seems to be fresh, the have a set menu for anyone not wanting the carvery and a choice of starter and desserts, staff seem friendly enough. the carvery itself includes turkey, ham ,and roast beef, you can stick to one meat or have a taste of all three, plenty of veg, potatoes, boiled with skins on , roasted , cauliflower chesse, brocolli, carrots roast parsnips, turnip and the biggest yorkshire puddings your likely to come across, very filling meal , although you can help yourself to more veg if you feel you need too.we usually pay £5 a head at lunchtime then i think it goes up to £7.50 in the evenings, well worth it in my opinion, drink prices can be a little on the dear side , we paid £1.85 for a glass of pepsi , so i expect alcohol to be a little bit dearer than normal pubs, plenty of parking spaces right out front too. read more
