Dr. Nencka had X-rays done, then did cold and percussion testing to determine which tooth was causing the problem. (My dentist wasn't able to determine which of three molars was causing the pain, but felt I probably needed a root canal.) He seemed to easily determine which tooth was the problem, one with a crown, and numbed that side of my mouth. Explaining as he went along, a device was added to keep my mouth open while he worked. I had no pain in my tooth from the procedure, only dull pain from keeping my jaw open so long, probably due to my TMJ problems. Finally the toothache and associated headache is gone after a fairly quick procedure! I remember my dentist performing a root canal on a tooth close to 55 years ago: Dental science, as we all know, and like anything technology based, has changed for the better in procedures like this! So much better!!

Dr. Kass was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. He explained what the issue was and how that contributed to all that I was experiencing. It was a decimated septum. The staff then went to my insurance to get approval for a CT within 15 minutes and got a pre-authorization for corrective surgery. The surgery was performed within the Moreland Medical Plaza clinic at the Ambulatory Surgery (see my review there)and the entire experience was top notch. Overall I would highly recommend Dr. Kass. We are now here for my wife and getting a consultant for her.

Parking near the office is limited and street only. The reception desk was full of people, but it's very slow to check in or get help. The staff seem friendly enough, but they are not super helpful in my experience. They seem overwhelmed by more than one person at a time in the little lobby. I received a very thorough new patient exam and too many x-rays for my liking, but the hygienist is definitely a professional and knows his stuff. I found the dentist I saw to be a little light on bedside manner, but I hear good things about the other. I'm going to stick it out, because overall the staff were friendly and seemed kind, but it was not a 5-star experience.

My first appointment was about a hour in a half. I got x rays, a cleaning, and a consultant from Dr. Christian. My hygenist was Andrea and explained everthing to me before she did it. We came up a plan with Dr. Christian to get my smile back on track. I was pretty happy with the whole experience and go back next month to get some work done. I didn't even get my anesthesia for another 10 minutes. And then they left me again for 10 minutes for it to kick in. The bedside manner of the doctor was not there at all. There was no apology, nothing for the lateness. I'm sorry my time is just as valuable as every single person in that office. When I booked the appointment I asked how long the root canal appointment was going to take and I was told, 60-70 minutes. I was there for 2 hours, 120 minutes!!! What kind of compensation do I get for that??? Nothing. What a joke. If they knew they were behind they should have called, and I would have left my job a little later. And they wanted me there 20 minutes prior to the appointment time? For what, for me to sit in the waiting room? I'm pretty sure If we got compensated for our "waiting time" things would be more timely. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

He was constantly checking in on me, he was explaining things before and during when they were happening so I didn't feel surprised. He was cheery in his demeanor every time I interacted with him and did what was best for me and my tooth. He's the kind of specialist dentist you HOPE to never have to run into again, but would RUN his way if you need him. Dental assistants were also very helpful.

But my last two experiences were very bad. Last time I went here I was waiting (I think over 30min?) even though I made an appt. Fine, it happens. I got in the chair they took x-rays (great!) then sent a hygienist over and she did very, very, very little. They usually use a color coded probe to measure your gumline to see how much its receded, that was not done. They also de-calcify your teeth with a scaler/ultrasonic scaler (the scrapey part no one likes) she only did it on a few front teeth. Then she opened the prophy paste to "clean" the teeth and all she did was tap my four front teeth. That's it. That's all folks. Then they RUSH RUSH RUSHED me out the door. No one was that friendly either...busy I guess? Whatever. All in all very poor experience. They sure did bill my insurance though, of course! I thought maybe a fluke, one off? So I sent my husband in with tooth pan (cracked tooth.) I made him an appointment and everything. He waited FOR AN HOUR still and they looked at it, took a x-ray and sent him on his way. To be fair he didn't have my HSA card for payment so I get that. The real problem is (besides the ridiculous wait time) when I asked him about the experience he said "I didn't feel welcome there." and "They rushed me out so quickly." and "I just didn't feel like they wanted me there." I originally had a root canal done at my regular dentist and it continued giving me on and off…read moreissues. With my most recent issue it began to hurt chewing and my OG dentist labeled it a 'problem tooth' and had me come in for X-rays and an exam where it revealed the 'problem tooth' was infected and would either need extraction or root canal retreatment. Since it was a problem, he leaned me towards extraction. However, my gut kept telling me to dig a little deeper and seek an alternative opinion. I took a weekend and researched root canals and retreatments. I came to find out that Endodontists exists and that a significantly high percentage (roughly 80%) of root canals fail when conducted by general dentists (your every day dentist)! In fact, up to 98% of root canals done by specialists (endodontists) succeed! Read those again (and google it yourself). These stats, paired with my gut feeling of a second opinion led me to research endodontists that were both highly rated online and within my insurance's network of care. This led me to Access Endodontics in Brookfield. Calling to make an initial connection was a breeze and the staff was very helpful. They would connect with my insurance and my current dentist to gain a referral and necessary pre-steps. They called me back a couple days later and we set up an in-person evaluation, which was a breeze. I saw Dr. Stover and immediately felt at ease. Her bedside manner was top notch and, paired with her Knowledge and expertise, left me feeling calm and confident in my decision to try retreatment. I also felt connected to her opinion and agreed that it was worth trying retreatment so as not to wonder 'what if'. Flash forward to the retreatment appointment and, while I was feeling nervous, her calmness and thorough yet empathetic approach made for a night and day experience from my initial root canal. Additionally, it was during my retreatment appointment with her that I learned the Dr found 2.5 MORE ROOTS that were completely MISSED the first time!! Of course this tooth was a 'problem' because it hadn't been properly treated the first time. Can you believe it?! Again, so glad I tried. If the options are to try again or pull the tooth, I'm trying again and gee am I glad I did. The procedure was straightforward and didn't last the entire time slot they designated for me. I listened to music in my earbuds the whole time and have since had a follow up to check its progress. It is healing nicely and the root canal seems very successful. I only wish I knew of and had gone the endodontist route the first time around! Both Drs at this location are great and I highly recommend.

My Dentist thought that since the pain was so intense that I was awakened at night and I had a root canal done in the tooth that I felt was hurting, I should go directly to an endodontist. My Dentist referred me to Access Endodontists. I called Access Endodontists on 11/15/2024 and explained that my dentist referred me to them and that I was not sure which tooth was the issue as the pain seemed to move as it intensified. I was assured they could diagnose my issue. My insurance information was requested and given. Later someone called me and explained my covereage was maxed out. I asked how much the evaluation would cost if I paid cash and was told around $238.00. I agreed to the amount and was scheduled for an appointment 11/19/2024. I had a very missable 4 days but survived by alternating Tylenol with Ibuprofen. When I arrived on 1/19/2024 I was given forms to fill out. After filling out all the forms and while sitting in an examining chair, I explained my situation to the person who was helping me. The person helping me told me they could not evaluate my situation because I did not have a referral. I explained over and over that I did have a referral. They said they tried to contact my dentist but were unable to. I drove to my dentists office while in severe pain and asked what was going on. After some back and forth Access Endodontics told my dentist's office they require the dentist to evaluate the situation before sending them to Access Endodontics. This policy was news to my dentist. I made an oral contract with Access Endodontics and agreed to pay them money, then was refused treatment and left in intense pain. No alternative action was presented.

Super nice, warm personality, extremely professional, highly skilled dry needler. I had a horrible injury a year ago and been to other dry needlers, massage therapists, etc.. He's the best!! Trust me! I was an absolute train wreck when I first met him.. Piriformois syndrome, si joint, hamstrings, Charlie horses in my calves.. I had it all. Even sleeping was painfully unbearable for me. I absolutely cannot tolerate having my back "cracked." I have had some negative experiences with chiropractic care in the past. I knew I would benefit from chiropractic care for numerous (back, hip, knee) issues but I was nervous. Dr. Cosson listened to all my concerns and was able to show and explain things to me in a very easy to understand, yet detailed, manner. He uses a physical therapy type treatment approach. He does some soft tissue work combined with particular exercises to help my issues. He has helped me immensely - without the traditional "cracking" of my back. I have seen him for mid back, low back, hip, shoulder and knee issues. Each visit he is able to figure out my issues and explain the issue and then treatment approach. I would highly encourage anyone even considering chiropractic care to call Dr. Cosson. It's easy to make an appointment and you can even do it online.
