Whilst it's not the most posh place I've been, it usually gets the job done well. Drinks are how you would find at most pubs, and service is decent too, given how a waitress came to ask us what we wanted and served us amidst a busy rugby game (at other times, we had gone to the bar to order ourselves). There are quite a few tv screens as well as a big home theatre-like one too, which always adds to your sports watching experience. I've never had food here before but would like to try sometime. I hear that their wings are good. Be sure to bring an ID -- as its part of a casino facility, they check your ID even if you're here only for the bar and not for gambling.

Oddly, to open a tab, you have to give them both your credit/debit card AND your driver's license/passport/ID card. They give you a "badge" which you then show every time you order, apparently so they know which tab to bill it to. A bit weird to me, but maybe that's the norm in London, or at least in high-tourist bars in London. Also, they won't let men inside if you are wearing a hat-- you must remove the hat to enter. Fortunately, once inside, I put my hat back on and didn't have a problem with anyone saying anything. Glad my hat hair didn't have to be on display!

Bounce Is The New Rock and Roll - Not !…read more Having spent an hour in the car, curtesy of an extensive scenic route gifted to us by our cab driver, we were getting more than a little tetchy about getting to our destination. Pulling up outside a tiny doorway, still not knowing what we were going to be doing, we headed downstairs into Bounce. By the time I hit the second flight of stairs, I knew I hated everything about it. A heaving, crowded, noisy sea of people, swirling around the bar, ping pong tables and mini tables covered with pitchers, cocktails and beers; all set against a pounding 'musical' bassline. In fact, that bassline was so loud and distorted, that you were forced to shout at even your closest buddy. We had a booked at the back of Bounce, on a raised stair platform, that faced onto the restaurant which was just starting to get busy. Right about now, in one of my regular Yelp reviews, I'd usually run you through the decor, food and drinks, but as I stayed precisely 30 minutes before leaving, so repelled was I by the people sardine/boom box effect, I don't have much else to say about the place. If you're a 20something who wants a great lively joint to hangout with friends or meet your buddies after work, then Bounce is just for you. If you're over 30 and want a chilled beer or three in fun surroundings, that allow you to hear what your buddies are sayng, then unless you like shouting, I'd give Bounce a miss.

This place just amazes me - I had to stop a minute to take it all in when I arrived last Friday…read moreeve. I just loved the atmosphere (the gin probably helped with that) - the place is huge and heaving and everyone seems to be having a great time whether they're on a table or not. I have particular love for the DJ who I wanted to hi-five for the excellent old school tunes they were playing, and also whoever it is that flips the on the UV lights later in the eve. As if it wasn't tricky enough playing table tennis when you can see the ball! I have to say I actually surprised everyone (mostly myself) by being pretty good on my first go. My later performance at the table showed it was a bit of a fluke though! I didn't think much of the cocktail I ordered but switching to (strong!) G&Ts was a good decision. A couple of us also shared a goat's cheese and caramelised onion pizza later in the eve to line the stomach which was delicious - I'd eat goat's cheese off just about anything but I especially enjoyed this lovely light dough. Your only issue is going to be getting a table - make sure to book ahead to avoid disappointment, and I recommend a later slot in the evening than you think you'll need in order for everyone to get warmed up at the bar. Other than that, my tips would be to use the cloakroom (it's free, hurrah!), watch out for flying balls heading into your drink and avoid white underwear for when the UV lights come on. Enjoy!

I almost died here…read more Let's rewind a little bit, though. So Walkabout is a great place but the seating on the upper level is not guaranteed after a certain hour, where they are certainly going to be reserved. However, there is ample seating on the ground level. The Walkabout platter is a GREAT bet if you're looking to share with one person. My group of 6 got three platters and we were happily fed. It comes with 2 kangaroo kebabs (TRY IT, KANGAROO TASTES AMAZING), 2 garlic breads, 2 corns, onion rings, french fries, and 4 total chicken tenders. Fantastic serving size for 10 pounds total, which is only 5 a person! As for the drinks, the happy hour pitcher situation is fantastic. It's a pitcher for 6 pounds!! Executing on this deal, I asked for a rum and coke pitcher. They said they don't do that, but offered a vodka/red bull instead. I gladly accepted. I noticed later that they had a rum/pepsi/malibu(?) type combination which I don't see why the bartender failed to mention. Anyways, I got my vodka/redbull pitcher and downed it quick. So I foolishly decided to get another pitcher and down that one as well. With the pitchers being six pounds, I figured why not. Albeit this was already 2 pints in. I was awake for the next 45 hours. I went over the top, let's be honest. However many Red Bulls they put in there kept me up for basically 2 days. SO THAT WAS A LITTLE NIGHTMARISH BUT IT WAS ONLY BECAUSE OF THEIR FANTASTIC HAPPY HOUR PRICES! Go to Walkabout. Drink responsibly.

Originally from Australia it was refreshing to find such a great place in the middle of London…read more I was in town for the Rugby World Cup final :( and came by to watch the 3rd place match between South Africa and Argentina. The place was extremely busy. Despite how crazy it was I managed to get served very quickly at the food counter with a great meat pie. At the bar I tried several of the Aussie beers many which I didn't even think were even being exported. Relatively they were priced well. The only negative thing I can say is that the upper area was all closed off for a private function and it was hardly being used. It would have been nice to be able to sit somewhere while eating. Some of the Aussie beers available.... Victoria Bitter James Boags Coopers - Pale Ale Coopers - Sparkling Pure Blonde Fosters...ummm yeah..ok..
