STAY AWAY FROM THIS ATTORNEY! She's very shady. She will ask for a high retainer and she will DO NOTHING FOR YOU!! I have asked her to help me out on a corporate issue with the labor commission and asked to post-date my retainers for a few days and she agreed, but the minute I signed my retainer, and handed her the post-dated check, that same day she cashed it. Thereafter, the difficult of getting a hold of her.... refused to talked and discuss my issue and I eventually terminated her as my attorney. Little does she know, we know the same people in the Filipino Community, and I can't believe she would do such shadiness by trying to take my money do less to nothing! Everyone, look at other attorneys for your legal needs because you will end up being screwed by this attorney for her unprofessional and shady practice. BEWARE!!!!! read more

Let me update my review, as I am SOMEONE who ACTUALLY RETAINED Lani to represent me, as NONE of the other 3 DID!!!! Lani settled my case (which would have been a big FAT 0) for a hefty settlement. It was very QUICK!!!! I got my checks VERY QUICK!!! I can speak for ACTUALLY HAVING HER REPRESENT ME!!!!! I had a case that would have been a BIG FAT ZERO......and LANI turned it into a BIG FAT WIN!!! So these other OBVIOUSLY DID NOT listen to Lani, and DID NOT understand the LEGALITIES of LAW, especially WORK related law. Nevada is a RIGHT TO WORK STATE....if you do not like the way you are being treated..you have the right to leave! Age discrimination, sex, color ETC....in NEVADA you are totally SCREWED....... I however am ONE WHO WAS NOT SCREWED!!!! read more

September 2016!!!!! The most unprofessional, pathetic and disrespectful lawyer I ever met!!! She's extremely late to her appointments, never calls you to inform you what's going on, never returns your calls, doesn't give you a breakdown of the charges, and goes to court with coffee stains on her suit with the hem coming undone. You would think with the money people give her she could at least look presentable in representing you in front of the judge, apparently not! Don't not let this woman represent you, she's like a stripper, a CON ARTIST!! read more

Lani has been nothing short of amazing. She's the best attorney for EMPLOYEES! She will fight for you and make sure your voice is heard!! If you need a great labor attorney or ADA Discrimination attorney she's the one!! read more

I had the privilege of having Lani represent me and I can say that she is a hard-working, honest, and reliable person. In addition, Lani has proven to be extremely organized, and transparent to her clients. Her knowledge in her area of practice as well as her great attitude reflects satisfaction with many clients she has served and has my highest recommendation. read more

Lani is super thorough and gets straight to the point. She is great at her job in my opinion. She is also very honest, understanding, and extremely kind. During my whole process I had to travel out of town to see an endometriosis specialist and her, and her team worked with my schedule. I would definitely refer my friends to her. read more

Do not trust this attorney. She is a total sham- shady to the core. She is only concerned with getting as much money from you. Even if she knows your case is losing, she will not be honest and transparent -she will prolong the case with her so she can take the most of your money and even had the nerve to overcharge you. DO NOT TRUST HER. After she got my retainer, she forgot her obligation to appear before the trial judge which placed my case in jeopardy. She would not admit to any fault of hers. She knows only her own opinion - one track mind and irritating! She is not open to what you say even though you were the one who experienced the case. You will not feel being advised of developments in your case. She want you to decide something without feeding you the necessary information. In other words, she does not act like a true and honest ally. You might as well do it alone. She can not be trusted! She is only after your money. read more

Apparently one must ramble on when providing a review, rather than simply use words descriptive of our meeting with Lani Esteban Trinidad (Thater), to not have their review deleted on Yelp. We arrived promptly, she arrived late, disheveled and unkempt in appearance. We waited while listening to her prepare herself, bathroom, hair, clothing change it seems. When finally meeting, she barely looked up, looked down at her left wrist constantly, was abrupt and appeared to not listen - or care - at all. Whether there was a case or not is moot as this would not be an example of a professional, or kind individual, that we would retain to represent us in any forum. With the few positive generic reviews read here, there is nothing that identifies why she/they are great (the results) with the exception of one from 2013. There are too many other firms that have true case examples of the results achieved. We chose poorly for these consultations, but didn't make the mistake to retain. Do your research people. read more

The expierence with this attorney was horrific, mainly because of her absolute inability to follow up in a timely manner or follow through with what she says she will do. She does not take her fiduciary responsibility seriously and we will be making a formal complaint to the bar for her handling of our case. Also please be aware she does not apply the consultation fee to the fee she charges. read more

I had a very good experience with the entire staff of Thater Law Group. She kept a level head throughout our entire case while i obviously was emotionally tied and worried. Its good to have someone in your court that backs you up and doesnt take crap from other lawyers or people. I was in a situation against a company and lawyers that had the means and manpower to make me go away but when I partnered with Lani and her office I felt like i had a team. I actually enjoyed going into her office, she always made me feel welcome and made me feel like a friend. I like people who are real, raw and straight to the point and Lani was exactly that. read more

Lani worked diligently with me on my employment case. I can tell you that she is a very attentive and detail oriented lawyer and was able to get an unfair injunction against me thrown out. She helped me through a difficult time and helped me move through my case as smoothly as possible. She knew her stuff and I was happy to have her as my attorney. read more

I worked with Lani and she is terrific. She understood exactly what needed to be done and did it without hesitation and never gave up or gave in. read more

One word. HORRIBLE! My husband saw the EEOC and had a very good, straight forward case and Amber Rose met with him for a $100 consultation. She kept going in circles about him having a case but needling proof of what happened and when he presented her the proof that was also given to the EEOC, she wasn't very positive. We left more confused and $100 less. We called numerous other law firms and they ALL said the same negative things about Esteban-Trinidad! Even there past clients have nothing good to say about them! We ended up hiring another lawyer from a different law firm. This lawyer also had nothing good to say about them and heard our case and has taken it on. I don't suggest that law firm unless you want to lose money and get no where! I wanted to rate this as NO stars but it made me pick atleast one... Which is one too many! read more

I can only speak about my experience, Lani and her fantastic team were nothing but helpful, light hearted, compassionate and down right great to work with. I found Lani to be entertaining dealing with my case lol but that's just me. I was dealing with a difficult time, as anyone requiring a lawyer, I had no idea what a reasonable settlement would be and the other half of this dispute were terrible awful people and she made it equally difficult for them which I found entertaining because I know I don't play hard ball well. She always handled herself professionally and out of the 3 lawyers I sought counsel with, I felt the safest with her team and how confident they were with my case. Why does she need to look and act like miss congeniality? She's straight to the point with her clients and aggressive when dealing with the other side, what more do you need? My case ended quickly and painlessly and I got what I deserved. read more

I wouldn't mind the arrogance, if she actually knew what she was talking about. I found it unprofessional to make me wait over an hour for our consultation appointment. If she felt my case was not worthwhile, I should have been told that when I called and asked if her office handles my type of case. She kept interrupting me and repeating basic law from a text book that had no significance to the questions I was asking. The little advice she gave me on my rights later turned out to be completely WRONG, which I found out too late. She knew from the start she wouldn't help me, and just wanted the consult fee. read more

Dont' go to these people. They will take your $100 consultation fee, then spend 10 minutes why they can't take your case. It was a waste of my time and money. No wonder lawyers have such a bad reputation. They've earned it! Save your money. Don't go to these people! read more
