had to stop to fill up here and was thirsty so I'd decided to get a drink from inside and all of tea machines were broken the icee machine was broken the Dr Pepper was flat and watered down. Stopped at the new store today in Schulenburg for the brisket and macaroni that is advertised in their windows. The deli worker looked at me oddly and stated that I had to order in "the tablet", then she turned and left. I looked all over for "the tablet" and even online. I'm sure I'll find it someday, but in the mean time the Whataburger across the street sure is a friendly place to eat. read more

Says made fresh to order, but the guy behind the counter told us to go get good out of the warmers across from him and told us to order off their computers. There were so many flies in their food area and it didn't look good , We ended up leaving after getting gas and going elsewhere. read more

Bought a bbq sandwich. Was virtually inedible. Sitting with all other food in a heated bin. Bun was crunchy it was so stale. I took two bites and gave the rest of the $8 sandwich to the dog. Hardly the "fresh" sandwich promised. There were three girls working while I was there and all acted like I wasn't there. When I asked a direct question I got a terse non-response. I had stayed the night in my RV (conversion van) so I think they were pissed about that. There were half a dozen trucks parked there so it seems they just don't like RVs. I've posted this to some RV forums I'm on to spread the word. Haven't come across any RVers who had even heard of them. So- I guess they will get their wish and RVers won't be bothering them. My family and I went there on way back from San Antonio to Victoria.I absolutely loved it.There selection of coffee made my evening with a selected brew I hadn't tried before a pecan flavor that reminded me of cracking pecans with my siblings some 50 years back.The dried sausage was perfect to my liking.There was a shift change going on and the person in front of me won $150 on lotto cards.If I had only gotten there 10 min. I went to get a slushy from the texan and as i'm pouring one of the drinks i see it's really liquidy and not the thick consistency it's supposed to be. so i stop pouring it in the cup and into the tray to see if it was just that little bit or if it's all of it as i'm looking at it an employee comes up to me and says the tray doesn't drain and rudely tells me to stop. so i try to explain to her that it didn't look right but she ignores me. read more
